ODESSA — Miriam Price, 65, of Odessa, a retired bank teller, died Tuesday, April 11, 2003, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Services are pending with Chapa Funeral Home.
She was born in California.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Ron Price of Odessa; sons, Jeff Champion of Jackson, Wyo., Todd Champion of Odessa; daughters, Kari Blair and Jill Wright of Odessa; mother, Louise Barnes of Reddings, Calif; brothers, Tom Barnes of San Diego, Calif., Don Barnes of Conovers, Ga., Lowell Barnes of Reddings, Calif., Howard Barnes of Morrow Bay, Calif.; sister, Pat Halsey of Kennywick, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

John Ray Taylor
ANDREWS — John Ray Taylor, 54, of Andrews, a floor hand, died Tuesday, April 15, 2003 in Andrews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in McNett Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harvey Enriquez, pastor of Northcrest Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews West cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
He was born in Rayville, La. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Mother, Florene Taylor of Andrews; brothers, Roger Stewart of Durango, Colo., Gene Taylor of Texarcana, Texas; sisters, Vanessa Woods of Andrews, Donna Morris of Rock Springs Wyo, and Gerry Summers of Floyada, Texas.

Lewis Edward Hagan
ODESSA — Lewis Edward Hagan, 53, of Odessa, died Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at Rockwood Manor in Midland.
Services are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Vernon Hughes
ODESSA — Services for Vernon Hughes, 84, of Odessa, will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Perry Ross officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Hughes died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born March 26, 1914, in Stephens County. He married Jimmie Louise Swanner July 13, 1938, in Ranger.
Mr. Hughes moved to Odessa in 1947 from Fort Worth. He was a member of Odessa Primitive Baptist Church. He was an operator for an oilfield gas plant for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, William Jack Hughes, a brother, M.M. Hughes, and a sister Eddie Fish.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Hughes of Odessa; son, Gary D. Hughes and his wife, Suzanne, of Rockwall; daughter, Kay Woods and her husband, Terry, of Odessa; brothers, Raymond "Pete" Hughes and his wife, Mickey, of Sweetwater, and Alex D. Hughes of Breckenridge; sisters, Louise Boles of Gunsight, Velma Thorton of Perryton, Sarah Killebrew of Dallas and Rosie Griffith of Breckenridge; nine grandchildren, Linda, Peggy, Laura, Raymond, Terry, Zack, Jaime, Troy and Heather; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Domingo Hernandez
ODESSA — Mass for Domingo Hernandez, 58, of Odessa will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. David Herrera officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Monday at Martinez Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery.
Public visitation will be from 1 to 10 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday at Martinez Funeral Home.
Mr. Hernandez died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born April 4, 1940, to Jesusa Montanez Hernandez and Rodolfo Hernandez.
He was a retired water supplier for Culligan Soft Water.
He was "Papi" to Ryan and Karissa Herrera and Aubrey Villarreal.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Manuel Hernandez and Ben Hernandez; and a sister, Gloria Montez.
Survivors include his wife, Jessie Hernandez of Odessa; son, Domingo Hernandez Jr. and his girlfriend, Edith Aguirre, of Odessa; sisters, Estella Rodriguez of Midland, Virginia Buentello of Garland, Angelita Maldenado of San Antonio, Mary Guevara of Big Spring and Linda Olivas of Stanton; brothers, Rudy Hernandez of Seguin and Felix Hernandez of Miami.
Funeral arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.

ODESSA — Norma McNurlen, 72, of Monahans, died April 15, 2003, at the Monahans Managed Care Center.
Services are pending with Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

ODESSA — Alejo Villanueva, 81, of Odessa, died Monday, April 14, 2003, at his residence.

She was born in Redford. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Luis Acosta of Pecos; daughters, Jo Ann Rogers of Mesquite, Brenda Aguilar of Pecos, and Cheryl Trejo of Arlington; son, Randy Ramos of Dallas; brothers, Daniel Martinez of Marina, Calif., and Oscar Martinez of Victoria; sisters, Mary Lou Gamboa and Dora Vasquez, both of Odessa, Glroai Rodriguez of Carlsbad, N.M.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

SEMINOLE - Ethel Braden, 80, of Seminole, a homemaker, died Sunday, April 13, 2003, at Memorial Hospital in Seminole.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Gaines County cemetery with the Rev. Dan Dale officiating. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.
She was born in Oklahoma and moved to Seminole 13 years ago from Hobbs, N.M.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Martha Sue Alvidrez of New Mexico; sisters, Vesta Cox of Seminole and Beatrice Webb of New Mexico; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Lewey Brents
CRANE - Lewey Brents, 71, of Crane, a retired fishing tools operator, died Saturday, April 12, 2003, at Crane Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Hester officiating. Burial will be at Crane County cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
He was born in Christeen. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Kenneth “Butch” Brents of Crane and Steve Lewey Brents of Kingsland; daughters, Dale McDougal of Bandera and Jeannie Sue Huston of Kingsland; mother, Bessie Brents of Crane; brother, Jerry Mac Brents of Sheridan, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

ANDREWS - Tommie Longshore, 51, of Andrews died Friday, April 13, 2003, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Andrews North cemetery with the Rev. Kerry Tilley officiating. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
She was born in Odessa and moved to Andrews in 1977.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Billy Longshore of Andrews; son, Mike Henry of Midland; daughter, Amy Henry of Lubbock; father, Thomas Booth of Lovington, N.M.; brother, James Booth of Odessa; sisters, Rhonda Rogers of Odessa and Donna Stanco of Midland; and four grandchildren.

He was born in Mexia. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
