Mark H. Pettersen
ERIE, Pa - Mark H. Pettersen, 47, of Erie Independence House in Erie, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 9, 1954, in Ashtabula, the son of the late Rev. Howard B. and Dorothy E. (LeDuc) Pettersen.
Mr. Pettersen was a graduate of Ashtabula High School.
Survivors include his sister, Susan Yochim of Woodbury, Minn.; and a brother, Rev. David J. Pettersen of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday graveside at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Erie, followed by a memorial service at 3:30 p.m., at Erie Independence House, 956 West 2nd St., Erie, with the Rev. David McIlvried of Saint Paul Lutheran Church officiating.
No calling hours will be observed.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Erie Independence House or Saint Paul Lutheran Church, 3108 Sterretannia Road, Erie, Pa., 16506.
The Brugger Home for Funerals, 1595 West 38th St., at Greengarden Boulevard, Erie, Pa., is in charge of the arrangements.

Russell Hall
GREENVILLE, Pa. - Russell Hall, 93, formerly of Gustavus and Vienna, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, at St. Paul Homes Health Center.
Mr. Hall was born Nov. 19, 1908, in Marion Township, the son of Emmett J. Hall and Cora (Snyder) Hall.
He was employed by Republic Steel in Niles for 30 years, retiring in 1973. He was a member of the Gustavus Federated Church and enjoyed golfing and fishing.
Mr. Hall is survived by his wife, Helen E., whom he marriage on Aug. 11, 1941.
He was preceded in death by a son, Glenn, in 1961; four brothers, Leland, Richard, Harvey and George; and a sister, Margaret.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, 44428. The Rev. Steven Voelker of St. Paul Homes will officiate.
Burial will follow in Gustavus Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Homes Health Center, 339 E. Jamestown Rd., Greenville, Pa., 16125.

Janet M. Lucas
ERIE, Pa. - Janet Morrison Lucas, 64, of Erie and formerly of West Virginia, died Sunday, April 15, 2001, at Millcreek Community Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born April 6, 1937, in Barkersville, W. Va., she was the daughter of Edgar and Madge (Rice) Bledsoe.
Mrs. Lucas was employed in home health care most of her life as an aid in Geneva and Erie. She loved gardening and going through old cemeteries.
Survivors include her husband, George Lucas Sr.; two daughters, Helen Snyder of Perry and Judith Curry of Erie; three sons, George Lucas Jr., David Lucas and Mark Lucas, all of Erie; three brothers, Edgar Bledsoe of California, Donald Bledsoe of Springfield, Mass., and Billie Bledsoe of Middlebury, Ind.; 16 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one son, John Lucas; one grandson, Robert Baker; two sisters, Helen Marie Bledsoe and Judith Nelson; and her parents.
Service is 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Burton Funeral Home, 602 W. 10th St., Erie, with the Rev. James Patterson officiating.
Calling hours are 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Erie Cemetery.

James Harmon Bentley
WILLIAMSFIELD, Pa. - James Harmon Bentley, 52, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, in Hartstown, Pa.
The son of Vanzel and Opal Garnet (Johnson) Bentley, he was born in Rita, W Va. Aug. 22, 1948.
Mr. Bentley was a self-employed carpenter in Youngstown, and attended the Church of God in Ashtabula.
He is survived by a son Jeremy Bentley of Saudi Arabia; daughter Julie Bentley of Buffalo, N.Y.; four sisters, Brenda Hyde, Hartstown, Pa., Madeline Heiskanen of Cleveland, Phyllis Baker of Ashtabula, Janice Kristoff of Orwell; and two brothers, Harold Bentley of Pierpont and Marvin Bentley of Jefferson.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Bob, Paul, Billy Joe, and Carley.
Arrangements are incomplete at this time.
Randall Brothers Funeral Home, Hartstown, Pa., is in charge of the arrangements.

Marlis M. Fenton
CONNEAUTVILLE, Pa. – Marlis M. Fenton, 77, died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, at Meadville Medical Center, Meadville, Pa., after an extended illness.
She was born May 20, 1925, in Exeland, Wisconsin, the daughter of George and Lula Mae (Baker) Bates.
She marriage George Fenton March 3, 1945. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Albro Packing, Meadville Products and American Viscose.
She was a member of Dicksonburg United Methodist Church, Conneautville and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Linesville Veterans of Foreign Wars.
She is survived by two daughters, Inez Ferguson of Coldwater, Mich., and Diane Carr of Pierpont; two sons, Dennis Fenton of Conneautville, Pa., and Leonard Fenton of Meadville, Pa.; five sisters, Florence Hillin of Culver City, Calif., Evelyn Holden of Baynnot Point, Fla., Doris Collett of Rancho Cordova, Calif., Lila Hoffman of Exeland, Wis. and Shirley Coddington of Hayward, Wis.; two brothers, Dick Bates of Exeland, Wis., and Norman Bates of Olympia, Wash.; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Jan. 30, 2000; two grandsons; one sister and one brother.
Funeral service is noon Monday at the White-Cool Funeral Home, 1405 Main St., Conneautville, Pa., with the Rev. Aaron Kerr of the Dicksonburg United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Pierpont, Ohio.
Calling hours are 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Raymond R. Ryel
ERIE, PA - Raymond R. Ryel, 67, of Austin Road in Geneva, died Tuesday, August 5, 2003, at the VA Hospital in Erie, PA.
Born February 15, 1936, in Thompson, Ohio, he is the son of Rollie & Clara (McClintock) Ryel. He lived most of his life in the Geneva, Ohio area.
Mr. Ryel was employed as a Transport Driver for the railroad. He previously owned and operated his own trucking company and drove a limo in New York, and had been a taxicab driver in New York and Ashtabula, Ohio.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
He enjoyed his grandchildren and was an avid reader.
Survivors include longtime companion Fran Daugherty of Geneva; two sons, Rick (Kim) Ryel and Randy Ryel, all of Ashtabula; six grandchildren, Aaron, Matthew, Mallory, Nicole, Ryan and Krista; three sisters, Arlene Braddock of Geneva, Ohio, Janice Taylor of Harpersfield, and Joyce Stokes of Ashtabula, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, June Rich Marshall; and one niece, Cynthia Taylor.
A Memorial Service will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, 2003, at the WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman Street, Geneva, with the Reverend Larry Wade, of Park Street Christian Church in Geneva, officiating. Burial of ashes will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Geneva, on Monday, August 11, 2003, at 10 a.m.
Friends may visit with family from 3 p.m. to the time of service on Sunday, August 10, 2003.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Eleanor E. Warren
ALBION, Pa. - Eleanor E. Warren, 73, of Cherry Hill Road, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, at St. Vincent Health Center, Erie.
Born Jan. 4, 1929, in Ashtabula, Ohio, she was the daughter of Vaino and Elsie (Sidbeck) Malin. She marriage Ray A. Warren Nov. 22, 1952.
A resident of the Albion area for the past 44 years, she was employed as a machine operator for the former Astatic Corp., Conneaut, for 38 years, retiring in 1990.
Mrs. Warren attended the Federated Church and was a member of the Cherry Hill Grange and HAWK, an animal protection organization.
An avid bowler, she enjoyed her family, horses, gardening, canning, traveling, reading and helping others.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Sr.; two sons, Ray A. Jr. of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, and Timothy of Albion, Pa.; a brother, Wesley D. Malin of Conneaut; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Thomas A. Warren; and a sister, Inez Ylisaari.
Service is 11 a.m. Friday at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Ohio, with the Rev. Edward Huntley, pastor of the Federated Church of East Springfield, officiating. Burial will be in Center Cemetery, Conneaut, Ohio.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Diabetes Foundation. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
