CROSS PLAINS - Ruby Geneva (Vaughan) Maxwell, 71, of Cross Plains, died Friday, Sept. 23, 2005, at her home.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at the Higginbotham Chapel with Jimmy Maples officiating, assisted by John Casey. Burial will follow at the Cross Cut cemetery.
She was born in Colorado City.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Rex Glendon Maxwell Sr.; son, Rex Glen Maxwell Jr.; daughter, Debra Lynn Childres, all of Cross Plains, four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Jesus Rubio
MONAHANS - Jesus Rubio, 78, of San Angelo and formerly of Monahans, an R.C. Cola Company employee, died Friday, Sept. 23, 2005, in San Angelo.
Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. today at St. John Catholic Church. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Catholic Church. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Arrangements are by Harkey Family Funeral Services.
He was born in Presidio.
Survivors Sons, Jesus Rubio of Odessa, Juan Rubio of Seminole, Robert Salcido of San Antonio and Mando Salcido of Las Vegas, Nev.; daughters, Diana Gonzales, Delma Rubio and Debra Rubio, all of San Angelo, Mary Ochoa and Juanita Martin, both of Visalia, Calif.; brothers, Roy Rubio and Herman Rubio, both of San Angelo; sisters, Alvesa Jara and Dolores Ortiz, both of Monahans, Nena Chavez of Kermit, Elva Martinez of Keller and Analda Mesa of San Angelo; 50 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

Bobby Brower Smith
ODESSA - Bobby Brower Smith, 74, of Odessa, an oilfield repairman, died Friday, Sept. 23, 2005, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Andrews cemetery with Brian Saffle officiating. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Alba. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Norma Jean Smith of Odessa; son, Daylan Smith of Odessa; daughter, Vicki Day of Azle; brothers, Fred Smith of Fort Worth and Bill Carrell of Waco; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Shirley Adams
ODESSA - Shirley Adams, 72, of Odessa, died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, at Hospice House in Odessa.
Services are pending with Odessa Funeral Home.

Monahans - Ray Anderson, 74, of Monahans, an oilfield/flight instructor, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005, in Meridian, Miss.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements are by Harkey Family Funeral Services.
He was born in Meridian and was an Army veteran.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Alan Anderson of Meridian, Miss., David Anderson of Victoria and Buddy Kimery of Tenn.; daughters, Mary Sanford of Splendora, Fayleen Perry of Tupelo, Miss., Linda Bustos of Odessa, Teresa Lake of Monahans, Nancy Lake of San Antonio and Pam Lake of Brownwood; sisters, Ilene Carroll and Fay Rutledge, both of Meridian, Miss.; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Hattie Mae Ball
ODESSA - Hattie Mae Ball, 90, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Monday, Sept. 19, 2005, at her residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors Chapel with Dale Garrison officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
She was born in Pyatt, Okla., and was a member of Crescent Park Church of Christ.
Survivors Daughters, Joyce Ward of Norman, Okla., and Frances Cunningham of Odessa; sister, Opal Looper; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

ODESSA - Jose L. Brito, 92, of Odessa, a retired rancher, died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005, at Mabee Health Care Center in Midland.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Josephs Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Miller officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Presidio and a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Ackerley cemetery with the Rev. Juan Gaona officiating. Arrangements are by Odessa Funeral Home.
He was a member of the Iglesia Bautista El Mesias Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
