Annie Duvall

FORT WORTH -- Annie I. Duvall, 75, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Monday, June 1, 1998, in Arlington.

Services were held June 4, 1998, at Greenwood Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Sixth and Jackson Church of Christ in Odessa. Burial was in Greenwood Memorial Park. Arrangements by Greenwood Funeral Home.

She was born in Ranger. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors: Husband, Lawrence H. "Larry" Duvall Jr. of Odessa; daughter, Laura Holland of Arlington; sisters, Alline Webb, Billie Webb and Tully Russell, all of Odessa; and one grandchild.

Cecil Edwards

ODESSA -- Cecil Howard Edwards, 62, of Odessa, owner of Edwards Body Shop, died Sunday, June 7, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Wayne Ziegler officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Abilene.

Survivors: Wife, Blanche Edwards of Odessa; sons, Tommy Edwards and Steven Edwards, both of Odessa; daughters, Susan Percifield of Odessa, Cynthia Light of Monahans; brothers, Alfred Edwards of Odessa, Guy Edwards Jr. of Roanoke, Va.; sisters, Faye Edwards of Odessa, Virginia Tandy of Amarillo; and 11 grandchildren.

Eddie Houston

ODESSA -- Eddie Charles Houston, 29, of Odessa, an oilfield roughneck, died Thursday, June 4, 1998, at his residence.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. today at the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with the Rev. James P. Bridges officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

He was born in Artesia, N.M., and moved to Odessa in 1991 from Midland.

Survivors: Wife, Sherri Houston of Odessa; daughters, Courtney McAlister and Tabitha McCalister, both of Lubbock; parents, Terry and Sandy Houston of Midland; brother, David Houston of Cypress; and grandparents, Bernilda Houston of Artesia, N.M., Beatrice Hegwer of Albuquerque, N.M.

Stella Rogers

ANDREWS -- Stella Mae Rogers, 48, of Andrews, an employee of Bealls Department Store, died Saturday, June 6, 1998, at Permian General Hospital.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Henson officiating. Burial will be at Andrews Old cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.

She was born in Odessa and moved to Andrews in 1965. She was a Baptist.

Survivors: Son, Andrew Glenn Rogers Jr. of Andrews; sisters, Sindy Vodron of New Braunfels, Kathrine Ruth Cagle of Lake Whitney, Martha Williams of Midland; brothers, Robert Sears of Fort Worth, Larry Sears and Jerry Sears, both of Andrews, Johnny Rogers of Arkansas, Steve Rogers of Lamesa, Wesley Rogers and Lesley Rogers, both of Dallas.

Felisitas Arista

BIG SPRING -- Felisitas Gonzales Arista, 75, of Big Spring, retired owner of Fela's Handy Korner, died Saturday, June 6, 1998, at her residence.

Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Cornelius Scanlan officiating. Burial will be at Mount Olive Memorial Park. Arrangements by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.

She was born in Comanche and was a long-time resident of Big Spring. She was Catholic.

Survivors: Daughters, Rosie Miramontes and Margaret Sanchez, both of Odessa, Yolanda Renteria and Alicia Porras, both of Big Spring; son, Tom C. Arista Jr. of Big Spring; sisters, Rosita Holguin and Avelina Diaz, both of Odessa; brothers, Louis P. Gonzales of Austin, Jesse P. Gonzales of San Antonio, Carlos P. Gonzales of Dallas, Leonard P. Gonzales of Grand Prairie, Richard P. Gonzales of Arlington; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Reymundo Bernard

MIDLAND -- Reymundo Bernard, 79, of Midland, a retired employee of Midland Independent School District, died Friday, June 5, 1998, in a Midland hospital.

Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Monday at Ellis Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Art Flores officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.

He was born in Midland. He was Catholic.

Survivors: Wife, Susie Torres Bernard of Midland; sons, Robert Bernard of Odessa, Henry Bernard of Midland, Raymond Bernard of Carlsbad, N.M., Billy Jo Bernard and Edward Bernard, both of Midland; brother, Joe Bernard of Midland; sisters, Carolina Hernandez and Gloria Martinez, both of Midland; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Charlie Daniels

ODESSA -- Charlie Max Daniels, 82, of Odessa, a retired welder, died Thursday, June 4, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. W.R. Daniels officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Fayette County and moved to Odessa in 1952 from Luling. He was Baptist.

Survivors: Daughter, Geraldine Sue Glass of Odessa; son, Charlie Max Daniels Jr. of Odessa; brother, Richard Daniels of Luling; sisters, Irene O'Riley of Lockhart, Lorene Toungate of Austin, Alienn Warner of Round Rock; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Faye Hubbard

CRANE -- Faye Clara Hubbard, 91, of Arizona, died Saturday, May 23, 1998, in Arizona.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Dorothea Street Church of Christ with Ric Allen officiating.

She was born in New Boston.

Survivors: Robert Earl Hubbard of Arizona; sisters, Grace Satterfield of Midland, Lillian Ashley of Snyder; and five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Eva Rangel

CRANE -- Eva Ruth Rangel, 72, of Lamesa, a homemaker, died Friday, June 5, 1998, in Lamesa.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Vaughn Ross officiating. Burial will be at Crane County cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Homes.

She was born in Kemp, Okla., and had been a resident of Lamesa for 15 years. She was Baptist.

Survivors: Daughter, Jo Ann Hagler of Crane; son, Earl D. Bonner Jr. of Cathlamet, Wash.; brother, Billy Richardson of Paducah; sister, Mary Henderson of Floydada; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Armando Sotelo

ODESSA -- Armando Garcia Sotelo, 48, of Odessa, a retired driller in the oilfield, died Friday, June 5, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Martinez Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

He was born in Del Rio and had been a resident of Odessa for 20 years after moving from Monahans.

Survivors: Wife, Martha Sotelo of Odessa; father, Ricardo M. Sotelo of Odessa; sons, Robert Joe Sotelo of Norfolk, Va., Michael Allan Sotelo, Armando Heredia, Afrian Adonis Sotelo and Adam Sotelo, all of Odessa; daughters, Myra Ann Sotelo of Kenai, Ark., Josie Ramirez and Melissa Ann Marichalar, both of Odessa; brothers, Fernando G. Sotelo of Monahans, Rodolfo G. Sotelo and George G. Sotelo, both of Odessa; sisters, Diane S. Heredio of Monahans, Mary Ann Harris of Odessa; and 12 grandchildren.

Goldie Umfress

MIDLAND -- Goldie Mae Umfress, 71, died Saturday, June 6, 1998, at a local hospital.

Services are pending with Thomas Funeral Home.
