ROBERT G. GEARY
Robert G. Geary, 66, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1999, at the Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born March 19, 1933, in Yukon, a son of the late Grover C. and Charlotte M. Van Dyke Geary. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a meat cutter by the former Kroger Store in North Huntingdon and also by the Naser Packing Co. in Apollo. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict, having served with the U.S. Army. He was a member of the VFW Post 33 of Greensburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jesse and Edward Geary; and by two nephews, Thomas and Brian Geary. Surviving are his wife, Lois J. Clark Geary; three sons, Joseph J. Geary and his wife, Lisa, of Jeannette, Matthew D. Geary and his wife, Fremah, of Philadelphia and Michael C. Geary at home; three grandchildren, Robert C., Jessica and Maria Geary; two brothers, Marion "Bud" Geary of Arona and William Geary and his wife, Donna, of New Stanton; four sisters, Mrs. Catherine Miller of Jeannette, Mrs. Lewis (Sally) Trout of Herminie, Mrs. Sam (Charlotte) Fernell of Ohio, and Mrs. Connie Wallace of West Newton; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the BEATTY-RICH FUNERAL HOME INC., Route 136, Madison, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home Friday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Lawrence Raughley officiating. Interment will follow in the Madison Union Cemetery.

DR. CHARLES M. HEPNER
Dr. Charles M. Hepner, 92, of West Newton, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1999, in the Mon Valley Hospital Inc., Carroll Township. Born in Ella Hollow, July 11, 1907, he was a son of the late John and Mary (Eggleson) Hepner. A 1928 graduate of Monessen High School, Dr. Hepner was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where he taught botany. He received his veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He was a member of the Holy Cross Abbey Catholic Monastery in Berryville, Va. He worked as a veterinarian for many years. He is survived by his brother, Robert J. Hepner of West Newton; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Francis Hepner; and two sisters, Helen Turic and Rhea Dalola. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Sweeney Plan/Rostraver Township. A blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass in the Church of St. Anne, Rostraver Township, with the Rev. John R. Cindric, V.F., as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Monongahela Cemetery.

VIRGINIA R. JONES
Virginia R. Jones, 67, of Jeannette, died Monday, Dec. 20, 1999, in UPMC Presbyterian, Oakland. She was born April 10, 1932, in Ider, Ala., a daughter of the late Floyd A. and Annie Mae Adams Koger. Prior to retirement, she tended bar at the Grapeville Fire Hall. She was a member of the Grapeville Fire Hall and Hannastown Fire Hall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Doug and George Bob Koger. She is survived by her husband, Otis J. Jones of Jeannette; a son, Tommy Dale Hayes and his wife, Melba, of Ider, Ala.; a daughter, Carolyn Yvonne Heltebrand and her husband, Donald, of Herminie; two grandchildren, Sonny Lee Heltebrand and Christopher L. Heltebrand; a great-grandchild, Cameron James Heltebrand; a brother, Floyd Alfred Koger of Ider, Ala.; two sisters, Susie Shaw and her husband, Billy Jr., of Flat Rock, Ala., and Deanie Short and her husband, Wayne, of Ider, Ala.; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends were received at the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Dale Roddy officiating. Interment will follow in the Jeannette Memorial Park, Penn Township.

EDNA MAE (MOYER) KING
Edna Mae (Moyer) King, 86, of Delmont, formerly of Casselberry, Fla., died Monday, Dec. 20, 1999, in her home. She was born Sept. 10, 1913, in Penn, a daughter of the late David and Lillian (Biglow) Moyer. Edna was a former member of the United Church of Christ, and the Gleamers Club of Jeannette. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, William J. King; two brothers, Donald and Lawrence Moyer; two sisters, Doris DeFalco and Jean Mourry; and two grandchildren. Edna is survived by three daughters, Sandra Collier of Delmont, with whom she resided, Shirley Sever and husband, Edward, of Jeannette, Billie Little and husband, John, of Longwood, Fla.; a sister, Ann Saville and husband, Alfred, of Jeannette; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC. AT TWIN VALLEY, 463 Athena Drive, Delmont, (724) 468-1177, Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Edna's funeral service will follow in the funeral home with the Rev. James R. Wagner, pastor of the Faith United Methodist Church, Delmont, officiating. Private interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park. Kevin P. Altman, supervisor, in charge of arrangements.

ANNA B. SLIWINSKI KONIECZNY
Anna B. Sliwinski Konieczny, 88, of Champion RD1, formerly of Everson, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. She was born Sept. 15, 1911, in Star Junction, a daughter of the late John and Mary Martinowski Sliwinski. Anna was a longtime and faithful member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Everson. Anna leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted children, Chester A. Konieczny and wife, Christine, of Mt. Pleasant, Eugene J. Konieczny and wife, Patricia, of Mt. Pleasant, and Evelyn A. Pritts and husband, Robert, of Champion RD1, with whom she resided; five grandchildren, Cynthia Konieczny of Scottdale, James Konieczny of Arlington, Va., Daniel Konieczny of Florida, Sharon Pritts Chearney and her husband, Dan, of Frederick, Md., and Lori Pritts Durstine and her husband, Bobby, of Somerset; great-grandson, Daniel Chearney; great-granddaughter, Tiffany Chearney; three brothers, Edward Sknerski of Scottdale, Victor Sknerski and Walter Sknerski, both of Gary, Ind.; and a sister, Helen Blasco of Everson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H. Konieczny, who died April 7, 1990; and a sister, Dolores J. Ostrowski, who died April 15, 1982. Anna's family will receive friends in the FRANK KAPR FUNERAL HOME INC., 417 W. Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, Thursday from noon to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph R.C. Church, Everson, with the Rev. Dennis Bogusz as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph R.C. Parish Cemetery, Everson. A parish wake service will be held Thursday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.

MILDRED MARTIN
Mildred Martin, 80, of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1999, in the Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg. She was born July 23, 1919, at Trauger, a daughter of the late Andrew Sr. and Anna Magda Mattey. She was a member of the Visitation Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant, and its Christian Mothers and Rosary Altar Society. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Andrew Mattey Jr. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Martin; a son, Edward J. "Speedy" Martin and his wife, Sarah, of Mt. Pleasant; two grandchildren, Michael Martin and his wife, Jennifer, and Melanie Martin; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Abigail Martin. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant, Thursday from 2 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. in the Visitation R.C. Church, Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Michael Matusak as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Visitation Cemetery. The Visitation Christian Mothers and the Rosary Altar Society will recite the rosary at 6 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

IRA HAROLD MUSNUG
Ira Harold Musnug, 76, of Latrobe RD4, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, at his home. Born Aug. 16, 1923, in Scottdale, he was the son of the late Henry C. and Gertrude M. Foltz Musnug. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed by Latrobe Sheet Metal for 28 years. He was a member of the United Brethren Church, Lycippus. A World War II veteran, he served in the U.S. Army, in the European Theater in the Battle of the Bulge. He served with Company G with the 134th Infantry, and also acted as first scout for his squad. He was also a member of the rifle squad in combat. Mr. Musnug was a POW and a disabled veteran, having earned the Purple Heart in combat. A member and former commander of American Legion Post 982, Unity Township, he also belonged to the Youngstown Fire Hall, the Baggaley Fire Hall and the VFW in Pleasant Unity. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Helen M. (Schober) Musnug; four children, Barbara Haase of Latrobe RD4, Charles Musnug and his wife, Mary Jane, of Latrobe RD4, Harold Musnug and his wife, Florika, of Stafford, Va., and Patricia Angelo and her husband, Roger, of Latrobe RD4; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Vivian Kovacic of North Carolina and Marie Shears of New Mexico. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Nancy L. Weiss officiating. Interment in Bethel Cemetery, Cook Township. Graveside military services will be conducted by American Legion Post 982.

CARL F. RAISHART SR.
Carl F. Raishart Sr., 74, of Mt. Pleasant RD1 (Norvelt), died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, at his home. He was born Aug. 3, 1925, in Jamison 20 (Unity Township), a son of the late George and Veronica Raishart. He was a member of the St. Florian Catholic Church in United. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy. Also, he was a member of the Hecla Sportsmen's Club, the American Slovak Home Association of United, and a member and an avid golfer at the Norvelt Golf Course. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. He is survived by his wife of 49{1/2} years, Mary Ann Solomon Raishart; the following children: Denise Sillett and her husband, Manfred, of Norvelt, David Raishart and his wife, Susan, of Canonsburg, Carl Raishart Jr. and his wife, Judy, of Latrobe, and Michael Raishart Sr. and his wife, Karen, of Norvelt; six grandchildren, Erich, Krista, Kevin, Michael Jr., Matthew and Robbie; two sisters, Veronica Planinsek and Madeline Lantzy, both of Ligonier; nieces and nephews; and his devoted companion, Mitzie. Friends will be received at the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt, Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 9:20 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in the St. Florian Catholic Church with the Rev. John M. Foriska as celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Florian Cemetery, Trauger. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Latrobe Area Hospital Hospice Program, West Second Avenue, Latrobe, PA 15650. Military graveside service will be accorded by the AMVETS Post 94 of United and the Armbrust Veterans. Sandra L. Hoffer, funeral director.

DOROTHY L. ZAVAL
Dorothy L. Zaval, 77, of North Huntingdon, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1999, in Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. She was born May 2, 1922, in Irwin, a daughter of the late Robert and Millie Reed Milburn. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of the Covenant in Irwin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Erma Ed. She is survived by her husband, Robert Zaval; a son, Daryl Zaval of Portland, Ore.; two daughters, Mrs. James (Barbara) Casorio of Irwin and Mrs. James (Melani) O'Connell of North Huntingdon; and five grandchildren, Jim, Joe, Melissa, Kacie, and Cody. Friends will be received at the SHIRLEY-KUKICH FUNERAL HOME INC., Clay Pike, Circleville, North Huntingdon, Thursday from 1 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel Friday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. John Pressler and the Rev. Russell Martin co-officiating, followed by interment in Restland Cemetery.

GRACE E. FALCONE
Grace E. Falcone, 89, of Greensburg, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. She was born Dec. 11, 1910, in Vandergrift, a daughter of the late Charles and Bertha Imhoff Moore. She was Protestant by faith. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Falcone; and a son, William Maxson. She is survived by two daughters, Grace E. Morrison of Greensburg and Arlene Lytle and her husband, Ronald, of Saltsburg; a stepson, Anthony Falcone and his wife, Pauline, of Latrobe; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. There will be no public visitation and services will be private. BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, Greensburg, is in charge of arrangements.
