Galbreath, Richard Lee
Richard Lee Galbreath of Summerville, husband of Betty Galbreath, died Aug. 31, 2007 at the Veterans Victory House in Walterboro. He was 65.
Funeral services for Mr. Galbreath were held on Sept. 3 at Dorchester Memory Gardens Oakbrook Chapel. Burial followed in Dorchester Memory Gardens.
Litchfield, Levance
Retired heavy equipment operator with Berkeley County, Levance Litchfield, was 82 when he died at his Moncks Corner residence on August 31, 2007.
The funeral was held at 3 p.m., September 2, 2007, at Providence Baptist Church. The burial was directed by Russell Funeral Chapel and was held in the church cemetery with military honors.
Platt, Paul
Paul Walter Platt, was a local artist and retired federal employee died Sept. 1, 2007 at his residence in James Island after battling cancer. He was 79.
Mr. Platt was born Dec. 19, 1927, in Charleston, S.C. He was the son of Paul Calhoun and Estell Platt. He was a graduate of St. Andrews High School and then served in the U.S. Navy.
Sheriff chief deputy succumbs to cancer
Dorchester County Chief Deputy William Morris "Bill" French, Jr. of Summerville died Aug. 22, 2007. He was 59.
French died at his residence battling cancer.

Taylor Eugene Gray, 13, of Summerville, SC, died Aug 22, 2007 at a Charleston hospital.
Funeral services were held Aug. 25 at Ridge Baptist Church. Burial was held at Summerville Cemetery.

Marion Leon Sanders, Sr., of Moncks Corner, S.C., was a retired owner and operator of Anytime Towing, was 70 when he passed on Saturday, August 11, 2007, at his residence.
The funeral was held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2007, at the graveside in Dorchester Memory Gardens. It was officiated by Rev. Robert Rivers. Interment followed. Directed by Dial- Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner.
