ODESSA - Mildred Irene Fiedler, 81, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 1997, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Ernest Easley officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Callahan County and was a resident of Odessa. She was a Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, John Fiedler of Odessa; son, Billy Carson of Goldsmith; daughter, Irene Paullett of Odessa; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Manuel Garcia
PECOS - Manuel B. Garcia, 89, a retired construction worker, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 1997, at Pecos Nursing Home.
Rosary was said Tuesday night. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with the Rev. Antonio Mena officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home in Pecos.
He was born in Shafter and was a lifetime resident of Pecos. He was a Catholic.
Survivors: Sons, Concepcion 'Teofilo' Garcia, Ramon Garcia and Manuel 'Pina' Garcia Jr., all of Pecos and Saul Garcia of El Paso; daughters, Eloisa Bustamante and Carlota Zubiate, both of Pecos, Catalina Detra Rayos of El Paso and Socorro Aguilar of Odessa; sister, Sabina Madrid of Pecos; 28 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Jesus Lujan
ODESSA - Jesus Manuel Lujan Jr., 5, of Odessa died Monday, Sept. 1, 1997, in Mexico.
Rosary will be said today at 2 p.m. at the Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home.
He was born in Odessa and was a student at Sam Houston Elementary.
SURVIVORS: Sister, Valerie Cadena of Odessa; and brother, Oscar Cadena Jr. of Odessa.

ODESSA - Frances Sharlin Shaw, 33, a Human Resources department employee at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, died Saturday, Aug. 30, 1997, in Dallas.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born in Odessa and was a resident of Dallas. She was a member of North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship Church.
SURVIVORS: Parents, Lester Shaw and Beulah Shaw, both of Odessa; brother, Lester Shaw Jr. of Dallas; and sisters, Leslie Compton of Dallas and Sandra Shaw of Odessa.

JAL, N.M. - Bobby Snider of Jal, N.M., 56, a field mechanic and plant operator for Enron, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 1997, at Permian General Hospital in Andrews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Fifth Street Baptist Church in Jal with the Rev. Terry Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in the Jal cemetery. Arrangements by Calvary Funeral Home in Eunice, N.M.

He was born in Corpus Christi, and moved to Midland at an early age. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine during the Vietnam conflict. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

She was born in Colorado City and moved to Odessa in 1941. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

He was born in Bad Krunach, Germany, and had lived in Fort Stockton for 10 months.
