Roman Almanza

MONAHANS - Roman Almanza, 85, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 1997, in Monahans.

Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Harkey Funeral Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Catholic Church with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.

He was born in Barstow and he lived in Monahans. He was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Ernesto Almanza and Adolfo Almanza, both of Monahans, and Johnny Almanza of Dallas; daughters, Ofelia Juarez of Bartsow, Otelia Garcia of Lubbock, Josefa Segovia and Lucila Quiroz, both of Odessa, and Connie Naegle of Bloomsfield, N.M.; brothers, Antonio Almanza of Monahans and Migule Almanza of Odessa; sister, Josefina Gonzales of Barstow; 55 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Carolyn Chambliss

DENVER CITY - Carolyn Chambliss, 57, a teacher, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 1997, at Yoakum County Hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Denver City with the Rev. Bob Webb and the Rev. Bob Fred officiating. Burial will be at Denver City Memorial Park. Arrangements by Roger Pool Funeral Home.

She was born in Vernon and she lived in Denver City since 1970. She was a Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Lewis Chambliss of Denver City; daughters, Lori Bannister and Lisa Chambliss, both of Lubbock; mother, Lula Emmett of Denver City; brother, Delton Emmett of Dumas; and one grandson.

Eunice Dudley

WINK - Eunice Dudley, 68, a housewife, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 1997, at Midland Memorial Hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Wink with the Rev. Bill Heggemeier officiating. Burial will be at Kermit cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.

She was born in Blackwell and she lived in Wink for 23 years. She was a Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Pat Dudley of Wink; sons, Gary Marvin Dudley of Wink and James Milton Dudley of Artesia, N.M.; daughters, Judy Lynette Redwood of Tulsa and Linda Ann Ferguson of Evanston, Wy.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Earvin Hayes

ODESSA - Earvin Hayes, 53, a truck driver, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 1997, in Iraan.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. Dewey Martin and the Rev. Roger Davidson. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Midland and he lived in Odessa since he was 12. He was a Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Jessie Hayes of Odessa; sons, Edward Mont Hayes of Colorado City and Kelly Martin and Dewey Martin, both of San Antonio; daughters, Larella Eicks of Show Low, Ariz., and Cassie Davidson of Colorado City; mother, Winnie Simmons of Midland; brother, Raymond Hayes of Midland; sisters, Nadine McGraw and Vivian Duffey, both of Midland; and 11 grandchildren.

I.H. Prosise Jr.

EDEN - I.H. 'Snooks' Prosise Jr., 78, a retired laborer, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 1997, in an Eden nursing home.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Eden Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Eden cemetery.

Arrangements by Eden Funeral Home.

He was born in Runnels County and he lived in Eden. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Henry Prosise of Ballinger and Delbert Prosise of Eden; daughters, Bee Davis and Glenda Stovall, both of Eden, Janie Smith of Odessa and Alice Barnes of Austin; brothers, Jeff Prosise of Grants Pass, Ore., Waymon Prosise of Houston and Gerald Prosise of Eden; sisters, Johnnie Mae of Lubbock, Geneva Medders and Shirley McIntosh, both of Eden, and Loris White of San Angelo; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Jose Rodriguez

ODESSA - Jose Osbaldo Rodriguez, 25, an insulator, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 1997, in Odessa.

Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.

He was born in El Mulato, Chihuahua, Mexico, and lived in Odessa.

SURVIVORS: Son, Jose Osbaldo Rodriguez Jr. of Odessa; daughter, Ashely Rodriguez of Odessa; parents, Faustino and Socorro Rodriguez of Odessa; brothers, Luis A. Levario, Fernando Rodriguez, Faustino Rodriguez, Mauel Jairo Rodriguez and Jesus Rodriguez, all of Odessa; grandparents, Fernando and Magdalena Rodriguez and Florencio and Consuelo Ramirez, all of Odessa.

Ignacio Salgado

ODESSA - Ignacio S. Salgado, 84, a retired cement layer, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 1997, at his residence.

Roasry will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

He was born in Presidio and he lived in Odessa since 1943. He was an Army veteran of World War II and he was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Maria Salgado of Odessa; step-daughters, Nellie Aguilar of Loraine and Mary Ann Mendez of Sweetwater; sister, Alanaslida Vejuga of Odessa; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Michael Stewart

IRAAN - Michael Shawn Stewart, 34, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 1997, in Iraan.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Wright officiating. Burial will be at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at City of Levelland cemetery. Arrangements by Richard W. Box Funeral Home of Iraan.

He was born in Levelland and he lived in Iraan for 13 years. He was a Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Dena Denise Stewart of Iraan; sons, Corey Seth Stewart and Eric Michael Stewart, both of Seminole; daughter, Kelsey Loree Stewart of Seminole; step-sons, Clint Smithson and Brian Smithson, both of Iraan; and grandparents, Louise Bruton of Mineral Wells and Ernest and Jerri Stewart of South Plains.

Billie Jean Dillon

ODESSA - Billie Jean Dillon died Thursday, Aug. 7, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Frank W. Wilson Funeral [cl9.4]Directors Chapel with the Rev. Jess Little officiating. Burial will be at 11 p.m. Aug. 11, 1997 at Woodbine cemetery in Artesia, N.M. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

She was born in Laurel, Miss and was a resident of Odessa.

SURVIVORS: Son, Don Norton Jr. of Odessa; sisters, Lois Welborn and Gerry Rodgers, both of Artesia; three grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren.

Michael Fuller

COLTON - Michael Dale Fuller, 48, died Thursday, July 31, 1997, at his residence in Colton, Calif.

Memorial services were held in the chapel of Loma Linda Veteran's Hospital in San Bernardino County on Tuesday, Aug. 2.

He graduated from Permian High School in 1967 and served with the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

SURVIVORS: Mother, Nineta Fuller of Ruidoso Downs, N.M.; brother, Steve Fuller of Wickett, Texas; and sister, Sue Preslar of Cloudcroth, N.M.

Francisca Gonzales

FORT STOCKTON - Francisca Gonzales, 80, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 1997, in Fort Stockton.

Services will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles Geller officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph cemetery. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.

She was born in Marathon and was a lifelong resident of Fort Stockton.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Rosa Lopez and Amanda Morrissiey, both of Orlando, Fla., and Lupe Hernandez of Fort Stockton; step-sons, Juan Rivera and Leonardo Rivera, both of Fort Stockton; step-daughter, Celia Flores of Fort Stockton; mother, Sophia Gonzales of Fort Stockton; sisters, Lee Pena and Diane Garcia, both of Fort Stockton; 31 grandchildren and 59 great-grandchildren.
