Denver City - Gerald Wayne Aulds, 65, of Andrews, owner of Coast to Coast in Andrews, died Monday, March 28, 2005, at his residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Church of the Nazarene with Revs. Jonathan Humbert and Harold Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Denver City Memorial cemetery. Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home in Andrews.
He was born in Commerce. He was a member of Church of the Nazarene in Denver City.
Survivors Wife, Marie Aulds of Andrews; sons, Chris Aulds and Brent Aulds, both of Lubbock, and Jerry Aulds of Andrews; brother, Bill Aulds of Corsicana; sister, Beverly Martin of Odessa; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Johnnie Edwards
Andrews - Johnnie Edwards, 89, of Andrews, a homemaker, died Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at Permian Residential Care Center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with James Beard and Morris Courville officiating. Burial will be at Andrews Old cemetery. Arrangements are by McNett Funeral Home of Andrews.
She was born in Goldthwaite. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors Laverne and Louie Bell of Andrews.

Carmen Maldonado Fuentez
Sanderson - Carmen Maldonado Fuentez, 68, of Sanderson, died Tuesday, March 28, 2005, in Sanderson.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at St. James Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Floro Hinacay officiating. Burial will be at Santa Rita cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home of Fort Stockton.
She was born in Sanderson.
Survivors Sons, Orlando Luiz Fuentez and Alejandro Ray Castro, both of Sanders, and Johnny Lopez of Washington; daughters, Marisa E. Martinez of Amarillo, and Belinda Cruz of Elizabethtown, Ky.; brothers, Jose Fuentes, Arturo Fuentes and Francisco Fuentes, all of Sanderson; and Enrique Fuentes and Alberto Fuentez Jr., both of Fort Stockton; sisters, Octavia Rodriguez and Amelia Sanchez, both of Sanderson, and Rita Gonzales of Fort Stockton; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren,

Odessa - Alvern Jones, 60, of Odessa, died Thursday, March 24, 2005, at Medical Center Hospital.
She was born in Kerens.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Agape Ministries Dream Center with the Rev. Jimmy Dennis officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements are by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born in Maysfield. She was a member of the Andrews Church of Christ.
Survivors Husband, Tommy J. Jones of Odessa; sons, Tommy J. Jones Jr., and Travorak Jones, both of Odessa; daughters, Deborah Smith, Cheryl Torres, Sherita LeShaw and Temetra Mitchell, all of Odessa; brother, Jimmy Soders of Fort Worth; sisters, Pearlie Mae Harris of Odessa, Linda Ingram of Cleburne and Margaret Modester of Kerens; and nine grandchildren.

Lucille Margurite Taylor
Odessa - Lucille Margurite Taylor, 91, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Saturday, March 26, 2005, at the Hospice House.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Waco. She was a member of Rose Of Sharon Baptist Church.
Survivors Son-in-law, James Thomas of Waco; and several grandchildren.

Antone Washington Jr.
Marlin - Antone Washington Jr., 82, of Andrews, died Thursday, March 24, 2005, at the VA Hospital in Big Spring.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bernard Street Church of Christ. Burial will be at Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements are by Paul Funeral Home of Marlin.
He was born in Maysfield. He was a member of Andrews Church of Christ.
Survivors Sons, Arthur Lee Bryant of Portland, Ore., and Roy Paul Washington of Sacramento, Calif.; daughter, Eula Washington Womack of Dallas; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Laurisa Christine O’Bryant Cash
IRAAN - Laurisa Christine O’Bryant Cash passed away Monday, June 27, 2005, at the Odessa Medical Center Hospital.
Mrs. Cash was born Jan. 4, 1922, in Juno, Texas. Mrs. Cash was the youngest of five children born to Oscar and Louise O’Bryant.
Laurisa lived on ranches in the Juno and Langtry areas until her marriage to J.W. Cash in 1938 in Del Rio. The couple moved to the Tippett Ranch Headquarters shortly after their marriage. They ranched until 1954 when they moved to Iraan.
Laurisa assisted J.W. with Cash Construction Company until 1962 when they sold the company. She then continued to help with his welding business until J.W.’s illness forced them to retire.
Laurisa was a faithful member of the Iraan First Baptist Church. She was active in her Sunday School Class whose members she felt were like sisters, and from whom she received comfort and strength through her long illness.
Laurisa was preceded in death by her two brothers, her father and mother, her husband J.W. Cash, her grandson, Blaine Coldwell, and her daughter, Donna Faye Bailey.
She is survived by her son, Duane Cash of Iraan; her sister Mayberry Cummins of San Saba; her brother Raymond O’Bryant of Del Rio; and six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 30, 2005, at the Shaffer-Nichols Chapel in Iraan.
Funeral Service will be conducted by Pastor Mike Wright and Ted Sellers on Friday, July 1, 2005, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Iraan.
Pallbearers will be grandson, Joel Cash, grandson-in-law Terry Lee, Nephew Joe Cummins, Ted Sellers, Robert Sides and James Kent.
Memorial can be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.

Bessie Lee Martin
Odessa - Bessie Lee Martin passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2005, with her devoted husband Elmer by her side.
She was born on July 29, 1921, to Eura and Owen Lynn in Bronte. She married Elvin Stump Dec. 2, 1938, to Feb. 9, 1971. She married Elmer Martin on May 4, 1974. She was raised on the family farm and attended schools in DeLeon. She worked for Bill Sears and Murphy’s for several years. She enjoyed the horse races.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elvin Stump; and son, Kenneth Lee Stump; and brother, Bill Lynn.
She is survived by her husband, Elmer Martin of Odessa; son, William Stump and wife, Joyce, of Gillette, Wyo.; daughters, Willine Willis and husband, Bert, of Lake O’ the Pines, Patricia Seabourn and husband, Arnold, and Betty Lovingood and husband, Raymond, both of Odessa, and LaNell Mathews and Kathy Stump, both of Lake O’ the Pines; stepsons, Dewey Martin and wife, Stella, of Von Ormy, and Kelly Martin and wife, Charro, of San Antonio; stepdaughter, Cassie Davidson and husband, Roger, of Loraine; brothers, Jim Lynn of Fort Worth, and P.A. Lynn of Anson; sister, Janeria Snedgar of Bangs; 23 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 1, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Roy Jones officiating.
Services are entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Eileen Locke
ODESSA - Eileen Locke, 65, of Odessa, died Monday, June 27, 2005, at her residence.
She was born March 5, 1940, in Bonham to William and Ruth Ball.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2005, in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with Terry Wright officiating.
Eileen married Kenneth Locke April 12, 1957, in Durant, Okla., they were married 48 years. Eileen was a homemaker and a member of Westover Baptist Church. She was a member of the Creative Memories Group. She was a Permian High School Booster and one year they dedicated the Booster magazine to her; she was a Odessa College baseball team Mom; and she supported local sports. She was also a member of the Howdy Pardner Chapter of American Business Women’s Association.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Locke of Odessa; sons, Kyle Locke and Jason Locke of Odessa; brother, Mark Ball of Trinidad; sisters, Mary Ball of McKinney and Peggy Henderson of Pottsboro; two grandchildren, Kelsi Locke and Bryce Locke of Odessa; and one great-grandchild, Dreyce Locke.
Memorials may be made to Westover Baptist Church Building Fund.
Services are entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Roy Lee Pagan
Jal, N.M. - Roy Lee Pagan was born on Feb. 12, 1928, in Merkel, Texas, to Henry and Elsie Pagan. He went to be with the Lord on June 27, 2005, in Midland, Texas, at the age of 77.
Funeral Services for Roy will be at 10 a.m. today, June 30, at the First Baptist Church of Jal, N.M., with the Rev. Randy Aly officiating. Burial will follow at Kermit cemetery in Kermit, Texas. Services have been entrusted to Calvary Funeral Home of Eunice.
In 1946, Roy graduated from Jal High School and then attended East Central State College in Ada, Okla., where he then met and married his wife, Jacqueline “Jackye” Richards, on Aug. 11, 1950. After his marriage, he moved back to Jal, where he retired as a dispatcher with El Paso Natural Gas Corp. after 33 years of service. Also while living in Jal, he was a member of the First Baptist Church, chairman of the senior citizen committee and a member of the Jal Country Club.
Roy is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Pagan of Jal, N.M., son, Rick Pagan and wife, Renee, of Albuquerque, N.M.; daughter, Judye Cadle and husband, Joe, of Stephenville; granddaughter, Jodi Cadle Campana and husband, Rafi, of Austin; grandsons, Jason Pagan and wife, Amanda, Brian Pagan and Jared Hamblin, all of Albuquerque, N.M., and Mark Cadle of Yuma, Ariz.; two great-grandchildren, Gabrielle and Alex Pagan, both of Albuquerque, N.M. Roy is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Charles Loyd Pagan.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice In-patient Unit at Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland, 2800 W. Illinois Ave., Midland, TX 79701.

James R. ‘Jim’ Siegel
Point Blank - James R. “Jim” Siegel, 72, of Point Blank, Texas, and formerly of Odessa, Texas, went to be with his heavenly Father on June 23, 2005, following a tragic automobile accident.
Jim was born on April 20, 1933, in St. Louis, Mo., to William A. and Ruth Albrecht Siegel. He was an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Shawnee Mission High School in 1951. He majored in art at the University of Washington.
Jim was in the construction industry for over 40 years in the Pasco, Kennewick area of Washington State. While there, Jim was involved in state politics and was a delegate to the Washington State Democratic Convention in 1976. He also volunteered with various nonprofit theater organizations.
In 1989, he married Peggy Ferguson Neal in Odessa, Texas. While in Odessa, he was on the board of directors of the Permian Playhouse and the President of the Stagehands Association. He was a member of the Lions Club and St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.
For the last 12 years, he and his wife have been involved in creating heirloom eggs in both Odessa and Point Blank. He has been active in the SanJacPac Organization for the last two years.
Jim was preceded in death by both of his parents; a brother, William A. Siegal Jr.; mother-in-law, Helen A. Ferguson; and a grandson, Baron.
Survivors include his wife; a sister, Bertha Jane “Berrie” Steed and husband, Oliver, of Valley Park, Mo.; sister-in-law, Ginnie Siegel of Emporia Kan.; brother, Jay Siegel of Poulsbo, Wash.; stepdaughters, Patti Kimberlin and husband, Keith, and Nancy Deel and husband, Mike, both of Odessa, and Becky Bullard and husband, Bill, of Denton; grandchildren, Jenna and Kaylyn Kimberlin and Darin and Aubrey Deel, all of Odessa, William, Scotland and Joe Bullard, all of Denton, and Jakob Bullard of Austin.
Jim will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Claire Brothers Funeral Home of Houston is in charge of the arrangements.
The family suggests that any memorials be directed to Coldspring United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1520, Coldspring, TX 77331, or to a charity of your choice.

Denise Pickett
Odessa - Denise Pickett, 67, of Odessa, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at Medical Center Hospital.
She was born Oct. 1, 1937, in Pueblo, Colo., to George and Ruth Williams. She married H. Frank Pickett March of 1965 in Pueblo, Colo. She was an attendance clerk for the Ector County Independent School District. She retired five years ago after 17 years of service. She was a member of Crescent Park Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, H. Frank Pickett of Odessa; son, Lance Pickett of Charlottesville, Va.; daughter, Robin Barr and husband, Raymond, of Keller; brother, George Williams Jr. of Pueblo, Colo.; and sister, Barbara Booth of Pueblo, Colo.
There will be a visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, June 30, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bob Bratcher officiating.
Services are entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Patricia Lujan Trejo
ODESSA - Patricia Lujan Trejo, born Nov. 4, 1958, in El Paso, passed away June 28, 2005 at the age of 46 of a longtime illness that she fought and struggled for the past 10 years.
She was a devoted grandma and loved them very, very much. She will be greatly missed by family, loved ones and close friends. She loved to paint and have close time at home with her little ones and loved to shop.
She left behind two daughters, Dena Marie Castillo and husband Ray of San Diego, Calif., and Jessica Lee Trejo and boyfriend David Alcantar of Odessa; one son Anthony Patrick Lujan and wife Yvonne of Odessa; grandchildren, Desenica Carrasco, Gabriela Carrasco, Brianna Alcantar, Deanna Castillo, Ashley Castillo, Christian Anthony Lujan, Elora Rene Lujan, and Julian Partick Lujan; mother Cruz Flores Lujan; brothers, Elmer Lujan and wife Olga of El Paso, Raul Lujan Jr. of Houston, Oscar Lujan of Odessa, and Fernando Lujan and wife Gloria of Monahans; sisters, Norma Lujan of Odessa, Ofelia Barrientes and husband Tony of Odessa, Rosa Hernandez of Odessa, Gloria Cruz and husband, Bruno, of Corpus Christi, and Bertha Lujan of Odessa, niece, Melissa “Missy” Lujan of El Paso, and numerous other nephews and nieces.
She joins in Heaven, her husband, Richard Trejo, her father, Raul Lujan, and her brother Sammy Lujan.
Visitation for Mrs. Trejo will be held today from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Martinez Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father Joe Uecker officiating. Interment will follow at RoseHill cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Elmer Lujan, Raul Lujan Jr., Oscar Lujan, Fernando Lujan, Isabel Orneles and Ryan Lujan.
The family would like to take this time to thank the entire staff at Star Care Hospice and all the staff at Hospice House. We really appreciate the care and the compassion you gave our mother. God bless you all.

Fort Stockton - Dominic Luciano Acosta, infant son of David and Nadia Acosta of San Antonio, died Monday, Aug. 8, 2005, in San Antonio.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fort Stockton with the Rev. Joey Faylona officiating.
Survivors Sister, Alena Acosta; grandparents, Fidel and JoAnn Acosta of San Antonio, and Robert and Yong Woodard of Big Spring, and Amparo and Nicolas Valenzuela of Pecos; and great-grandparents, Antonio Lasara Acosta of Fort Stockton, Tomasa Salgado of Pecos, and Han and Jong Gong of South Korea.

John Wesley ‘Jay’ Alvey
Marble Falls - John Wesley “Jay” Alvey, 87, of Horseshoe Bay, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2005, in Austin.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet. Arrangements are by Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home of Marble Falls.
