ODESSA -- Shadon Rene Diaz, infant daughter of Mike and Tabatha Diaz of Odessa, died Thursday, March 12, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

SURVIVORS: Parents; brother, Michael Diaz of Odessa; and sister, Brittney Beck of Odessa.

Chyrel Gardner

MONAHANS -- Chyrel Ruth Gardner, 58, an office manager, of Monahans, died Wednesday, March 11, 1998, at her residence.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Harkey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.

She was a lifetime resident of Monahans. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Sons, James Kent Newby of Duncan, Okla., Weston Ward Gardner of Odessa, William "BillNichols of Greenville and Joe Dan Nichols of Monahans; daughter, Trish Gardner of Odessa; grandparent, Ethel Ingham of Monahans; and one grandchild.

Antonio Hernandez

KERMIT -- Antonio Garcia Hernandez III, infant son of Tony and Briza Hernandez Jr., died Wednesday, March 11, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Ralph Barranger officiating. Burial will be at Kermit cemetery.

SURVIVORS: Parents; sisters, Heather Hernandez and Mariah Hernandez, both of Kermit; grandparents, Antonio and Essie Hernandez of Kermit, Manuel and Josephina Navarrette of Kermit; great-grandparents, Clementa Marquez and Eulojia Hernandez, both of Kermit.

Donna Jones

MIDLAND -- Donna Beth Jones, 55, of Greenwood, died March 11, 1998.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Greenwood Church of Christ with Eli Borden officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Pyron cemetery in Scurry County. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.

She was born in Roscoe and was a longtime resident of Midland County. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Son, Joe Todd Jones of Dallas; daughter, Tasha-Ni Jones of Midland; sister, Ann Borland Wall of Midland; brothers, Roy Borland, Galston, NSW, Australia, and R. Mike Borland of Midland; and two grandchildren.

Donna Murphree

MIDLAND -- Donna Murphree, 60, activities director for Terrace West Nursing Home, of Midland, died Wednesday, March 11, 1998, in Midland.

Memoral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donald Hafeman officiating. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.

She was born in Hobbs, N.M., and moved to Midland in 1984.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Dixie Murphree of Midland; sons, Tim Bowden of Midland and Tony Bowden of Walnut Creek, Calif.; daughters, Nancy Doss of Angelton and Gina Tischler of Midland; brother, Perry Province of Alexandria, Va.; sister, Beulah Debuque of West Branch, Mich.; four stepchildren; and four grandchildren.

Jerry White

MIDLAND -- Jerry Lee White, 40, an employee of Mobil Oil Co., of Midland, died Tuesday, March 10, 1998, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center in Midland.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Hadley R. Edwards officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements by Pipkin Funeral Home.

He was born in McCamey and was a longtime resident of Midland.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Patricia White of Midland; sons, Terry White and Gary White, both of Midland; daughter, Marcia White of Midland; mother, R.T. White of Midland; brothers, W. Charles White and James T. White, both of Midland, Larry L. White of Odessa and Donald Wayne White of Beaumont; and sisters, Clara Carter of Dallas, Diane Woods and Becky White, both of Midland.

Frances Morris

ODESSA -- Frances Mae Morris, 72, of Odessa, died Thursday, March 12, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Funeral services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

David Spence

ODESSA -- David Spence, 87, of Odessa, died Thursday, March 12, 1998, at St. Mary's Hospital in Lubbock.

Funeral services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.

J.D. Buckley

CRANE -- J.D. Buckley, 79, of Crane, a retired oilfield driller, died Monday, March 9, 1998, at Crane Memorial Hospital.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. David Miracle officiating. Burial will be at Crane County cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.

He was born in Hasse, and had been a resident of Crane since 1955. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Lenora Pritschow of Plano and Ramona Powell of Blue Eye, Mo.; step-sons, Stanley James and Jimmy Clayton James, both of Sonora; step-daughters, Judy Jones of Carlsbad, N.M., and Linda Wallace of Sonora; sisters, Hazel Wisdom, Virgie Dennis and Irene Harrison, all of Gorman, Corinne Waldon of Clyde and Nelda Towery of Prinston, Ken.; 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Don Carroll

ODESSA -- Don R. Carroll, 52, of Odessa, a minister for Eisenhower Church of Christ, died Monday, March 9, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Eisenhower Church of Christ. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

He was born in El Paso and had lived in Odessa since 1979.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Jeanette Southern Carroll of Odessa; sons, Don Roger Carroll Jr. of Amarillo, Christopher Michael Carroll of Odessa and Marcus Todd Carroll of Abilene; parents, Darwin Redwine and Ella Sadie Carroll of El Paso; brother, John Woodrome Carroll of Odessa; and sister, Kathy Kay Carroll of Parkersburg, W.V.

Micaela Gonzales

ODESSA -- Micaela Gonzales, 64, of Watsonville, Calif., a homemaker, died Friday, March 6, 1998, at Community Hospital in Watsonville, Calif.

Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Luis Cepeda officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

She was born in Balmorhea and moved to Odessa in 1967. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Dulces Gonzales of Watsonville, Calif.; sons, Carlos Gonzales, Benito Gonzales, Samuel Gonzales and Gonzalo Gonzales, all of Watsonville, Calif.; daughters, Elma Castillo of Watsonville, Calif., and Nancy Castillo of Odessa; brothers, Ricardo Castillo, Roberto Castillo and Julian Castillo, all of Odessa; sister, Ramona Gomez of Midland; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Myrl Norman

ODESSA -- Myrl Guy Norman, 83, of Odessa, a retired custodian, died Sunday, March 8, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Eisenhower Church of Christ. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Hopkins County. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Ruth J. Norman of Odessa; son, Mark D. Norman of Austin; daughters, Peggy Price of Sulphur Springs and Myrna Rose of Garland; brothers, Carol Norman of Union, Ore., Glen Norman of Fredericksburg and Harold Norman of Odessa; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
