JOHNSON, Louis
Mr. Louis Johnson of 126 Frank Green Lane, Goose Creek, S.C. The beloved father of Dion Venson the beloved brother of Wilford (Joyce), Alfonso, Adongo, Rev. Tim Simmons, Oscar, Luke, Solomon Esperita, Janie Lee and Ida Mae. Family will receive friends at 110 Leemma Lane, Goose Creek, S.C. Funeral notice will be announced later.

KNAPP, Wallace
Wallace H. Knapp, 84, widower of Agnita Wibbelsman Knapp, of Summerville, S.C. died Tuesday evening, April 30, 2002 at a local hospital.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa the Little Flower Catholic Church, Friday morning, May 3, 2002 at 10 o'clock. The Rite of the Christian Burial will be at Summerville cemetery. Friends may call at PARKS FUNERAL HOME, SUMMERVILLE, S.C. this Thursday evening from 7-9 o'clock, with a prayer vigil at 7:30 o'clock.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. Theresa the Little Flower Catholic Church, 11001 Dorchester Road, Summerville, S.C. 29485.
Mr. Knapp was born July 24, 1917 in Schenectady, N.Y., a son of the late Louis H. Knapp and Jean Stewart Knapp. He was a graduate of the University of Michigan. He was a retired sales marketing associate. He was a member of St. Theresa the Little Flower Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Kiwanis.
Survivors include a daughter, Agnita Handlos of Summerville, S.C.; a son, Wallace H. Knapp, Jr. of Corvallis, Or.; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Jean Barnes.

FERNANDEZ, Dorothy
Dorothy Driggers Fernandez, 55, of Cottageville, SC died Monday, April 29, 2002 at a local hospital.
The funeral will be held at Little Rock Holiness Church, Friday afternoon, May 3, 2002 at 3 o'clock. Burial church cemetery. Friends may call at Parks Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6-9 PM.

Richard "Lil Rick" A. Burbage, Jr., 24, of Ladson, S.C., died Monday, April 29, 2002 at a local hospital.
Funeral services will be held at Parks Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday afternoon, May 2, 2002 at 3 o'clock. Burial will be at Summerville cemetery.

SILVA, Yvonne
Yvonne Silva, 55, of Goose Creek, died Monday, April 29, 2002. Born February 12, 1947 in Shawano, Wis., she was the daughter of Lyle Neil and Florence Minnie Marie Montoure (nee Korth). Mrs. Silva was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of The Legion Honor Guard, American Legion Post #0166. preceded in death by her brothers, David Montoure and Duiane Montoure, she is survived by her mother, Florence Feger, Antigo, Wis., her husband, James T. Silva, Goose Creek, S.C.; two daughters, Roseann Schreiber, Athens, Wis. and Tara Jean Silva, Eureka, Calif.; step-brother and his wife, Robert and Vicki Feger, Lewiston, Ill.; four sisters, Cynthia and (James Earl) McLendon, Goose Creek, S.C., Sharon Malueg, Neva, Wis., Sandy Montoure, Antigo, Wis., Deborah Willis, Antigo, Wis.; four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 3, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. in the McAlister-Smith Goose Creek Chapel, 100 S. Goose Creek Blvd., Goose Creek, S.C. Interment will follow at Plantation Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner, S.C. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 2, 2002 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. OLSEN, Jean
Jean M. Olsen, died on Wednesday, May 1, 2002 at a local hospital. She was a resident of Mount Pleasant, S.C. Mrs. Olsen was born April 5, 1922 in Muskegon, Mich. She was the daughter of Raymond Mount and Jean McClellan Mount. She was predeceased by her husband Emil M. Olsen. Mrs. Olsen is survived by her son, Raymond E. Olsen, of Damascus, Md. and her daughter Karen Sisk of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; two grandchildren, Michael Sisk, of Tucson, Ariz., and Melissa Poston, of Pamplico, S.C.; two great-grandchildren and a cousin Isabelle Wathen, of Muskegon, Mich. All services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Hospital at Medical University of South Carolina, 59 Bee Street, P.O. Box 250201, Charleston, S.C. 29425. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cordle of Mount Pleasant, SC are invited to attend a memorial service for the former Thursday, May 2, 2002 in Christ Episcopal Church (The Historic Church), Highway 17N, Mt. DICKERSON, Rosa
Mrs. Rosa Bell Dickerson, 101, of Dorchester, S.C., died Sunday, April 28, 2002, at St. George Health Care Center, St. George, S.C., after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, May 2, 2002, at the Greater St. Paul A.M.E. Church, Dorchester, S.C., with the Rev. Rufus Berry, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery directed by LING FUNERAL HOME, 5580 Memorial Blvd., St. George, S.C. (843) 563-3589.
Mrs. Dickerson was born September 1, 1900, in Harleyville, S.C., a daughter of the late Henry Simmons and Mrs. Elizabeth Simmons. She was a life-long member of the Greater St. Paul, A.M.E. Church where she served for many years as a very dedicated member of Missionary Board #2, YWCA, and the Women's Missionary Society. She was the oldest member of the church. She was first the widow of Mannie Bryant. Later she married Bunyon Dickerson who also preceded her in death. She attended the public schools of Dorchester County.
Surviving are two sons, J.D. Bryant of Dorchester, S.C., a very devoted niece, Mrs. Celia S. Williams of Trenton, N.J. She is also survived by three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

MEAD, Edna Ruth
Entered into eternal rest the evening of April 30, 2002, Edna Ruth Dill Mead, widow of Ronald Arthur Mead. Residence, North Charleston, S.C. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTH AREA CHAPEL, Saturday, May 4, 2002, at 1 o'clock. Inurnment will be private. Friends may call at Stuhr's North Area Chapel, Friday, May 3, 2002, from 6 until 8 o'clock.
Born October 29, 1945, in Baltimore, Md., Mrs. Mead was the daughter of the late Carl Martin Dill and Clara Dill. She was a homemaker and a member of Ferndale Baptist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Mead are her mother, Clara Dill of N. Charleston; a daughter, Kimberly Ann Law of N. Charleston; a son, Bobby Johnson of N. Charleston; a sister, Sheila Ann Oliver of St. Matthews, S.C.; a brother, Carl Martin "Marty" Dill of Havelock, N.C.; two grandsons, Joshua Duncan and Tommy Law, Jr., both of N. Charleston.
