Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Resthaven cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of McCamey.
She was born in Presidio and lived in McCamey for 68 years. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Claudio Baiza of McCamey; sons, Israel Baiza Sr., Lionel Baiza and Joel Baiza, all of McCamey; daughter, Diana Sanchez of Fort Stockton; brothers, Joe T. Barranday Jr. and E.T. Barranday, both of McCamey; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

PECOS - Cecilia 'Ceci' Carrasco, 27, of Pecos, a homemaker, died Monday, July 21, 2003, in Sierra Blanca.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at Santa Rosa Catholic Church. Burial will be at Mount Evergreen. Arrangements are by Peaceful Garden Funeral Home of Pecos.
She was born in El Paso and was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Jose Rodolfo 'Rudy' Carrasco of Pecos; daughter, Bethany Carrasco of Pecos; and parents, Rufino and Gloria Santana of San Elizario.

PECOS - Jacob Carrasco, 2, of Pecos died Monday, July 21, 2003, in Sierra Blanca.

He was born in Monahans and was Catholic.

PECOS - Bowie Davis, 87, of Pecos, a salesman, died Wednesday, July 23, 2003, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mount Evergreen cemetery with
Jay McCormick officiating. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.
He was born in Pecos. He was a veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Novella Davis of Pecos; son, Jeff Davis of Odessa; daughters, Sugar Acker and Donna Hill, both of Pecos, and Patsy Pane of San Antonio; brother, Jay Davis of Pecos; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

PECOS — Manuel Avila, 82, of Barstow, a laborer, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2003, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church with the Rev. Ben Flores officiating. Burial will be at the Barstow cemetery. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
He was born in Barstow. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Son, Manuel Avila Jr. of Dallas; daughters, Tina Guerrero and Rosa Avila, both of Odessa, Mary Skelton of Portales, N.M., Eloisa Gomez of Pecos, Becky Gonzales of New Orleans, Estella Guerra and Teressa Guerrero, both of Barstow, and Elva Bahm, Pat Quezada and Leslie Sanchez, all of Victoria; brothers, Luis Avila of Barstow and Jesus Avila of Andrews; 31 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Edwin William “Buck” Bedrick Sr., 79, of Odessa, a retired plant superintendent for Mobil Oil Co., died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2003, at the Hospice House.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Woodruff officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Denton County. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Dolores Bedrick of Odessa; sons, Eddie Bedrick, Phillip Bedrick and Steve Bedrick, all of Odessa, and Tommy Bedrick of Springtown; daughters, Fran Brunkenhoefer of Santa Fe, Texas, and Pam Mullins of Jarrell; brother, Gene Bedrick of Cartwright, Okla.; sister, Helen Arnold of Whitesboro; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Agnes Scott Duckering, 89, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., former owner of the Scott, Rio, Twin Terrace & Plains theaters, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003, in Murfreesboro.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Odessa cemetery. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was a longtime resident of Odessa. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: Sons, John Duckering of Odessa and Don Duckering of Atlanta; daughter, Lura Holt of Albuquerque, N.M.; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
