Pamela Joyce Crisp
LUBBOCK — Pamela Joyce Darrough Crisp, 50, of Lubbock, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2003, at MCA Hospital in Lubbock after a valiant battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held at First United Pentecostal Church in Wolfforth, at 12 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2003.
She was born in San Diego, California, grew up in Odessa, Texas, and had lived in Lubbock for the past thirty years. Pam was a great lover of animals. She raised horses and adopted numerous animals of all kinds. Pam’s vibrant personality and love of life will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Pam is survived by husband, Larry Webb of Lubbock; son, Allen Crisp of Minnesota; daughter, Angela Crisp of Dallas; grandson, Aaron Crisp of Odessa; brother, Vic Darrough of Dallas; cousin, Ronnie Lang of Lubbock; and more friends and admirers than we have room to list.

Trever Lightfoot
ANDREWS — Services for Trever Lightfoot, 20, of Scottsdale, Ariz., formerly of Midland, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2003, in McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews. Rev. Ted Short will officiate. Burial will follow in the Andrews North cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Trever died in Andrews on June 9, 2003. He was born on Aaugust 19, 1982, in Andrews. Trever graduated from Andrews High School. He was a Plumber and a Baptist.
Survivors include his parents, Larry and Bertha Lightfoot, Midland, Texas; companion, Sarah Saplis passed away in the same auto accident with Trever; daughter, Koralyn Saplis Lightfoot of Scottsdale, Ariz.; brothers, Charlie Lightfoot of Midland, Jody and wife, Carolyn Buck, of Round Rock, Texas, Rodney and wife, Paige Buck, of Grapevine, Texas; sisters, Tanya and husband, Staven Day, of Keller, Texas, Shannon Lightfoot, Sherry Lightfoot and Shelly Lightfoot, all of Waynesboro, Miss.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to NBA Bank in Andrews where a fund has been set up for his one year old daughter, Koralyn Saplis.

Jonathan “Bubba” Viscaino
ODESSA — On Saturday, June 7, 2003, our beloved “Bubbaloo,” 12, died in Andrews, Texas. He was born on April 7, 1991, in Odessa, Texas.
“Bubba” was dearly loved and cherished by all those around him. His enormous heart and infectious smile captivated anyone who met him. Always friendly and charming, he was the first to volunteer to help anyone who needed it.
He loved playing video games and hanging out with his friends and family.
Jonathan was an extremely smart young man. Throughout his school years, he received numerous awards for academic achievement including “A” Honor Roll, The President’s Award of Excellence and Accelerated Reading.
He will be missed and loved for eternity.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, LoLo Molina of McCamey. He is survived by his mother, Sylvia Viscaino; stepdad, Jose Zabata; sister, Eva Chacon; brother, June Viscaino; sister-in-law, Edith Viscaino; nephews, Karina and Luis Chacon and Isaac Rey Viscaino; aunts and uncles, Rosa Barragan, Esther Gonzales, Gilbert Barragan Sr., Raul Rodriguez Sr. and Sammy Molina of California; grandmother, Eva Molina; cousins, Raul Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez, Amy Barragan, Gilbert Barragan Jr., Melissa Bulorra Barragan, Jennifer Gonzalez, Roddy Cabrerra, Renee Cabrerra, Olga Molina, Austyn Renteria, Rebekah Renteria, Gabriel Rey Renteria and Sonya Calderon; and best friends, Irwin and family, Crystal, Lance, Larry, Tommy, Johnny, Christa, Victor Walker and others.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2003, at the Apostolic Church on 25th and Adams in Odessa with Angel Alvarado officiating. Visitation will continue through Wednesday all day at the church.

Elsie Mae ‘Betty’ Conway
ODESSA — Elsie Mae “Betty” Conway of Odessa died Wednesday, May 14, 2003, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born May 1, 1925, in Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2003, at Tanglewood Church of Christ with Lynn Money officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Conway married Max Conway March 3, 1947, in Matador, Texas. Before she retired, she had been employed as a cashier at a Safeway Grocery Store. She was a member of Tanglewood Church of Christ.
Mrs. Conway is survived by her husband, Max Conway of Odessa; sons, Larry Conway of Nairobi, Kenya, and David Conway of Austin; sisters, Mozell Hughey of Keller and Faynell Slaughter of Big Spring; grandchildren, Patrick Conway of Lubbock, Andrew and Micah Conway of Kenya.
Arrangements entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Billie Marie Curtis
ODESSA — Billie Marie Curtis, 52, of Odessa passed away, May 15, 2003, at Midland Memorial Hospital. A visitation to receive friends will be Friday, May 16, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 17, 2003, at University Parks Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Hull officiating.
She was born May 9, 1951, in Wichita Falls, to Walker and Margaret Tindol. She married Richard Curtis on October 17, 1970, in Odessa. Her favorite pastime was taking care her family and crafts.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Curtis; daughter, Missy Shepherd and husband, Otis; sons, C.B. Curtis, Michael Curtis, all of Midland; brothers, Carl Tindol of Odessa, Charles Tindol of Mobile, Ala., Jr. Tindol and Ricky Tindol, both of Odessa; sisters, Marylyn Grantham and husband, Casey, of Willis; Sandra Sweeden of Odessa; grandchildren, Rebecca, Avery and Shae Shepherd.
Active pallbearers include Sam and Casey Grantham, Randy Perry, Gordon and James Tindol, and Ronnie Martin, and honorary pallbearers are Ricky and Thomas Tindol, and Benny Sweeden.
Arrangements are entrusted to Sunset Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.

Erminia Aleman
ODESSA — Erminia Aleman passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2003, at her residence at the age of 68 years. She was Catholic and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was born March 24, 1935, in Big Sping, Texas, to father, Ruperto Chavez, who preceded her in death. Erminia was a food worker for ECISD in Odessa.
Rosary was said at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2003, at Martinez Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2003, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery.
Survivors include her mother, Dolores Valdespino of Big Spring; son, Jimmy Aleman of Odessa; two daughters, Celia A. Sturgeon and Elizabeth A. Salinas, both of Odessa; one brother, Andrew Chavez of Big Spring, Texas; four sisters, Beatrice C. Franco of Big Spring, Celia C. Larez of Pine Bluff, Wyo., Gloria C. Rodriguez of Odessa and Ema C. Sanchez of San Antonio; and 10 grandchildren.
Services under the direction of Martinez Funeral Home.

Billy Ray Hart
FORT WORTH — Billy Ray Hart, 78, went home to be with his Lord Wednesday, July 9, 2003, in Fort Worth, leaving behind his wife of 57 years.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at River Oaks Baptist Church, 1515 Long Ave., River Oaks, 76114, with Pastor Jim Lemons officiating.
Billy Ray was born March 6, 1925, in Sweetwater, Texas. He served in the United States military retiring after 20 years of service as a recruiting officer for the Air Force. He was a member of the River Oaks Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Hart; sons, Ronny Hart of Colorado Springs, Colo., Donny Hart of River Oaks and David Hart of Fort Worth; daughter, Tammy George of Azle; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sister, Doris Tomlin of Odessa.
Services entrusted to Greenwood Funeral Home.

Brian Pool
ODESSA — Funeral services for Brian Christopher Pool, age 29, of San Antonio, are scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2003, at Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Weymouth officiating. Burial will be in Monahans Memorial Park.
He passed away in San Antonio on Tuesday, July 8, 2003.
Mr. Pool was born November 15, 1973, in Dallas, Texas. He was a student at San Antonio College. He was a member of Parker Heights Christian Church.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Lina and Larry Murray of Odessa; his father and stepmother, Ben and Lenora Pool of Sonora; his sister, Rachael Pool of Odessa; his step grandfather, Ed Murray of Odessa; and step grandmother, Irma Luckie of San Angelo. He is also survived by four stepbrothers, Shannon Rushing, Trey Rushing, Levi Pool and Jason Murray; and a stepsister, Candice Joyner.
Funeral services are entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

LaWanda Mercer Gourley
ODESSA — LaWanda Mercer Gourley, 76, of Odessa, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 2, 2003, at Hospice House in Odessa. She was surrounded by friends and family who loved her dearly.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2003, at Belmont Baptist Church in Odessa with Rev. Terry Wright officiating and Rev. Bryan Saffle assisting. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland.
LaWanda was born December 31, 1926, to Add and Maude Mercer in Ross, Okla. She married J. Von Gourley on October 31, 1945, in Ada, Okla. She was preceded in death by her husband; her son, Royce Gourley; and six brothers and sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Sheri Hoskinson and husband, Jerry, of Odessa and Carla Presley and husband, Daryl, of San Angelo; daughter-in-law, Lisa Gourley-Welch and husband, Don, of Arlington; sisters, Wylma Madden and husband, Bill, of Odessa; Alma Mullinax of Altus, Okla., and Ona Mae Hallmark of Sweetwater; brothers, Aubrey Mercer and wife, Estella, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Joe Mercer and wife, Shirley, of Fort Worth; granddaughter, Christi Burkle and husband, Rich, of Plano; eight great-grandchildren; and many precious friends.
J. Von and LaWanda moved to Odessa from Inglewood, Calif., in 1949. She was an active member of Belmont Baptist Church in Odessa. She worked part-time at J.C. Penney and enjoyed working as an election judge for Ector County. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Chris Gourley, Casey Gourley, Bill Peacock, Zachary Hoskinson, Clint Gourley and Royce Peacock.
Memorials may be made to Hospice House, 903 N. Sam Houston, Odessa, TX 79761 or to Belmont Baptist Church, 801 N. Belmont, Odessa, TX 79763.

Dorothy Marie Green
ODESSA — Funeral services for Dorothy Marie Green will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2003, at the Grace Temple Baptist Church in Kermit, Texas, with burial at the Kermit cemetery. The Rev. Mike Bartlett will officiate. Viewing of Mrs. Green will be at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors in Odessa. She went to be with Jesus and all her loved ones on Sunday, August 3, 2003, in Lubbock.
Pallbearers will be Ben Vincent, Amy Vincent, Michael Green, Brian Green, Kevin Vaughan and Eric Green.
Dorothy was born on December 6, 1920, in Baltimore, Maryland. She married Lomer Davis Green on October 6, 1943, in Midland. Dorothy was a pastor’s wife who touched the lives and hearts of many people. Their ministry was spread throughout West Texas and Louisiana. She was truly as called to the ministry as her husband, Lomer, was.
Dorothy’s life was a life of service and she never had idle hands. Whether it was taking food to her neighbors who were elderly or shut-in or her involvement in mission projects, she always put others first. She was heavily involved in her church life where she taught Sunday School, took care of the nursery and was always active in the Women’s Missionary Union. She loved the Lord and inspired his goodness and mercy in others. She was always caring for others and was devoted to her husband and family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, two brothers, a nephew and a grandson. She is survived by her husband, Lomer of Odessa; son and daughter-in-law, L.D. Jr. and Brenda Green of Odessa, and son, Fred of Longview; daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Philip Vaughn of Lubbock and daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Clyde Vincent of CenterPoint; a brother, Joe Welzel of Collinsville, Ala.; and eight grandchildren.

Elizabeth Ann Collins
ODESSA — Elizabeth Ann Collins, 62, a housewife, of Odessa, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2003, at her residence. She was born in New Mexico on March 19, 1941.
She was Baptist. She loved her children and grandchildren. She had been a resident of Odessa since 1961. She was an airline stewardess.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Chapa Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2003, at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Chaplain Robert O. Hinojos officiating.
She was preceded in death by both parents, Leonard and Betty Presley, and daughter, Nicole Len Collins.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Collins of Odessa, Texas; sons, Shawn Collins of Mesquite, Texas, and Jade Collins of Odessa, Texas; daughter, Devra Gore and husband, Tim, of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren, Darian Gore, Danielle Gore and Timmy Gore, all of San Antonio, Texas; and many other relatives and friends.
Services entrusted to Chapa Funeral Home.
