ODESSA -- Hector Torres, 42, of Tijuana, Mexico, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Burial will be Friday in Tijuana, Mexico. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.

He was born in Mexico.

SURVIVORS: Parents, George and Ramona Torres of Tijuana, Mexico; brothers, Gilberto Torres of Odessa, Manuel Torres, Javier Torres, Raul Torres, Hernesto Torres and Luis Torres, all of Tijuana, Mexico; sisters, Martha Alicia Torres, Marelena Torres, Marisela Torres, Rosa Torres, all of Tijuana, Mexico.

Manuel Vejil

IMPERIAL -- Manuel E. Vejil, 74, of Imperial, a farmer, died Monday, Feb. 2, 1998, at his residence.

Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Thursday at Imperial Community Center. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday at Imperial Community Center with the Rev. Jim Cheaumont officiating. Burial will be at Imperial cemetery. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.

He was born in Buena Vista and was a lifelong resident of Imperial. He was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Brothers, Eusebio Vejil of Crane, Felipe Jesus Vejil of Kermit, Jose Manuel Vejil of Anthony, N.M., Gabriel Vejil of Long Beach, Calif.; step-brothers, Guillermo Galindo of Odessa and Ciriaco Galindo of Kermit.

Monroe Venable

SAN ANGELO -- Monroe F. Venable, 88, of San Angelo, a retired insurance agent, died Monday, Feb. 2, 1998, at a local hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m Thursday at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with the Rev. J. Earl Dunn officiating. Arrangements by Johnson's Funeral Home.

He was born in Mills County and had been a San Angelo resident since 1942. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Son, Darrell Venable of Odessa; daughters, Joyce Marlene Piel of Ballinger, Mona Rea Milller of Mereta; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mary Whittenburg

FORT STOCKTON -- Mary E. "Ella" Whittenburg, 85, of Fort Stockton, a homemaker, died Monday, Feb. 2, 1998, at Pecos County Memorial Hospital.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. today at the Church of Christ with Harold Durham officiating. Burial will be at East Hill cemetery.

Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.

She was born in Andrews and had lived in Fort Stockton since 1957. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Husband, H.S. "Speck" Fort Stockton; daughter, Mary Kay Wayman of Uvalde; sisters, Lousie Powell of Fort Stockton; Johnnye Coleman of Birmingham, Ala.; and two grandchildren.

Ruth Aiguier

LOVINGTON, N.M. -- Ruth E. Aiguier, 82, of Lovington, N.M., a homemaker, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 1998, at Lovington Good Samaritan.

Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Denton-Funchess Funeral Home.

She was born in Moore, Okla., and lived in Lovington four years.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Beverly Hayes of Lovington, N.M., and Donna Swanson of Kermit; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Maria Dominguez

KERMIT -- Maria Urias Dominguez, 72, of Kermit, a retired clothing presser, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998, at his residence.

Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Cooper Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Ralph Barranger officiating. Burial will be at Kermit cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Home.

She was born in Redford, and was a resident of Kermit for 51 years. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Carlos Dominguez Sr. of Kermit; sons, Carmen Dominguez and Carlos Dominguez Jr., both of Kermit; daughter, Gloria Galindo of Las Cruces, N.M.; brothers, Jesus Urias of Kermit, Bernabe Urias of Artesia, N.M.; sister, Celia Catano of Marfa; one grandchild; and six great-grandchildren.

Willie Moore

ODESSA -- Willie Lee "Bill" Moore, 91, of Odessa, a retired chief engineer for Arrow Drilling Company, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998, at Parks Methodist Retirement Village.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Scott Seymour officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Memphis, Tenn., and was Lutheran.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Beverly McColloch of Odessa, Barbara Maselli of La Selva Beach, Calif.; brother, Herman Moore of Tulsa, Okla.; sister, Martha Kimball of St. George, Utah; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Garland Nicholas

ODESSA -- Garland "Weaver" Nicholas, 77, of Odessa, a retired painter, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998, at his residence.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Emmett Barnard officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Abilene and was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Brothers, Burl Nicholas and Lester Nicholas, both of Odessa, Don Nicholas of Eastland; sister, Beth Mayhall of Abilene and Mary Scott of Cisco; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Magdalena Rosales

PECOS -- Magdalena Rosales, 81, of Pecos, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center in Midland.

Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with the Rev. Roberto Alvarado officiating. Burial will be at Mount Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

She was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, and had been a resident of Pecos since 1975. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Johnny Ibarra of Pecos, George Rosales of San Antonio, and Hiriam Rosales of Norwalk, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Drucilla Sousley

ODESSA -- Drucilla Gwen Sousley, 87, of Odessa, a retired beautician, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

She was born in May, Texas and was a resident of Odessa for 56 years.

SURVIVORS: Sister, Lucretia Wells of El Paso; four grandchildren; and eighth great-grandchildren.

Valentin Lujan

ODESSA -- Valentin Lujan, 59, of Odessa died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.

Funeral services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.
