ODESSA — Beverley Joan Simmons, 44, of Odessa, an office manager, died Monday, Oct. 25, 1999, at her residence.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Lutheran Church of the Risen Lord with the Revs. Preston Weatherly and James Otterness officiating. Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was born in Odessa. She was Christian.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Lanell Simmons and Erica Simmons, both of Odessa; parents, D.W. "Bud" and Phyllis Dudley of Odessa; brother, Dennis Dudley of Atlanta, Ga.; sister, Deborah Dudley of Odessa; and one granddaughter.
Mildred Smetak
FORT STOCKTON — Mildred Smetak, 76, of Fort Stockton, died Monday, Oct. 25, 1999, at Covenant Lakeside.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at First Baptist Church. Burial will be at East Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Resthaven Funeral Home.
She was born in Arkadelphia, Ark., and moved to Fort Stockton in 1955. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Ben Smetak of Fort Stockton; sons, Sam Fletcher of Houston, Don Fletcher of Corpus Christi and Jerry Fletcher of Lubbock; stepson, Ben Smetak Jr. of Las Vegas; stepdaughters, Melissa Smetak-French of St. George, Utah, Pamela Smetak-King of Farmington, N.M., and Becky Hamblin of Odessa; sister, Doris Baker of Gladewater; 8 grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Leonard Anderson
ABILENE — Leonard Anderson, 91, of Abilene, a carpenter, died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1999, in Abilene.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Woodlawn Church of Christ with Charles Brazell officiating. Burial will be at Eastland cemetery. Arrangements by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home.
He was born in Deport and moved to Abilene in 1998 from Kermit. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Eunice Anderson of Abilene; daughter, Evelyn Payne of Abilene; sister, Kate Landreth of Richardson; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Daisy Farmer
GRAPEVINE — Daisy Shafer Farmer, 82, of Keller, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999, in Grapevine.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lucas Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bourland cemetery in Keller. Arrangements by Lucas Funeral Home.
She was born in Denton County and moved to Keller in 1964.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Ardean Shafer and William Shafer, both of Keller, Bobby Shafer of Carrollton and Ronnie Shafer of McLeansville, N.C.; daughters, Shirley Glass of Odessa and Ann Pearson of Colleyville; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Ricky Hunt
CARLSBAD, N.M. — Ricky Allen Hunt, 49, of Odessa, an auto mechanic, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999, at his residence.
Graveside services will be at Sunset Gardens with the Rev. Al Johnson and Jimmy Braswell officiating. Arrangements by Sunset Gardens.
He was born in Charleston, Mo. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Paula Hunt of Odessa; sons, Chester Hunt and Ricky Hunt, both of Hobbs, N.M.; daughters, Betty Lou Romero and Marjorie Vaught, both of Odessa; mother, Betty Hunt of Opal, Wyo.; brothers, Michael Hunt of Opal, Wyo., and Jimmy Hunt of Baron, Calif.; sisters, Joy Salmon of Kansas, Cathy Ragsdale of Whites City, Ore.; halfsister, Barbara Zimmerman of El Sequedo, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.

CRANE — Frank S. Lively, 81, of Iraan, former Iraan City Council member, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999, in Fredericksburg.
Services will be at Iraan Christian Church with the Rev. J. Galindo Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Restland cemetery. Arrangements by Richard W. Box Funeral Home.
He was born in Columbia, La. He was a member of Iraan Christian Church.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Juanita Lively of Iraan; daughters, Anita Blackwell of Fredericksburg, Sherry Ann Lively of Corpus Christi; sisters, Daisy Roberts of Monroe, La., and Billie Rochelle of Kermit; brothers, Louis Pearline Lively of Pecos; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Randall Nicholson
MARATHON — Randall Allen Nicholson, 39, of Marathon, died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1999, at a Midland Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Marathon cemetery. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.
He was born in Chinon, France.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Mary Mather Nicholson of Marathon; son, Derick Nicholson of Greybull; daughter, Christy Lee of San Antonio; brother, Ricky Nicholson; mother, LaWanda Zenzel of Heeber, Utah; sisters, Judy Leach of Miami, Okla., and Teresa Overn of Heber, Utah.
Alfred Sawyer
SEMINOLE — Alfred Monroe Sawyer, 93, of Seminole, a farmer, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Gaines County cemetery with the Rev. Gayle Perkins officiating. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.
He was born in Runnals County. He was Presbyterian.

She was born in Ojinaga, Mexico, and was Catholic.

DENVER CITY — Claudie Ray Gruben Jr., 51, of Denver City, died Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999, in Brownwood Regional Hospital.
Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Auld officiating. Burial will follow in the Denver City Memorial Park. Arrangements by Ratliff Funeral Homes.
He was born in Brownfield and was Baptist.
