ODESSA -- Vesta Irene Young, 85, of Odessa died Wednesday, July 29,1998, at Avalon Place.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dr. Philip McLarty officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Lone Jack, N.M. She was a Presbyterian.
SURVIVORS: Brothers, Paul Taylor and Ray Taylor, both of Odessa, Ralph Taylor of San Angelo.
Sammy Sanchez
ODESSA -- Sammy Heredia Sanchez, infant, of Odessa, died Wednesday,July 29, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.
Mable Brady
ODESSA -- Mable Florence Brady, 57, of Odessa died Tuesday, July 28, 1998, at her residence after a short illness.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rose Hill cemetery with the Rev. Robert Berry officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Tucumari, N.M. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Mary Brady of Odessa; sons, David Brady and Jeff Brady, both of Odessa.
Annie Eagle
ODESSA -- Annie Mae Eagle, 92, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Wednesday, July 29, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. Dr. John Rasco officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Atlanta, Texas. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Claude Eagle of Odessa; brothers, E.B. Burson of Minneapolis, Loyd Burston of Houma, La.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Robert Jackson
ODESSA -- Robert Lee Jackson Jr., 78, of Odessa, a civil engineer, died Wednesday, July 29, 1998, at his residence.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors chapel with John Cooper officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was born in Sentinel, Okla., and moved to Odessa 43 years ago from San Antonio.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Mackay Jackson of Odessa; son, Alan Lee Jackson of Odessa; and sister, Beatrice Armstrong of Houston.
Mary Overton
CRANE -- Mary Catchings Overton, 74, of Crane, a medical records technician, died Wednesday, July 29, 1998.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Crane with the Revs. David Miracle and A.D. Kyle officiating. Burial will be at Crane County cemetery. Arrangements by Richard W. Box Funeral Homes.
She was born in Batson and had been a resident of Crane since 1962. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Ira Lewis Overton of Crane; daughters, Jerry Curfew of Crane, Sandra Carey of Roundrock; step-daughter of Conroe; step-sons, Ronald Overton of Frederick, Md., Rod Overton of Austin; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.
Robert Rigdon
ANDREWS -- Robert Lee "Bob" Rigdon, 70, of Andrews, a retired field operator, died Wednesday, July 29, 1998, at Memorial Hospital in Midland.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Andrews Church of Christ with Bob DuPone and John Snider officiating. Burial will be at Andrews Old cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
He was born in Borger and moved to Andrews in 1954 from Louisiana. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Helen Rigdon of Andrews; sons, Bobby Rigdon of San Antonio, Jerry Rigdon of Brownwood; daughters, Cinday Delaporte of Anahiem, Calif., Tina Rigdon of Andrews; brother, V.C. Rigdon of Big Spring; four grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.
Thurman Buck
ODESSA -- Thurman (O.V.) Buck, 85, of Odessa, a farmer and rancher, died Friday, July 31, 1998, at his residence.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was born in Coleman County and moved to Odessa in 1950 from Baird.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Daisie Buck of Odessa; daughter, Nancy Buck of Odessa; brother, Jim Buck of Weatherford; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

ODESSA -- Mary Guerra, 68, of Odessa died Thursday, July 30, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. today at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Rosary was said Friday at Odessa Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
She was born in Del Rio.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Jessie Guerra of Odessa; son, Able Guerra of Odessa; daughters, Sue Ahrendt of Odessa, Sylvia Gonzales of Amarillo, Yolanda Brown and Diana Morrison, both of Odessa and Mary Hinojos of Dallas; brothers, Paul Muniz Jr. of Carrollton and Elias Muniz of Houston; sisters, Esther Garza of Lubbock, Rita Pope of Warner Robins, Ga., and Vera Juarez of Houston; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

MIDLAND -- Sara Jo Kirksey, 78, of Midland, a retired teacher assistant, died Friday, July 31, 1998, at her residence.

She was born in Eldorado and moved to Midland in 1955. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Son, Del Kirksey of Odessa; daughter, Nell Furgeson of Midland; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Walton Loftis
MIDLAND -- Walton Ovete Loftis, 92, of Midland, a retired exploration and corrosion worker in the oilfield, died Thursday, July 30, 1998, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Resthaven Memorial Park with Hilton Chancellor officiating. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
He was born in Columbus, Miss., and moved to Midland in 1972.
SURVIVORS: Son, Neil Loftis of Midland; daughter, Enid Loftis Holm of Odessa; brother, Austin Loftis of San Antonio; sister, Ruby C. Baxter of Kernes; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. -- Loyd Young, 72, of Westville, Okla., a retired welder, died Wednesday, July 29, 1998, in Tahlequah, Okla.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Tahlequah Church of Christ with Charles Cash officiating. Burial will be at Pettit cemetery. Arrangements by Kelley Funeral Home.
He was born in Bristow, Okla., and moved to Westville in 1982 from Odessa. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
