CALLAHAN - Robert J., 85, passed away April 7, 2007. Survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Jo (Burkhard) Callahan; children and their spouses, Dr. Robert J. (Toni) Callahan II of Johnstown; Margaret A. (Steve) Severson of Cove, Ark.; William A. (Jill) Callahan of Rockford, Ill.; and Daniel G. (Mary) Callahan of Kenosha, Wis.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his brother, William (Martha) Callahan of Detroit, Mich.; and brother-in-law, John (Betty Lee) Burkhard of Ligonier. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Rose (Stoltz) Callahan, and his sister, Maria Trainia. He was Born on May 24, 1921, in Carrolltown. Graduated from Carrolltown High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945, when he received an honorable discharge at the rank of staff sergeant. Funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Kenosha, Wis. Interment, with military honors, was at West Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be sent to St. Peter's Catholic Church, 2234 30th Ave., Kenosha, Wis. 53140.

CASSAT - Mary C.

Survived by husband, Frank R. Cassat; children, Colleen Harris, Johnstown; Frank R. Cassat Jr., Hampton, Va.; Michele Mondi, Chambersburg; and Melissa, wife of Kevin Williams, South Fork; and grandchildren, Ben, Marissa, Luke, Brittinie, Gina and Gabby. Sister of Carol, wife of Richard Civis, and Janice Staicer, and former husband, Steve Staicer, and sister-in-law, Jean Petroro, all of Johnstown. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews, and special pets, Coby and Jessica. Retired seamstress from the former Bestform Foundations. Member of ILGWU. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Gary Tustin. Committal, Grandview Mausoleum.

Maria graduated from Bishop McCort High School Class of 1952. She received her bachelor's degree from Seton Hill College, Greensburg, and master's degree from Middlebury College, Vermont. Maria was the Latin teacher at Walt Whitman High School, Bethesda, Md. She was the beloved sister of Lucille Marten (Jim Marten) and Priscilla Ryan (Dr. Jim Ryan). Devoted aunt of nine nieces and nephews and 17 great-nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Potomac, Md., on Friday, Feb. 16, 2007. Burial at Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown, on Monday, April 16, at 3 p.m. Contribution remembrances may be made to St. Rose of Lima Social Concerns Program, 11701 Clopper Road, Gaithersburg, Md. 20878.

Goughnour, Mineral Point, whom she married June 15, 1953; children, Robert A., married to Linda Krinjeck, Mineral Point; Donna, wife of Robert Thomas, Johnstown; and Nancy, wife of John Krinjeck, Richfield, Pa.; six grandchildren; and brother, Harry Baxendale, Bedford. Bonnie was a member of Ebensburg Evangelical Bible Church in Revloc. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork. Viewing at Ebensburg Evangelical Bible Church, Revloc, from 1 p.m. Sunday until time of service at 2 p.m., by the Rev. Marvin Lowery officiating. Interment, Ogden Cemetery, Jackson Township.

KOLESZARIK - John F.
KOLESZARIK - John F., 81, Central City, passed to eternal life with the Lord at his home surrounded by his loving family on April 11, 2007. Born Jan. 11, 1926, the son of Stephen and Susan (Chordas) Koleszarik. Preceded in death by parents and brothers, Michael and Stephen. Survived by wife of 56 years, the former Lillian Orris, and children, Karen (Nevin) Mincek of Central City, Claudia (Stanley) Lebda of Hooversville, Steven (Regina) of Windber, and Bernadette (Joseph) Visinsky, Mark (Cheryl) and John (Melissa), all of Central City. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Brother of Erma Westover of Ohio and Goldie Szuch of Illinois. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having received two battle stars. Retired millwright from Bethlehem Steel and was active in his parish, having been a member of the Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus, choir and served as an usher and reader. A past commander of Central City VFW, former borough councilman and member of the American Legion. John spent the last 35 years taking special care of the parish Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Mulcahy Funeral Home, Central City, where wake service will be held Sunday evening. Funeral Mass will be concelebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at Our Lady Queen of Angels Church, the Rev. Father Joseph Maurizio, pastor. Committal, with military honors by American Legion Post 449, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery. Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, led by the Holy Name Society and K of C Council 9109. Friends who wish, may make contributions to Conemaugh Hospice or the family in John's memory.

LYDIC - Shirley Patricia
LYDIC - Shirley Patricia, 77, Virginia, formerly of Johnstown, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 13, 2007. She was the daughter of George and Isabelle (Schmadel) Livingston, Born on June 29, 1929, in Johnstown. Shirley was the devoted wife of Harold "John" Lydic for 25 years and was a loving and much-loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who lived in Richland until retiring in 1994. After 18 years as a caring nurse at Arbutus Manor, she moved to the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Great Falls, Va. She is survived by her five children, Debby Ickes, and husband, Mark, Greensburg; Todd Lydic, and wife, Vicki, Johnstown; Garry Lydic, and wife, Susan, Leola; Kimberly Dulaney, and husband, Stephen, Great Falls, Va.; and Mary Lou Silbaugh, and husband, Wally, Brush Valley. She also is survived by her 10 grandchildren, Lonny, Brandi, J.D., Jen, Tara, Stephanie, Tessa, Jaimie, Loren and Blase; and 11 great-grandchildren, Kyle, Dominic, Jocelyn, Tyler, Joshua, Jacob, Matthew, Karissa, Mason, Alessandra and Roman, all whom she dearly loved. She also is survived by her loving sister, Carol of St. Petersburg, Fla., and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant sons, Mark and James John; and brothers, Dennis and George. Shirley was a prayer warrior and gave her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren a Christian legacy that will live on for generations, and as a result, will continue to touch lives for Christ. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon Tuesday at Geisel Funeral Home, Dale, Pastor Ronald P. Carnevali Sr. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery. Kelly, wife of Eric Williams; Dr. Daniel Glass; Jonathan Glass; Kristen Impala; Megan Impala; Christine Ondesko; and James Ondesko; sisters, Verna Drobnak, Portage, and Agnes Barwatt, Windber; also trusted German Shepherd, Blaze. Michael was president of Dunlo Transfer Co., Johnstown, and was a partner in the former Dunlo Construction Co. He served in the Navy as a petty officer in the South Pacific during World War II. Mike was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Dunlo Chapel; Dunlo American Legion Post 573; Dunlo Slovak Club; Dunlo Rod -- Gun Club; and Beaverdale Sportsmen's Club. Friends will be received from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork, where vigil for the deceased will be held Sunday afternoon. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Spirit Chapel, Dunlo, Father Albert H. Ledoux. Committal, Richland Cemetery. Military graveside service by Dunlo American Legion Post 573.
