ODESSA — Geraldine Cross, 84, of Odessa, a former nursing aide, died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002, at Avalon Place.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Chad Durhan and Don Potter officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Aspermont. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Gary Cross of Odessa, Danny Cross of Arlington and Tommy Cross of St. Louis, Mo.; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Richard Lucero
ODESSA — Richard Scott Lucero, 35, of Odessa, a tubular service technician, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002, at Midland Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 5 p.m. Saturday at Temple Baptist Church in Odessa with the Rev. Griffin Jones officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Lovington, N.M. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Teresa Lucero of Odessa; sons, Jacob Lucero, Joshua Lucero and Jarrett Lucero, all of Odessa; parents, Nickie and Rob Kelly of Odessa and Joe and Maria Lucero of Dexter, N.M.; grandparents, Ruben and Arcenia Lucero and Nick and Betty Clemenza, all of Dexter; brother, Tony Lucero of Austin; sisters, Michelle Nelson of Albuquerque, N.M. and Jocelyn Lucero of Dexter.

Richard Lujan
ARLINGTON — Richard M. Lujan Jr., 44, of Arlington, a maintenance mechanic, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002, at an Arlington hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Jude Catholic Church in Mansfield. Arrangements by Blessing Funeral Home of Mansfield.
He was born in Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Marta Lujan of Arlington; daughter, Laura Lujan of Arlington; son, Richard Lujan III of Arlington; mother, Frances Lujan of Odessa; brothers, Rojelio Lujan of Denton and Catarino Lujan of Odessa; sister, Flora Butler of Waco; and grandmother, Praxedes G. Madrid of Odessa.

CRANE — Bettie Sue McNurlen, 68, of Crane, a retired accountant, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002, at her residence.
Services will be at 7 p.m. today at Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel in Crane. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Sandy Hubbard of Crane; son, Bill Brite of Abilene; brothers, Danny Taylor of Houston and Larry Taylor of Fort Worth; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Don Qualls
GARLAND — Don Qualls, 55, of Garland, a nurse, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002, at Baylor Hospital in Dallas.
Services will be at 7 p.m. today at Williams Chapel in Garland with the Rev. Mark Jones officiating. Arrangements by Williams Funeral Directors of Garland.
He was born in Brownwood. He was a medic during the Vietnam War.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Rory Qualls of Garland; daughter, Renae Jones of Odessa; son-in-law, Troy Jones of Odessa; mother, Nina Haney of Rogers, Ariz.; stepfather, Dempsey Haney of Odessa; brother Johnny Haney of Bentonville, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.

Ruth Steadmon
ODESSA — Ruth Steadmon, 86, of Denton, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002, at Denton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Director in Denton with the Rev. Bill Crouch officiating. Arrangements by Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors of Denton.
She was born in McComb, Miss. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Sherry Gay Steadmon Herrera of Denton and Janet Rae Steadmon Hamilton of Orange; sons, Jerry A. Young of Copperas Cove, Larry L. Young of Houston and John R. Steadmon and Michael G. Steadmon, both of Odessa; sister, Sarah Brown Hancock of Big Spring; 35 children; and 18 great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Jose Francisco Fuentes, 21, a Total Jetting employee, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Martinez Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
He was born in Libel, Venezuela. He was Catholic.

ALPINE — Harriet Helene Howell Little, 77, of Alpine, a retired aviation employee, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002, in Fort Davis.

She was born in Great Bend, Kan.

PECOS - Pedro 'Pete' Abila, 78, of Pecos, a retired concrete mixer, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at his residence.
