Ellen Morrison Kennedy
CONNEAUT, Ohio - Ellen J. Morrison Kennedy, 78, of Mill Street, Conneaut, died in Orlando, Fla., on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998.
She was born on Dec. 30, 1919, in Watertown, N.Y., the daughter of the late Louie M. and Marion Gray Morrison.
Mrs. Kennedy lived in Conneaut most of her life, and she and her husband spent winters in Winterhaven, Fla. She taught English at Conneaut High School and the former Rowe High School. She retired in 1970.
She was a graduate of St. Lawrence University. She was a member of the United Church of Christ, the Mary Redmond Chapter of D.A.R., the Elks Auxiliary BPOE No. 1672 in Winterhaven, the America Legion Auxiliary in Conneaut, the National Retired Teachers Association and the Friday Morning Bridge Club, and was an associate member of Winterhaven D.A.R. She served on the Carnegie Library Board and was a free-lance writer.
Mrs. Kennedy was preceded in death by a brother, Malcolm Morrison.
Survivors include her husband, Robert B. Kennedy; a daughter, Susan Krieg Shugerts of Conneaut; a son, Robert M. Kennedy of Hartville, Ohio; and five grandchildren, Benjamin and Kristen Krieg of Conneaut, and Philip, Stephanie and Santos Kennedy of Hartville.
Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Thompson-Smith Funeral Home, 345 Main St, Conneaut, and may attend a funeral service there Monday at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Ardis Rhinehart Kremer Home or to the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Daniel L. Mischler
Daniel L. Mischler, 42, 9516 Falls Road, Girard, died on Wednesday Jan. 21, 1998 at Saint Vincent Health Center.
He was born on Feb. 18, 1955, in Erie, a son of R. James and Lillian Anderson Mischler of Girard.
He was a 1973 graduate of General McLane High School. He attended Asbury College in Wilmore, Ky., and graduated from Edinboro University in 1978 with a degree in psychology.
Mr. Mischler had worked for nine years at the Gertrude Barber Center as a program manager and counselor in the adult division. He had also worked with Community Resources for Independence.
He was a member of First Alliance Church, where he had been a Bible teacher. He also held Bible study in his home. He enjoyed studying the Bible and music.
In addition to his parents, survivors include three brothers, Mark Mischler and his wife, Maria, of Waterford, John and Rob Mischler, both of Girard; and by three nephews, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call at the John Mark Gannon Funeral Home, 2505 Powell Ave., on Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday at First Alliance Church, 2939 Zimmerly Road, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral services there at 11 a.m. The Rev. Rick Crocker will officiate.
Burial will be at Girard Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Alliance Church or to Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department.

Charles L. Seibold
Charles L. Seibold, 73, 13446 Route 8, Wattsburg, died Wednesday evening, Jan. 21, 1998, at Hamot Medical Center following a short illness.
He was born in Erie on Dec. 12, 1924, son of the late Louis and Mary Seibold.
A resident of the Erie area for most of his life, Mr. Seibold had worked as a crane operator and jitney driver at General Electic Co. for 20 years until his retirement in 1990. He then worked as a school bus driver for six years in the Harborcreek School District.
He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6773 in Union City and the American Legion Post 237 in Union City. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a member of the State Police of Crawford and Erie Counties' Co. 27 for 27 years.
He enjoyed camping and citizen band radio in which his call name was "Lowville Charlie."
Mr. Seibold was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Seibold, and a brother, Edward Seibold.
He is survived by his wife, Marian R. Fuchs Seibold and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt and Son Funeral Home, 2926 Pine Ave., Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to services there Saturday at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. George Kennedy, pastor of the Lowville United Methodist Church.
Private burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Lowville United Methodist Church, 13427 Route 8, Wattsburg, Pa. 16442.

Michael J. Alexander Sr.
WESTFIELD, N.Y. - Michael "Freddy" J. Alexander Sr., 53, of Ellicott Estates Lot 45, Brocton, N.Y., died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998, at Saint Vincent Health Center.
He was born Nov. 6, 1944, in Stockton, N.Y., son of the late Lawrence and Virginia Shreve Alexander.
He lived most of his life in the Westfield, N.Y., area, moving to Brocton eight years ago. He had attended the Mayville schools and was raised in the Methodist faith.
Mr. Alexander had been a mechanic for Weisse Trucking in Sherman, N.Y., prior to being disabled. He enjoyed playing cards, doing crossword puzzles and tinkering with mechanical projects.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James "Rusty" Alexander.
Survivors include his wife, Suzanne Hemink Alexander of Westfield, whom he marriage June 21, 1980; two sons, Michael J. Alexander Jr. of Brocton, with whom he lived, and Scott Demming Sr. of Brocton; two daughters, Kelly Alexander and Lisa Colt, both of Westfield; three sisters, Geraldine Marsh of Cassadaga, N.Y., Charlotte Himes and Patricia Heilman, both of Westfield; three brothers, Ronald Alexander of Westfield, Dennis "Butch" Alexander of Ripley, N.Y., and Lawrence "Tink" Alexander of Portland, N.Y.; and nine grandchildren.
No calling hours will be held. A service will be held at a date and time to be announced.
Burial will be at Union Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to the charity of one's choice.
The Mason Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St., Westfield, is handling the arrangements.

Kathleen Cook Benigni
SAINT MARYS - Kathleen Cook Benigni, 89, a resident of Pleasant Ridge Manor in Girard, died at her home Tuesday evening, Jan. 20, 1998, after a long illness.
She was born May 23, 1908, in Force, Elk County, daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Shortt Cook.
Mrs. Benigni, who was a 1926 graduate of Weedville High School, worked as a clerk and in the business office of the former Smith Brothers Department Store. She did volunteer work for the Saint Marys Regional Medical Center Auxiliary.
She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Saint Marys and was a member of the St. Ann Society.
She was preceded in death on July 19, 1984, by her husband, Victor D. Benigni Sr., whom she marriage on Jan. 25, 1932.
Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Helen Trentini and Marguerite "Peggy" Cook, and a brother, Moarlee Cook.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Marguerite "Peggy") Taylor of Albion; a son, Victor D. Benigni Jr. of Saint Marys; a sister, Ruth Pistner of Saint Marys; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home, 169 Center St., Saint Marys, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Saturday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Chad Ficorilli will be the celebrant.
Burial will be at Saint Mary's Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant Ridge Manor, 8300 West Ridge Road, Girard, PA 16417; or to Sacred Heart Church or school, Saint Marys, PA 15857.

Glenn M. Ewer
Glenn M. Ewer, 71, 2659 Chestnut St., died Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998, at Hamot Medical Center.
He was born on Oct. 14, 1926, in Erie, son of the late Stewart and Isabel Martin Ewer.
Mr. Ewer had been a 1944 graduate of Millcreek High School, and later graduated from the Milwaukee School of Mortuary Science.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was the former office manager of Associate Transport, and was later employed by Jones Motor and Lyons Transportation. He retired from PNC Bank as a courier. At one time, Mr. Ewer had been an associate of Merle E. Wood Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Hughes Ewer; three sons, Keith S. Ewer of Little Rock, Ark., and his wife, Patricia, Kevin M. Ewer of Dallas and his wife, Ginger, and Kent G. Ewer of Erie and his wife, Michelle; and five grandchildren, Nathan, Brittany, Collin, Ashley and Cody Ewer.
Friends may call the Merle E. Wood Funeral Home, 215 W. 25th St., Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held there Saturday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Dwight Wagner, pastor of Garden Heights Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be at Erie Cemetery.

Clara M. Friggle
Clara M. Friggle, 88, R.D. 2, Bredinsburg Road, Franklin, died on Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998, at her home.
She was born in Bredinsburg on Dec. 27, 1909, daughter of the late George and Lulu Mae Elliott Friggle.
She attended Bredinsburg and Franklin schools, and graduated from Franklin High School.
Miss Friggle worked for Franklin Hospital from 1954 until her retirement in 1976. She began as a telephone operator, then later worked in the hospital's billing and insurance offices.
Her main interests were music and her church. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Rocky Grove, where she was active in the United Methodist Women, Friendship Sunday school class, and the United Methodist Home Auxiliary in Meadville (now the Wesbury Methodist Community). She worked with youth organizations in the area during the 1950s, and was a volunteer at the Cherry Run Campgrounds at Rimersburg. She played the piano there, as well as at the Bredinsburg Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John E. Friggle, and a niece, Mrs. Duane (Barbara) Boughner.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Carl (Goldie) Haun of Franklin; a nephew, the Rev. Jack Friggle of Oil City; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Chester (Alberta) Anders, at the Caring Place, Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St., Franklin, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. A service will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Frank Hodges, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church in Rocky Grove, officiating.
Burial will be at the Bredinsburg Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church in Rocky Grove, 350 Front St., Franklin, Pa. 16323; or to the Visiting Nurses Association of Venango County, 308 Seneca St., Oil City, Pa. 16301.

Carol Dawn Wise Cornell
CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS - Carol Dawn Wise Cornell, 66, 120 Market, Meadville, formerly of Guys Mills, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 1998, at Meadville Medical Center.
She was born in Eagle River, Wis., Nov. 28, 1931, a daughter of the late Dallas and Irene Johnson Wise.
Mrs. Cornell had worked as a nurse's aide for a number of years at Springs Manor Care Center in Cambridge Springs and for the Visiting Nurses Association of Crawford County from 1990 to 1994. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Meadville, a former member of its church choir, and had also been a Sunday School teacher and secretarial assistant for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Crawford County.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Jeffries.
Survivors include her husband, William Ivan Cornell, whom she marriage Nov. 20, 1952; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Darlene) McCoy of Columbus, Pa.; a son, Doug Cornel and his wife, Donna, of Hartstown; two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Donna) Davison of Saegertown and Mrs. Edward (Lois) Moore of Harborcreek; four brothers, Fred Wise of Centerville, Donald Wise of Townville, Alan Wise of Little Cooley, Pa., and Lyle Wise of Long Island, N.Y.; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Bible Baptist Church, 11166 Livermore Road, Meadville, on Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of services at 3 p.m. The Rev. Phillip Thomas, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be at Rootville Cemetery, Crawford County.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
The Van Matre Funeral Home, Cambridge Springs, handled arrangements.
