Mrs. Shook was a member of the Baptist Faith and was preceded in death by parents, Olaf and Lois Headrick; husband, John Shook and a brother, Jerry Headrick. Daughter, Carolyn Seay; sons, John, Raymond, Leon, Doug and Edward Shook; many wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren; 4 sisters and 12 brothers. Funeral services Monday, 8:00 PM at Berry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leon Shook officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.

Latham Fox; brother, Bill Fox; sister-in-law, Cindy Fox; great grandson, David E. Bumby. Husband, Jerry Loresch; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and John Hickman; Evelyn (Sissie) and David Ogle; step-children, Pat Loresch, Cindy McCammon, and Serina Pugh; grandchildren, John, Tonya and Matthew Hickman, Christina and Travis Ogle; Mark and Monica McCammon, and Brittney Pugh; great granddaughter, Amber Hickman; brothers, Bob Fox, Maynard and wife Nora Fox, Gene and wife, Debbie Fox, Jerry and wife, Mary Fox; several nieces and nephews. Mildred Anna McCarter Hopkins

Mildred Anna McCarter Hopkins, age 74 of Pittman Center, Tennessee, died Thursday, July 11, 2002, after a lengthy illness. She was a member of Webb’s Creek United Methodist Church. She was employed by Dr. Ralph Shilling in Gatlinburg for approximately twenty-two years until his death in 1972. She was preceded in death by parents Carl B. and Vernie Price McCarter. Survivors: Daughter and son-in-law: Carolyn Large Whaley and Jerry Wayne Whaley Daughter: Kim Hopkins Granddaughter: Lori Whaley Blalock and husband Doug Blalock Great Grandson: Charles D. Blalock Brother and Sister-in-law: Lester D. and Mary E. (Sib) McCarter and their family Very special life-long devoted friend Eunabe Williams, other friends from Dr. Ralph Shilling’s Clinic: Carolyn and Hubert Sexton, Betty and Arthur Hatcher, and Jean Marshall, and special friend and roommate, Elizabeth Lauderback, and many other friends at Pigeon Forge Care and Rehab and Smoky Mountain Dialysis Center. Funeral service 7PM Saturday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Melvin Carr officiating. Interment 2PM Sunday in Huskey Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be: Jerry Whaley, Doug Blalock, Ray Shults, Victor Oakley, Chris Ownby, and Bill Cardwell. The family will receive friends from 5-7PM Saturday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.

Survivors: Wife of 48 years: Pauline Rauhuff Sons and daughters-in-law: Reverend Tim Rauhuff and wife Cindy, Jeff Rauhuff and wife Tina, Billy Rauhuff and wife Peggy. Daughters and sons-in-law: Janie Newman and husband Ronnie, Frances Freels and husband Jack, Margaret Roberts and Ron Brunn, Sue McClanahan and husband Reverend Ken McClanahan. 17 Grandchildren 12 Great Grandchildren 4 brothers 5 sisters Special friends: Shaun Hurst, Carl and Bobbie Barber, special Hospice Nurse Carolyn Wear. Funeral service 2 PM Saturday, in the west chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Allen, Rev. Oliver Ray Williams, and Rev. Hubert Troutman officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-9 PM at Atchley Funeral home, Sevierville.

She was a well known designer and interior decorator and owner of LeConte Furniture Gallery in Gatlinburg, TN. She was very involved in her sorority Alpha Omicron Pi. She served as regional and international levels, which included International Philanthropic Chairman Alumnae Director, Regional Vice-President, International Administrative Vice President, International President, and National Pan-Hellenic Conference Delegate. Survivors: Daughters and son-in-law: Lisa C. and James F. Cronin of Farragut, TN., Alyson Lea Callaway of Valdese, NC Son and Daughter-in-law: George B. and Julia B. Callaway, Jr. of Lawrenceville, GA Her Five Grandchildren: Leslea Ann Cronin Bowen, Paul Callaway Cronin, Megan Lee Callaway, Griffin Beck Callaway, Hayley Suzanne Callaway Brother and sister-in-law: William J. and Joy Linebaugh of Venice, Fl.
