ODESSA — Minnie Cox, 93, of Odessa died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, at her residence.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Sherwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Hiser officiating. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Monahans Municipal cemetery. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Cottonwood and was a Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Norman Cox of Monahans, Durward Cox of Kerrville, William Cox of Huber, Ark.; daughters, Barbara Floyd of Odessa, Linda Woods of Odessa; brother, J.B. Shirley of Monahans; sisters, Avanell Gibbons of Fort Worth and Lamoin Hart of Midland; 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Thomas Harrison Jr.
ODESSA — Thomas Harrison Jr., 72, of Odessa died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Highland United Methodist Church with the Rev. Johann Neethling officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Stamford and was a member of Highland United Methodist Church.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Doris Harrison of Odessa; son, Thomas Lynn Harrison of Odessa; daughter, Pamela Harrison of Austin; brother, Joe Harrison of Maui, Hawaii; and five grandchildren.

Alvin Mefford
ODESSA — Alvin Mefford, 93, of Odessa died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, in Odessa.
Services will be 1 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jess Little officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrange-ments by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
He was a Baptist and lived in Odessa for more than 30 years.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Nancy Langford.

Flora Parvin
FLOYDADA — Flora Parvin, 68, of Floydada died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, in Lubbock.
Services were 10 a.m. Saturday at Moore-Rose-White Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Henry Russell officiating. Burial was in Floydada cemetery. Arrangements by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Erbert Parvin of Floydada; son, Johnny Parvin of Odessa; daughters, Betty Lamb of Lubbock, Alice Walker and Martha Nichols of Odessa, Joy Arwine and Linda Walls both of Floydada; brothers, James Gilbert of Calif., Charlie Spann of Houston; sisters, Martha Dunn of Trent, Dollie Goodson of Stafford; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Scott Sage
LONG BEACH — Scott Wayne Sage, 31, of Long Beach died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000 in Los Angeles, Calif.
Graveside services will be today at 3 p.m. in McKenzieville cemetery. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Kermit and was a biochemist.
SURVIVORS: Mother, Darlene Wells of Odessa; father, Roy Sage of Midland; sister, Marnie Sage of Dallas; grandmother, Geneviene Sage of Kermit; great-grandmother, Jewell Mathers.

Verlon Stone
ODESSA — Verlon Stone, 52, of Odessa died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will 1 p.m. today in the Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. Randy Unreh officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Eagle Pass and was a Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Sandi Stone of Odessa; sons, Ryan Stone of Odessa; daughter, Kelbi Kirby of Odessa; brother, Harlon Stone of Dallas; sisters, Peggy Wilkey of Dallas, Oretta Stone of Seymore, Delores Stone of Odessa; and two grandchildren.

Gary Griffin
ODESSA — Gary Griffin, 33, of Odessa died Friday, Feb. 11, 2000, in Odessa.
Services are pending with Wheeler Mortuary.

Jesusita Heredia
CRANE — Jesusita Heredia, 69, of Crane died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, in Crane.
Services are pending with Richard W. Box Funeral Home.

Ruby Smith
ODESSA — Ruby Smith, 69, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Johnson Chapel A.M.E. Church with the Rev. Curtis Norris officiating. Burial will be at Ector County cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born in Odessa and was a lifelong resident. She was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Son, Larry Tucker Smith of Odessa; daughter, Diane Darby-Morgan of Phoenix; brother, Raymond Walker of Odessa; sisters, Jewell Haynes of Los Angeles, Dorothy Smith, Bernice Smith and Willie Mae Beck, all of Odessa, and Imogene Smith of Pampa; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Thelma Guthrie
POST — Thelma Guthrie, 82, of Key, a retired convenience store manager, died Thursday, March 2, 2000, at her residence.
Graveside services were held Saturday, March 4, 2000, at Terrace cemetery with the Rev. Buddy Payne officiating. Arrangements by Hudman Funeral Home.
She was born in Coleman County. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Kay Hendricks of Big Spring; sisters, Earlene Bartlett of Nocona and Anita Wood of Odessa; and four grandchildren.

MONAHANS — Elizabeth "Liz" Harris, 35, of Wickett, an auto sales professional, died Friday, March 3, 2000, in Winkler County.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church. Burial will be at Pyote cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.
SURVIVORS: Husband, James Harris of Wickett; sons, James Harris Jr. and Michael Harris, both of Wickett; daughter, Tiffany Harris of Wicket; parents, Mildred Harris Rice and Tom Harris of Wickett; and sisters, Velma Keith of Llano, Donna Edens of Odessa and Debbie Hautzenroder of Round Rock.

SEMINOLE — Glenda Lavada Turnbull, 41, of Mesa, Ariz., a nurse’s aide, died Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000, at her residence.

She was born in Seminole and moved to Mesa, Ariz., 14 years ago from there.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Jerry Turnbull of Mesa, Ariz.; son, Billy Routh of Bastrop, La; daughters, Jennifer Jones and Corie Gonzales, both of Mesa, Ariz.; parents, Royce and Lumaran Harris of Bastrop, La.; brother, Steve Harris of Bastrop, La.; and one grandchild.
