Lawrence, Robert F. Sr.
May 13, 1921
Robert F. Lawrence Sr., passed away at his home, 119 North Fairview street, Tuesday morning at 4:30 o’clock, aged 69 years. He was the son of Rev. Samuel and Sarah D. Lawrence. He is survived by his wife and three children; also one sister, Mrs. Wallace Hamilton, of Erie.
Funeral services were held at the home Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock.

Lane, Sarah
April 14, 1926
Mrs. Sarah Lane, widow of W. E. Lane, died Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the home of her son, Harry E. Lane, of Castanea township. She had been ill since last fall. Deceased who was 53 years of age is also survived by a daughter, Mrs. Charles Miller of Swissdale, and a brother and two sisters: Henry Kelbson of Walla Walla, Wash.; Mrs. Mary Feather of Eldredsville, Pa., and Mrs. Ida Hubbard of Proctor.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. W. E. Yingling of this city, on Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the
Dunnstown church. Interment will be made at Dunnstown.

Lansberry, A. C.
April 14, 1926
Word was received Tuesday evening by Mrs. George M. Stewart of South Fairview street that her mother, Mrs. A. C. Lansberry of Bigler, Clearfield county, had died that morning after a brief illness with influenza from which it was thought she had recovered. The telegram conveying the news of her death carried an incorrect word and the Stewart family was under the impression for several hours, that Mrs. Stewart’s brother and not her mother had died.
Mrs. Lansberry had visited here yearly. She was 78 years old and had been a resident of Clearfield county all her life. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Stewart, and one son, Reed Barger, of Woodland, Pa.
Mr. Stewart went to Bigler Tuesday evening and Mrs. Stewart and other members of the family expect to leave
tomorrow morning to attend the funeral.

Lindsey, William James
June 10, 1970
(Funeral Notice) Services will be at 2.m. Thursday at the Bechdel Funeral Home, the Rev. Lawrence Focht officiating, for William James Lindsey, 90, of 602 E. Church St., Lock Haven, who died at 11:50 a.m. Monday, June 8, 1970 at the Lock Haven Hospital Extended Care Unit. Interment, Clark’s Cemetery, Beech Creek. Friends will be received at the funeral home Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Litz, Perry E.
Wednesday, 11 May 1955
Lock Haven - Perry E. LITZ, 76, of rear 2 Bellefonte avenue, was found dead at his home yesterday morning by his son Earl.
Roy L. BRYERTON, Clinton County coroner, said that death was caused by aneurysm of the arteries and occured at 9:30.
Born in Dunnstown, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Burton LITZ and had lived all his life in this area. His employment included the New York and Pennsylvania Company, the North American Refractories and Claster’s building Supplies. He retired ten years ago.
Mr. LITZ was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church.
He is survived by another son Eugene, with the United States Marines in Miami, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Sarah BARNER, Williamsport and Miss Louella LITZ, Lock Haven, and a sister, Mrs. Fred PFLUGFELDER of Renovo and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, 101 West Church Street with Rev. Donald R. SCHAFFFER his pastor officiating.
Burial will be made at the Dunnstown Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home until time of the service.

Locke, Dylan Matthew
Tuesday, 5 March 1996
Danville - Dylan Matthew LOCKE, one day old, of Lock Haven, died Monday, March 4, 1996 in the Geisinger Medical Center.
Born March 4, 1996 in Lock Haven, he was the son of Lee David and Angel PROBST LOCKE, both of whom survive in Lock Haven.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are one brother, Zachary Pursell of Lock Haven; maternal grandmother, Mabel PROBST of Lock Haven, paternal grandparents, Harry and Teresa LOCKE of Lock Haven, and maternal great-grandmother, Evelyn DORMAN of Mill Hall.
Funeral Announcement - Interment: 7 March 1996, Rest Haven Memorial Park.

Litz, Bessie F.
Monday, 1 May 1961
Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie E. PFLUGFELDER, whose death occurred Tuesday, April 25, at the Renovo Hospital, were held Friday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Moriarty Funeral Home. Rev. Percy BOUGHEY, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Renovo officiated. Burial was made beside her husband in the family plot at the North Bend Cemetery.
Memorial services were held Thursday evening at 7:00 o’clock at the funeral home by the Gracie Rebecca Lodge No. 212 of Renovo.
Serving as Pall Bearers were Charles McMAHON, Eugene FRIEL, Elmer BATSCHELET, Donald CONFER, Oralando TASSA and James IGNOZZL.
Relatives and friends from out of town who attended the services included Mr. and Mrs. Clyde LITZ of Lock Haven, Mrs. Ralph RATHGEBER of Lock Haven, Mrs. Audrey LOVE of Lock Haven, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley PHOENIX of Draketown, Mrs. Francis DRUMATER and Miss Carolle Ann SMITH of Covington.

Litz, George F.
Saturday, 3 October 1970
Lock Haven - George E. LITZ, 77, of 9 Holly Drive, died of pneumonia at 5:15 a.m. today in the Jersey Shore Hospital. he had been a patient a week.
Mr. LITZ retired in 1958 from the New York and Pennsylvania Co. He was a native of Lock Haven, born Feb. 15, 1893, and was the last of a family of 12 children of the late Burton A. and Jennie MYERS LITZ.
He and his wife, the former Elva YOUNG, had been marriage 59 years.
She survives, with a son and three daughters; Mrs. Harold HAMM, Clearwater, Fla., Mrs. Eleanor RUHL, Lock haven, Mrs. Marjorie CAMPMAN, Rochester, N.Y., and Melvin LITZ of Oval, also 11 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Mr. LITZ was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Litz, Samuel F.
Tuesday, 27 January 1948
Samuel F. LITZ, 66, 115 N. Jay St., died at the Lock Haven Hospital yesterday at 6:30 p.m. where he has been a patient since September.
Born in Dunnstown, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Burton A. LITZ, he has lived in this vicinity all his life. He was employed by the New York and Pennsylvania Company until his illness in September.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. D. J. KELLY, of this city; Mrs. Fred PFLUGFELDER, Renovo, and Mrs. George MERRITTS, Cleveland, O, three brothers, Harry, Perry and George, all of Lock Haven. Also surviving are two step-daughters, Mrs. Howard WELSH, Williamsport; and Mrs. Florence ALLSHOUSE, Tunkhannock; and three step-sons, Harry H. PINGE of this city, Ralph PINGE of Braddock and James PINGE, Bellefonte.
His wife, Margaret, died five years ago, and a sister, Mrs. Harry PAINTER, died on December 30.

Litz, Burton A.
30 December 1943
Burton A. LITZ, whose tall and powerfully built figure has been a familiar sight in Lock Haven for many years, died yesterday (29 December) at 2:30 p.m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John DEVLING, 115 N. Jay St. He celebrated his 93rd birthday last March 17.
Mr. LITZ who had been ill a week with complications due to advanced years, was a native of Swissdale, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew LITZ. He had lived in this city since boyhood, and during his younger years was a lumberman and riverman. As he once said, he had “waded the Susquehanna from Clearfield to Williamsport” during his rafting days.
He was also a farmer for 20 years, was employed at the former pipe works here for many years and most recently was janitor for the Hope Hose Company for 15 years, retiring in 1923.
Mr. LITZ was a member of St. Luke’s Reformed Church, the Hope Hose Company and the P.O.S. of A. Lodge.
Surviving him are 80 direct descendants including four daughters and five sons, Mrs. D. J. KELLY, Mrs. DEVLING, Lewis E., Harry H., Perry E., Samuel F., and George E. LITZ, all of this city; Mrs. Fred PFLUGFELDER of Renovo and Mrs. George MERRITTS of Cleveland, O.; also 27 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Sherman LITZ of this city and James L. of Pleasant Gap also survive.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Helt Funeral Home with the Rev. Harvey M. LIGHT officiating. Interment will be made in Dunstown Cemetery.
