MCINTOCH, Fla. Alfred Rodriguez Arredondo, 79, of McIntoch, Fla., died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, in McIntoch, Fla.
Services will be in McIntoch, Fla., at a later date. Arrangements by Hiers Funeral Home in Ocala, Fla.
He was born in Karnes City. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Eleonore Arrendondo, of McIntoch, Fla.; sons, Arturo Arredondo and Freddy Arredondo, both of Florida, Alfredo Arredondo and Alberto Arredondo, both of Earth; daughters, Dora Arredondo and Diana Arredondo, both of McIntoch, Fla., and Josefina Arredondo and Elia Arredondo, both of Earth; brothers, Benito Arredondo of Ralls, Erasmo R. Arredondo of Odessa, Ike Arredondo of Lotta, S.C., and Lupe R. Arredondo of Corpus Christi; sister, Estella A. Robles and Dora A. Ramirez, both of Corpus Christi; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

ODESSA Mary E. Lovelace Gibson, 44, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at her residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Lane, Okla. Local arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
She was born in Hugo, Okla. She was Presbyterian.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Alana Jade Lovelace, of Evansville, Ind.; father, John Lovelace, of Evansville, Ind.; brothers, Mike Lovelace of Odessa and David Lovelace of Frankfort, Ken.; sister, Laura Patterson of Evansville, Ind.
Esther Gonzales
MARFA Esther Rice Gonzales, 79, of Marfa, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999,in a Lubbock hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. today at St. Marys Catholic Church. Burial will be at Merced cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in Marfa and was a lifelong resident. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Betty Machuca of Las Cruces, N.M., Esther Gonzales of Corpus Christi, Mary Jane Mendoza, Linda Rojo, Cinderella Guevara and Sylvia Cano, all of Marfa, Norma Granado of Fort Davis, Cecilia Uvalde of Nashville, Tenn.; sons, Henry Gonzales and Frank Gonzales, both of Marfa, William Richard Gonzales of Lubbock and Joe Ruben Gonzales of La Mesa, N.M.; brothers, William Rice of Valinda, Calif., and Fred Rice of La Puente, Calif.; sisters, Margaret Martinez of Marfa and Nora Barriga of El Paso; 29 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Opal McCandless
KERMIT Opal M. McCandless, 87, of San Antonio, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at Manor Care Nursing Home.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. L.D. Green Sr. officiating. Burial will be at Kermit cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.
She was born in Coleman and had been a resident of San Antonio for six years. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Eva Leiber, Nita Moore and Sandra Holt, all of San Antonio; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Billy Pearson
LAMESA Billy James "Jamie" Pearson, 66, of Lamesa, owner of Pearson Drilling Company, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999, at his residence.
Services will 3 p.m. Saturday at Bryan Street Baptist Church with the Revs. Dennis Teeters and Brian Pinkerton and Dr. Lester Collins officiating. Burial will be at Lamesa cemetery. Arrangements by Branon Funeral Home.
He was born in Lamesa and was a lifelong resident. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Joyce Pearson, of Lamesa; sons, Don Pearson of Dickinson, Eddy Pearson of Tyler and Ray Pearson of Edmonds, Wash.; daughter, Robin Hart, of Goldthwaite; mother, Mary Lou Pearson, of Lamesa; sisters, Cynthia Parker of Abilene and Janelle Collins of Houston; and 12 grandchildren.
Frances Puckett
ANDREWS Frances Ann Puckett, 47, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Andrews North cemetery with the Rev. John McQueen officiating. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
She was born in Seminole and moved to Odessa in 1990 from Andrews. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Harry Puckett, of Odessa; daughter, Laura Garrigan, of Kerrville; sons, Billy Lee Puckett of Kerrville, James Puckett and Mark Puckett, both of Andrews; brothers, Lonnie G. Cox Jr. of Azle and Robert Lee Cox of El Paso; sister, Faye Timmons of Andrews; and 15 grandchildren.
Nan Ray
ROSWELL, N.M. Nan Preston Ray, 90, of Midland, a retired teacher, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center in Midland .
Graveside services were Thursday at South Park cemetery. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
She was born in Argyle. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Grandsons, Hilton Chancellor and Preston Chancellor, both of Midland, and David Chancellor of Lufkin; and six great-grandchildren.
Thelma Shurm
ODESSA Thelma Francis Tuscana Shrum, 68, of Odessa, a retired nursing assistant, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Wes Duckett officiating. Burial will be at Crane cemetery. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Corn City. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Charles Francis Shrum, of Odessa; daughter, Mary Hickman, of Odessa; son, James Tuscana, of Bandera; brother, Gene Bryan, of San Angelo; sisters, Ruby Dietrich of Rockport, Alma Moore of Victoria, Laveda Elliott of Missouri, Mae Elliott of Banning, Calif., and Fannie Bryan of San Angelo; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

ODESSA Curtis Green, 82, of Odessa, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, at New Horizons Nursing Home.
Services are pending with Martinez Funeral Home.
Claude McKinley
LAKE CITY, Fla. Claude Lee "Sonny" McKinley, 55, of Lake City, Fla., a carpenter, died Saturday Aug. 15, 1998, in a Veterans Administration hospital in Lake City.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He came to Odessa in 1948 from Baird. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Mother, Margurette McKinley of Odessa; son, Dale Lee McKinley of Amarillo; daughter, Vicki Lynn Stone of Odessa; brother, J.T. McKinley of Orlando, Fla.; sister, Renee Joy of Odessa; six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ernie Savage
KERMIT Ernie Savage, 87, of Kermit, a retired pumper, died Saturday, Aug. 15, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Lee, Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Kermit cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Chapel.
He was born in Ceaderville, Kan.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Maxine Boatwright and Janet Warren of Kermit; son, Donald Savage of Saint Paula, Calif.; sisters, Lorena Gabril of Odessa and Ruby Pearcy of San Antonio; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
