SEMINOLE -- Josie Fox, 85, of Seminole died Saturday, August 1, 1998, at Seminole Memorial Health Care Center.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Community Chapel with the Rev. Jack Springer of Hobbs officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park in Lamesa. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.
She was born in Cleburne and had lived in Seminole since 1964. She was Baptist.
Survivors: Sons, Howard and James Reed both of Odessa; sisters, Hallie Merchant of DeSota, Bertha Nelson of Lamesa, Earlene Perry of Scottsdale, Ariz., Allie Woods of Lamesa, Mary Helen Wade of Abernathy; and three grandchildren.

Harry Hamrick
KERMIT -- Harry "Buzz" Hamrick, 51, of Kermit died Saturday, August 1, 1998, at Winkler County Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Max Morris officiating. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel, Inc.
He was born in Harrisonburg, Va. And was Baptist.
Survivors: Wife, Carol Hamrick of Kermit; mother, Helen Hamrick of Harrisonburg, Va.; son, Lee Hamrick of Kermit; daughters, Xanna Hamrick of Kermit and Brittany Hamrick of Kermit; sisters, Anna Lee Southerly and Mary Jo Reddey both of Harrisonburg, Va.; and one grandchild.

Lola Leigh
CRANE -- Lola M. Leigh, 91, of Crane died Thursday, July 30, 1998, at the Crane Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Mallory Chapel. Burial will be at New Hope cemetery in Spiro, Okla. Arrangements by Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro, Okla., and local arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home of Crane.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors: Daughters, Gennetta Ann Wilcox of Crane, Lafreeda W. Etheridge of Spiro, Okla. And Betty Jo Edgemon of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 10 grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Azael Sandoval
MIDLAND -- Azael Sandoval, 27, of Odessa, died Friday, July 31, 1998, at his home.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Luis Leal officiating. Interment will be at Fairview cemetery. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
Survivors: Wife, Marivel Romero of Odessa, sons, Ryan Romero Catano and Nathan Azael Sandoval both of Odessa; father, Sylvester Sandoval of Midland; mother, Armandina Valdez of Odessa; brothers, Gabriel, Odell, and Samuel Sandoval all of Midland.

Ernestine Massey
EASTLAND -- Ernestine Massey, 68, of Olden died Thursday, July 30, 1998, in Eastland Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Eastland with the Rev. Tom Goodman officiating. Burial will be at the Eastland City cemetery. Arrangements by Edwards Funeral Home.
She was born in Hastings, Okla. And moved to Olden in 1985 from Odessa. She was Baptist.
Survivors: Husband, Kenneth Massey of Olden; son, Hugh L. Massey of Garland; daughters, Beverly Bailey of Centerville, Ohio and Velda Elaine Miles of Houston; sister, Velda Stewart of Kansas; and four grandchildren.

William Scarborough
CRANE -- Wm. H. "Henry" Scarborough, 75, of Crane died Saturday, August 1, 1998, at Crane County Convalescent Center.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Rankin cemetery with the Rev. David Miracle officiating. Arrangements by Richard W. Box Funeral Home.
He was born in Coke County and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was Methodist.
Survivors: Son, Cecil H. "Bucky" Scarborough of Crane; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Velma Scoggins
SAN ANGELO -- Velma Dean "Corky" Scoggins, 62, of San Angelo, a homemaker, died Saturday, August 1, 1998.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with the Rev. Larry Shotwell officiating. Arrangements by Robert Massie Funeral Home.
She was born in Seminole and recently moved to San Angelo. She was Baptist.
Survivors: Husband, Al Scoggins of San Angelo; daughter, Fredia Kaye Scoggins of Odessa; sons, Lance Scoggins of Azle and Brad Scoggins of Lafayette, La.; sisters, Jewell Mathers of Denver City, June Veatch of Fort Worth, Juanita "Totsy" Smith of Odessa; brother, Raymond Scarbrough of Andrews; and six grandchildren.

Ramon Lujan
PECOS -- Ramon M. Lujan, 73, of Pecos died Saturday, August 1, 1998, at his home.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church. Burial will be at Mount Evergreen cemetery. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday at Pecos Funeral Home.
He was born in Presidio and was Catholic.
Survivors: Wife, Concha Lujan of Pecos; daughters, Maria Olivas, Justina Aguilar, Beatrice Chavez all of Midland, Sulema Ulate of Pecos and Maricela Fason of Conway, Ark.; sons, Ramon Lujan Jr. of Pecos, Jose Luis Lujan of Midland, Juan Lujan of Houston, Rodolfo Lujan of Big Spring and Maurildo Lujan of Fort Stockton.

William Poitevint
FORT STOCKTON -- William "W.H." Poitevint, 81, of Sanderson died Thursday, July 30, 1998, at Pecos County Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Cedar Grove cemetery in Sanderson. Viewing will be 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday at Fort Stockton Funeral Home. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
He was born in Balmorhea and was a World War II veteran.
Survivors: Sons, Eddie B. Poitevint and Richard W. Poitevint both of Odessa; daughters, Barbara K. Hiatt of Odessa, Beverly J. Partee of Sterling, Alaska, Deana Black of Crane; sisters, Joyce Bingham of Gilmer, Darlene Contrell of Lampassas, Gay Camt of Temple; brothers, Ellis Poitevint of Big Spring, Duane Poitevint of Pecos; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Norma Alcantar
FORT WORTH -- Norma Alcantar, 30, of Fort Worth died Friday, July 31, 1998, in a car wreck in Grapevine.
Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Chapel. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Park. Arrangements by Greenwood Funeral Home.
She attended Northside High School in Fort Worth and worked at United Van Lines.
Survivors: Husband, Cesar Alcantar of River Oaks; sons, Christopher, Jonathon and Ceasr, II Alcantar all of River Oaks; daughter, Ashley Alcantar of River Oaks; mother, Mary Helen Castillo of Odessa; father, Manuel Castillo of Odessa; brothers, Manuel Castillo Jr., Eric Castillo both of Fort Worth; sisters, Christine Espinoza and Angel Carbareta of Fort Worth.

Aleta Brown
PLAINVIEW -- Aleta Brown, 70, of Plainview died Saturday, Aug. 1, 1998, at Methodist Hospital in Plainview.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at College Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Robertson officiating. Burial will be at Plainview Memorial Park. Arrangements by Lemons Funeral Home.
She was born in Plainview. She was a Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Earl Brown of Plainview; daughter, Peggy Wallin of Odessa; son, Randy Brown of Plainview; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Ruth Eubank
PECOS -- Ruth Francis Eubank, 77, of Pecos, a homemaker, died Saturday, Aug. 1, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Pecos Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Bruce Abbott officiating. Burial will be at Mount Evergreen cemetery, Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.
She was born in Houma, La., and was a lifelong resident of Pecos. She was a Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Forrest Page Eubank of Pecos; daughter, Melanie Parker of Pecos; sons, William Page Eubank of Farmington, N.M., Kirk Eubank of Kataau, Hawaii; brother, John Milton Hatch of Royal Palm Beach, Fla.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

PECOS -- Hattie Smith, 88, of Pecos, a homemaker, died Saturday, Aug. 1, 1998, at Reeves County Hospital.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Aaron Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Eastside cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.
She was born in Hollingdale, Miss., and had lived in Pecos since 1948. She was a Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, Nathan Fobbs of Dallas; daughters, Bessie Wilson and Della Perry, both of Dallas; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
