Juana Perez Ceniceros
Odessa - Juana Perez Ceniceros, age 92 of Odessa, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2006 in Pflugerville with her family by her side. She was born on January 27, 1914 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Alcario and Francisca Perez.
She was preceded in death by her husband Andres Ceniceros, son, Andres Ceniceros, Jr., daughter, Erlinda Orosco, grandsons Luis and David Orosco, all of Odessa.
She is survived by two daughters, Consuelo Porras of Odessa, and Amparo Garza of Midland, sister, Dolores Perez of El Paso, and she had twenty-six grandchildren, fifty-three great-grandchildren and nineteen great-great-grandchildren. She also is survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
Juana gave a lot of love to her family, relatives and many friends. The family wishes to thank the excellent staff at St. David’s Medical Hospital of Austin and Hospice of Austin for all their wonderful staff and support.
Serving as pallbearers will be George Orosco, Jr., Jose Porras, Jr., Paul Garza, Johnny Ceniceros, Paul Porras, George Orosco, III, Micheal Garza Jr & William Smith, III.
There will be a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2006 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Timothy Guthridge as the celebrant. The interment will follow in the Rose Hill cemetery.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Lois Ann Johnson
Amarillo - Lois Ann Johnson, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2006 in Nevada. She was born Dec. 26, 1942, in Ida Grove, Iowa, and resided in Las Vegas for 16 years. Lois lived in several states, making friends everywhere she went and with people of all ages, races and economic groups. Lois loved life and living. She enjoyed traveling, reading, sewing, playing bingo and cross stitching. She fancied cats and kittens. She felt great joy from her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Lois was a dedicated professional who worked her way from a temporary secretary after high school into many leadership roles in Texas, Ohio and Nevada, including the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock and Odessa. She earned her bachelors degree in 1983. She always cared about people, especially the disadvantaged, working in Ohio for a children’s home and in her latest position for over 10 years as deputy director of the Nevada! Disability Advocacy and Law Center. She helped to better the quality of life for people with disabilities at both the state and national levels. Lois, someone whose spirit kept fighting when her body relented, a patient who beat odds with her uncommon determination and a person who raised spirits of others regardless of cancer and its harsh treatments. She was without question genuine, without question, real. The family will receive visitors at the church from 11:30 to 12:30 at the church prior to the service.
She is survived by her stepmother, Mary Thies; husband, Marty; sons, Tim and Troy; brothers, Don, Bob, Wayne, Dick, Mike and Gerry; daughters-in-law, Teresa and Diedra; and grand-children, Shayne, Dillon, Caleb, Savannah and Scarlett.
Funeral mass will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Celebrant will be Msgr. Joseph Tash. Burial will be at Llano cemetery.
Family requests memorial contributions be made to charities for cancer research. We miss you, Lois. You touched our lives forever.

Kamey Ashlin and Makaylee Jade Medrano
Odessa - In the Loving Arms of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ are to be found Our Beautiful Little Angels, Kamey Ashlin and Makaylee Jade Medrano. Kamey at her blessed age of 1, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday January 26, 2006, Makaylee at her blessed age of 3 was met at Our Heavenly Gates by Our Lord and Savior and her little sister January 29, 2006. Makaylee passed away at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas both passed away after a tragic accident. Makaylee was born October 6, 2002, and Kamey was born August 19, 2004 to Christopher and Nickki T. Medrano here in Odessa. Makaylee and Kamey are preceded in death by Grandfather: Gilberto Medrano, and both Paternal and Maternal Great- Grandparents: Manuela Lopez, Joaquin and Sara Vasquez. Both were Christian Catholics and a blessing to every one that knew them. They are survived by Parents: Christopher and Nickki Medrano of Odessa, Grandparents: Margarita Medrano of Ft. Worth, Gilberto and Blanca Acosta of Odessa, Sister: Annalyah Blanca Medrano of Odessa and Several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Lots of Friends. Public visitation wil be from 1PM to 9PM today, with a rosary to be recited at 7PM at Odessa Funeral Home, Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM Thursday February 2, 2006 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Reverend: Joseph Uecker officiating. Interment to be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens Babyland. We the Medrano family would like to take this time to extend, a Heartfelt embrace to each and everyone of you throughout the Community and the State, for all the wonderful blessings given upon us with your prayers,floral, food donations and especially, your presence with us during this most difficult time. Ronnie Lynn Reid
Fort Worth - Ronnie Lynn Reid, 50, lost his battle with liver cancer on Friday January 27, 2006.
Funeral: 2:00 pm Saturday February 4th at Fort Worth First Church of the Nazarene in Crowley. Visitation: 5pm. To 8pm. Friday; February 3rd at Guardian Funeral Home in Fort Worth.
Ronnie was born July 7, 1955 in Seminole, TX.
Ronnie married Denise Fisher on January 18, 1986 in Odessa, TX. They have 3 children.
Ronnie and his family have lived in Lubbock, Amarillo and Crowley where he was a computer repairman. He has been a member of Ft Worth First Church of the Nazarene since 1997.
Survivors: Wife, Carol Denise Reid, daughters Tasha and Nicole and son Cody. Mother Dorothy Reid of White Settlement. Sisters, Pam Hinson of Mansfield, Nancy Rosser of Corinth and Joyce Bird of White Settlement. and special family friend Albert Edwards. He was preceded in death by his brother Roger, and his father Edward Louis Reid.

James C. Plummer
July 12, 1919 – January 16, 2006
Burnet - On Monday, January 16, 2006, James C. Plummer (Jay) went home to be with his Lord and Savior. He passed away at his home in Burnet, Texas.
Jay is survived by his wife of 50 years, Novelean, daughter Sandy and husband Don Everett of Burnet, daughter Jamie and husband Ron Worley of Katy, grandson Josh and wife Stacy of Tomball, grandson (best buddy) Jay of Burnet, and two great-grandchildren (Mason & Emily). Also surviving are sister Kay and husband Pete Petros, and sisters-in-law Verb and Maxine Plummer, five nephews, and five nieces. In September 1974, Hazel and Roy Brown became part of the family. Then in January 1978, Ana, Monir, and Aaron Sadegh-Zadeh became family members. In December 1983, Mione Sadegh-Zadeh was added.
Preceding Jay in death were his parents, James C. and Addie Plummer, brothers Earl and Doyle Plummer, sister Elizabeth Thomas, and grandson Jack Everett.
In 1948, Jay moved to Odessa, TX and lived there until he and Novelean moved to Burnet, Texas, in July 2005.
On July 12, 1919, James C. Plummer was born on a farm in May, TX. On November 25, 1940, he mobilized with the Texas National Guard 36th Division and was in the U.S. Army. He trained in Camp Blanding, Florida, and Camp Edwards, Massachusetts, before being sent to North Africa to wait for the invasion of Europe. On September 9, 1943, as a member of the 142nd Infantry, Company A, Jay was a participant in the invasion of Salerno, Italy. That campaign went from Salerno to Naples and then to Rome, Italy. On August 15, 1944, the 36th went to Marseilles, France, and then on to the Vogues and the Rhineland.
Wounded on December 9, 1944, Jay was demobilized on December 15, 1944. He was one of the lucky ones who got to return home to Texas. He always remembered the boys who did not make it and always said that they never got old. His children and grandchildren heard about all the exploits he experienced during his time in the army.
For 31 years, Jay was an employee of the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in March 1978. He worked at the Ector County Coliseum for 38 years, making cotton candy and guarding doors. He also worked at the Ector County Fair. After his official retirement, Jay worked at Western National Bank for a number of years and then volunteered as a driver for Meals on Wheels. Hip surgery made his delivery days impossible. Jay had many friends, and everyone who knew him enjoyed his gift of gab. He never met a stranger and always welcomed a good conversation. A voracious reader, he enjoyed reading his whole life. After high school graduation, he continued his education by reading anything and everything he could get his hands on. He even put his National Geographic in chronological order so that he could read them in order.
Services for James C. Plummer will be held at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet, TX, at 10:00 AM Thursday (1/19/06), with burial at Bangs cemetery in Bangs, TX, at 3:00 PM the same day.
In lieu of flowers please make donations in Jay’s name to First Baptist Church of Burnet Youth Camp Scholarship fund, Burnett, TX, Meals on Wheels, or Door of Hope Mission in Odessa, Texas or the charity of choice.
The world lost a sweet, gentle spirit and soul when Jay departed.

Gertrude Creason Kinney
Andrews - Memorial services for Gertrude Creason Kinney, 94, of Andrews will be 2:00 PM Friday, January 20, 2006 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with Raul Puente, Chaplain for Star Hospice, and Mrs. Kinney’s Grandson, Robert Moore, officiating. Services and cremation are under the direction of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews.
Gertrude passed away on Monday, January 16, 2006, at her residence.
She was born on August 13, 1911, in Sibley, Missouri to Lige Creason and Minnie P. Benson Creason. She married David A. Kinney, Jr. on September 29, 1928, in Cleveland, Oklahoma. They moved to Andrews in 1950, where they started Kinney and Kinney in 1954. Kinney and Kinney later became Kinney, Inc. in 1956 which she owned until 1981. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband on February 8, 1962 and her son: David A. Kinney III in 1952.
She is survived by her daughter: Patricia K. Moore of Andrews; 4 grandchildren — Robert Moore and wife Cynthia; Kim and Kelly Kinney; Karen Foltz and husband Ronnie; David Kinney and wife Jennifer; 11 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Carl J.W. Bowers
PHOENIX - Carl J.W. Bowers, 85, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, died Friday, January 13, 2006, in Phoenix, Arizona.
Carl was born March 29, 1920, in Coalgate, Oklahoma, to Lee and Myrtle Bowers. He and his mother moved to the Odessa, Texas, area when he was about five years old. He graduated from Odessa High School where he was the Drum Major for the band and played basketball. He attended Texas School of Mines (later known as UTEP) on a band scholarship and in 1938, he married his high school sweetheart, Mary Laura Webb of Odessa, who predeceased him in 1977.
After working at Henderson Drug Store in Odessa, Texas, and as an ironworker building oil refineries during WWII, he settled in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1945, where he helped build the old Alcoa Aluminum plant. His interest in automobiles led him to a partnership operating the parking garage for the Valley National Bank and Adams Hotel and into automobile sales. He then established Carl’s Car Co. at 16th Street and Van Buren in Phoenix, which he owned and operated for the next 35 years. During his life he was instrumental in the establishment and operations of the Mountain View Church of Christ on Campbell Ave in Phoenix.
His parents, and brother, Vernon Lee Bowers, preceded Carl in death, as did his Dad, Theodius Allen “T.A.” Tisseur, whom he loved.
Carl is survived by his daughter, Alicia Cline and husband Josh, of Phoenix; his son Ewell Bowers and wife Lorri, of San Antonio, Texas; and his son Carl A. Bowers and wife Terrie, of Lewisville, Texas; also surviving are grandchildren Benjamin and Caleb Cline of Phoenix, Kyle James and Cade Matthew Bowers of San Antonio, Dean and Julie Bowers, Beverly Ackerman of Eagle, Idaho, Robert Pittman of Arizona, Denton and Kevin Bowers of California, Alana Busby of Montana, Carl Bowers, Jr. of New Mexico, and Allen James Bowers of Montana. Also surviving are seven great-grandchildren. Services are entrusted to Tempe Mortuary.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday, January 20th, at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Odessa, Texas.

Eddie ‘Whitey’ Loehman
Odessa - Eddie Loehman, 79, of Odessa, Texas, passed away Monday January 16th, 2006 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas.
Eddie was born in Turkey, Texas on February 23rd, 1926 to Edgar and Ida Loehman. He was raised in Brownwood, Texas, and lived in Winters, Texas, for a short time before moving to Odessa in 1968.
Mr. Loehman served in the Navy and fought in World War II. His occupation as a truck driver almost all of his life, lead him to his final employment at Oil Transport where he retired after working over 20 years for this company.
Whitey is preceded in death by two sisters; Hilda Chapman and Elsie Anderson, both of Brownwood, Texas; brothers, Herbert Loehman and Arthur Loehman and a son Eddie Edgar Loehman Jr.
Eddie leaves behind a sister, Agnes Stella of Weymouth, Massachusetts; three sons, Mike Loehman and wife Karen, of San Angelo, Texas, Terry Loehman and wife Noelisa of Winter, Texas, Richard Loehman and wife Denise of Abilene, Texas; two daughters, DeAnn Parks and husband Lonnie of Fort Stockton, Texas, and Jean Stanfield and husband John of Odessa, Texas.
Eddie also leaves behind the pride and joy of his life, his 17 wonderful grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, as well as his extended family and friends.
Funeral services celebrating Eddie’s life will be held Thursday, January 19th, 2006, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Sunset Funeral Home, with Reverend Jimmy Braswell officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be seven of Eddie’s grandsons, Eddie Kyle Loehman, Zack Phillips, Tyler Phillips, Bobby Wylie, Adam Loehman and Eric Loehman.
Eddies’ grandsons, unable to attend, are T.J. Loehman, Tony Loehman and Brandon Loehman.

Lucille Griffith Seals
Odessa - Lucille Griffith Seals, 87, of Odessa went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 16, 2006 at her residence.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a long time member of Order of Eastern Star #447 and of Highland United Methodist Church.
She was born in Athens, TX and moved from Mineral Wells to Odessa with her husband in 1947. Along with raising a family she served as a tax deputy for the Ector County Tax Assessor’s office from which she retired in 1982.
She married Vernon Seals, Sr. on December 6, 1942. Both he and their daughter, Karen Anne Boone preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, Vernon Milton Seals, Jr. four grandchildren, Kimberley Aranda Boone, Terry Boone, Rebecca Jones and James Boone and one great-granddaughter, Heather Aranda. She also has two great-grandchildren, Collin & Zachary Jones and two great great grandchildren, Lucas Gesch & Kadence Watts.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Services are entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Rawlston Leon Buck, Sr.
Midland - Rawlston Leon Buck, Sr., 93, passed on to be with his Lord and Savior, on Tuesday, January 24, 2006. He spent his final days at Midland Memorial Hospital after a short period of failing health, and a week’s stay in the Cardiac Care Unit.
He is survived by his loving daughter Cynthia JaNá Handley and her husband, Toni, and his son, Rawlston Leon “Sonny” Buck, Jr. and his wife Sue. He was preceded in death by wife, Lomah “Beth” Buck in 2001, and by son, Randall “Randy” Carroll Buck.
Buck was born March 10, 1912 in Pawnee, Alabama, the next to the youngest of 4 daughters and 3 sons born to Virginia Florence and Carter Tubb Buck, a railroad man from Falling Water, Tennessee. His father passed away when he was 4 years old, leaving his mother to raise the 7 children. After a brief attempt at farming she moved via railroad with her children to Corsicana, Texas in 1917 where her maiden sister, Cynthia, helped her raise her children. He was educated and worked in his youth in Corsicana, as did all his siblings at assorted jobs available at that time – in rural and railroad jobs, as a butcher, which trade he learned from his older brother, Roy, and hauling produce on the then-dirt road between Corsicana and Dallas. When World War II began, he joined the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving in Amarillo and then Midland for 3 years at the Midland Army Air Corps Bombardier Base between 10/14/1942 – 12/15/45. On November 11, 1944, he married Lomah Beth Hardin in Midland, Texas. They settled in Big Spring, Texas where he opened the Louisiana Fish & Oyster Market, serving the area between El Paso and Dallas. In 1956, they moved the business to Midland, where they continued their work, play, worship and the raising of their family. When the REA Railroad ceased to service Midland, he closed the business and for the next 30 years, worked as a salesman for Imperial Produce and Webb Davis, until his final retirement in 1986.
Dad, Pa Buck, Buck - was a faithful believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, and an active member with his family, in the Christian faith his entire life. He was a member of Crestview Baptist Church from 1956-1978, then, attended Midland Christian Fellowship for many years. He and Beth assisted with the toddlers Sunday school, and are remembered by giving hospitality in fellowship with friends and home group gatherings, traveling, attending family reunions and pancake fly-in breakfasts, fishing and by his love for the Texas coast. He delivered Meals on Wheels for several years and had an open ear for young and old. He was a devoted and a loving husband, father, uncle, grandfather and friend. He was beloved by all and will be remembered dearly by all.
He is also survived by sister, Elora Alderman of Kingsland, Texas, numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren David Hawkins, Chris Handley, Amy Handley, Teague Buck, Julie Buck, Coire Ann Nelson, Jacob Buck, Cody Reeves, Crystal Marten and Cameron Buck and 16 great grandchildren. Special thanks for the tender nursing care dispensed by the doctors and nursing staff at Midland Memorial Cardiac Care Unit.
Visitation and viewing for friends and family will be at Ellis Funeral Home on Andrews Highway, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27th. His funeral service will be held Saturday, January 28, at 1:00 p.m. at Crestview Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home, 801 Andrews Hwy., Midland, Texas 79701 (432) 683-5555.

Saige Naysa Price
Andrews - Saige Naysa Price, 6 month old infant daughter of Brandon and Kristi Price of Andrews, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at Covenant Medical Center Lakeside in Lubbock.
Funeral services were 2:00 PM Saturday, January 21, 2006 at First Baptist Church in Andrews. Dr. Jeff Donnell, Pastor, officiated. Burial followed in the Andrews North cemetery.
Saige was born June 29, 2005 in Lubbock, Texas. Saige was a beautiful miracle from God, and her Daddy’s little “Peanut”.
Saige is survived by: her Mom and Dad, Brandon and Kristi Price of Andrews; Her Big Brother, Layton Price of Andrews, Grandparents-James and Tonya Beard, Lyn and Patti Hudson, and Claude Price all of Andrews; Great-Grandparents - Raymond and Snookie Hudson of Crane; Walter and Ruby Burson of Andrews, Hedy Irwin of Andrews; Barbara and Jerry Deaver of Andrews; and James Buddy Beard of Hugo,Oklahoma.
