ROLLINS, Frances
Entered into eternal rest on the morning of June 20, 2002, Frances Roberts Rollins, widow of Eugene Porter Rollins, Sr. Residence, James Island, S.C. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services Monday at 11 o'clock in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. Interment, Holy Cross cemetery. Friends may call at Stuhr's Downtown Chapel one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Rollins was born March 10, 1921 in Charleston, S.C., the daughter of Henry Baker Roberts and Minnie Lambert Roberts. She was a member of Fort Johnson Baptist Church and a member of Kings Daughters and Sons.
She is survived by one daughter, Frances Rollins Corbett; one son, Larry Willard Rollins; one sister, Helen Roberts Hudson of Charleston; 7 grandchildren; Donald R. Corbett, III, Robert E. Corbett, Jeffrey A. Corbett, Jerald P. Corbett, Stephen D. Corbett, Eugene P. Rollins, III and Christopher Rollins all of Charleston; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Ste. #504, North Charleston, S.C. 29406.

BOYLES, Leslie
VINTON, IA - Leslie Boyles, age 61, died Wednesday morning, June 19, 2002, at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton following a traffic accident.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday at the Urbana Christian Church with Rev. John Caughron officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. today at the Phillips Funeral Home in Vinton. A memorial fund has been established.
Local survivors include his daughter, Tami Naylor (Steve) of Moncks Corner, S.C.

HOLMES, Jr., Joseph
Entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 19, 2002, Elder Joseph Holmes, Jr., beloved husband of Mrs. Linda D. Holmes, father of Kevin L. Doctor, Joey D. Holmes and Cuyler L. Holmes, son of Mrs. Florence Holmes and the late Mr. Joseph Holmes, Sr., brother of Vivian Holmes, Jassie Mae Thompson, Mary Fields, Sinclair Holmes, Maxwell Holmes, Eugene Holmes and William Holmes, nephew of Mrs. Mary Smith and Mrs. Octavia McCloud. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Lillie Mae Failey Chapman, the beloved mother of Rudolph (Adelfa) Chapman, Jr., Thelma A. Failey, David M., Robert L. and Gloria J. Chapman, the sister of Daniel "Pompie" (Louise) Failey, Ana Lee Failey, Ruth Wright and Sarah Carpenter (William), grands, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends are invited to attend her homegoing services on Saturday, June 22, 2002, 11:00 AM at House of God, Keith Dominion, Hampton Ave., No. Chas.

CHAPMAN, Thomas
Thomas Lee Chapman, 54, of Summerville, SC, husband of Bonnie Kerr Chapman, died Thursday, June 20, 2002, at a local hospital.
Funeral services will be held at Parks Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday afternoon, June 22, 2002 at 3 o'clock. Burial will be held Tuesday, June 25, 2002 at Beaufort National cemetery at 11 o'clock. Friends may call at PARKS FUNERAL HOME, SUMMERVILLE, SC this Friday evening from 6-8 o'clock. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 5000 Thurmond Mall, Suite 106, Columbia, SC 29201.
Mr. Chapman was born April 16, 1948 in Elkins, W. Va., a son of David Chapman and Anne Toth Chapman. He was a US Air Force veteran of Viet Nam, a retired employee of Cracker Barrell and a Roman Catholic. He was a member of the VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Kerr Chapman of Summerville, SC, two sisters, Carol Ann Messiah and Mitzie Lewis both of Latrobe, Pa., and seven nieces and nephews. Arrangements by PARKS FUNERAL HOME OF SUMMERVILLE, SC.

MUCKELVANEY, Julius
Julius Muckelvaney, 79, of Summerville, SC, husband of Florence Infinger Muckelvaney, died Tuesday, June 18, 2002 at a local hospital.
Funeral services will be held at Parks Funeral Home Chapel, Friday afternoon, June 21, 200 at 4 0 o'clock. Friends may call at PARKS FUNERAL HOME, SUMMERVILLE, SC.

MENCKEN, Martha
Martha Bowman Mencken, 85, of Charleston, died Thursday, June 20, 2002.
Born in Nashville, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late John and Vera Bowman and was predeceased by her husband Fred C. Mencken, Sr.
Surviving are a son, Fred C. (Kit) Mencken, Jr. of Prosperity; a daughter, Joyce M. Boyette of Greenville; a brother, Carl Bowman of Charleston; a sister, Mildred Inabinett of Charleston; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Sunday, June 23, 2002 from 12:00-1:30 p.m. Graveside services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.

SANDERS, Sr., Lee
The relatives and friends of USA Retired SFC Lee Sanders, Sr., are invited to attend his funeral services on Saturday, June 22, 2002, 3:00 p.m. at Union AME Church, 7213 Hwy. 17 North, Awendaw, S.C. Interment with full military honors in Sanders Memorial Gardens.
Retired SFC Sanders is survived by his wife, Mrs. Susie Mae Smith-Sanders. Two daughters, Ms. Renee Y. Sanders and Dr. Patricia Cooper (Richard). Two sons, Mr. Lee Sanders, Jr. (Corliss) and Pastor Vincent S. Sanders (Gloria). Three sisters, Mrs. Thelma Thompson (Jack), Mrs. Francena Thompson and Mrs. Odessa Ford. Three sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Viewing for Retired SFC Sanders will be at the William M. Smith Memorial Chapel, 2 Radcliffe Street, Charleston, S.C. on Friday, June 21, 2002 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at W.M. Smith-McNeal Awendaw Chapel. MILEY, Aline
Mrs. Aline Wulbern Miley, age 90, beloved widow of Percy Miley, a retired vice-president of South Carolina Electric & Gas Company, died at RoseCrest Lutheran Retirement Community in Inman, S.C. on Wednesday, June 19, 2002. Funeral services for Mrs. Miley, a native of Charleston, will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 714 Riverdale Avenue, at 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, 2002. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Rev. Palmer Clemmer of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer and Rev. Marion W. Clark of St. John Lutheran Church of Spartanburg will officiate. Mrs. Miley was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer since 1952.
Survivors include her three sons, Dr. John W. Miley and David B. Miley both of Campobello and Richard E. Miley of North Augusta; her daughters-in-law, June B. Miley and Norma N. Miley of Campobello and Carol A. Miley of North Augusta. Mrs. Miley enjoyed the love of six grandchildren, including Jenny K. Miley of Charleston, and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, 232 Calhoun Street in Charleston on Saturday, June 22, from 6 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 714 Riverdale Avenue, Charleston, S.C. 29407.

Entered into eternal rest on Thursday morning June 20, 2002, Mr. Robert "Bobby" Bowden, residence 759 Cartwright Dr., Charleston, S.C., the beloved son of the late Mr. James Bowden and the late Mrs. Margaret Bowden Poole, the brother of Mr. James C. Bowden, Mrs. Betty Ann Rutledge (James), Mr. Michael Bowden (Albertha), Mrs. Jacquelina Wright, Mr. Samuel Bowden and the late Mr. Benjamin Bowden.
