ODESSA — Harold E. Whitlock, 80, of Odessa, a retired truck driver, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, in Odessa.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Hubbard-Kelly Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Ernest Easley officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

He was born in Reno, Nev. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Dawn Whitlock of Odessa; son, Michael Whitlock of Palm Harbor, Fla.; daughters, Sandra Scott of Hood River, Ore., and Donna Swinney of Odessa; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Harwell Whitmire

MIDLAND — Harwell Callaway Whitmire, 90, of Odessa, a retired rancher and farmer, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000, in Midland.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Fairview cemetery with the Rev. Bill Heggemeier officiating. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.

He was born in Midland. He was Methodist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Avalyn P. Whitmire of Odessa; son, Jack N. Whitmire of Victoria; daughters, Betty W. Sumner of Midland and Mary W. Fish of Tempe, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Johnnie Woodbury

ODESSA — Johnnie Woodbury, 84, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Cameron officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

She was born in Golthwaite. She was Methodist.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Benjamin Woodbury of Odessa; son, Don Woodbury of Dallas; sister, Florine Doty of Olgsby; brother, Harris Griffin of Gatesville; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Michael Denman

ODESSA — Michael Denman, 57, of Odessa died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

Arrangements are pending with Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Ruby Barfield

PECOS — Ruby Nelle Barfield, 81, of Pecos, a homemaker, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. L.H. Woodard officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

She was born in Canadian and had been a resident of Pecos since 1951. She was Methodist.

SURVIVORS: Son, John Barfield of Garden City; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Jerry Harbin

WICKETT — Jerry Dean Harbin, 55, of Wickett, an employee of the city of Wickett, died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000, at his residence.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Allie Balco officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.

He was born in Whitesboro and had been a resident of Wickett for 35 years. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Ocie Harbin of Wickett; son, Gary Harbin of Wickett; daughter, Terry Vaughn of Gardendale; brothers, James Harbin of Snyder, Raymond Harbin of Dublin and Bob Harbin of Gainesville; sisters, Wanda Slaughter of Killeen and Shirley Guynes of Snyder; six grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.

Yolanda Orosco

MONAHANS — Yolanda Orosco, 55, of Monahans, a homemaker, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. John’s Catholic Church with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.

She was born in Barstow and had been a lifelong resident of Monahans. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Jesus Orosco of Monahans; sons, Tommy Orosco of Monahans and Jose Luis Orosco of San Angelo; daughters, Carol Flores and Lori Ann Orosco, both of San Angelo, Lisa Orosco and Janette Orosco of Monahans, and Annette Tavarez of Crane; mother, Beta Almanza of Monahans; brothers, Salvador Almanza and Bobby Almanza, both of Monahans; sister, Delma Acosta of Monahans; and 14 grandchildren.

Teri Schulte

POSSUM KINGDOM — Teri Schulte, 45, of Possum Kingdom, secretary for James’ Auto Service, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000, in Fort Worth.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Community Church of Possum Kingdom with the Rev. Foy Layton officiating. Burial will be at McAdams cemetery. Arrangements by White’s Funeral Home.

She was born in Odessa and had been a resident of the Possum Kingdom and Mineral Wells areas for 25 years.

SURVIVORS: Husband, James Schulte of Possum Kingdom; daughter, Lori Cunningham of Arlington; parents, J.T. and Nina Gray of Brownwood; and sister, Sharon Worley of Fort Worth.

Mavis Sessions

DENVER CITY — Mavis Dean Sessions, 63, of Denver City, a retired hairdresser, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, at Yoakum County Hospital in Denver City.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Revs. Bob Webb, Bob Fred and Randy Butler officiating. Burial will follow at the Denver City Memorial Park. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.

She was born in Lynn County and had been a resident of since 1972. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Jack Sessions of Denver City; sons, Michael Dwaine Cathey of Burnet and William Kenneth Sessions of Corinth; sisters, June Glenn of Odessa and Bonnie Dorman of O’Donnell; and two grandchildren.

Iris Sexton

ODESSA — Iris Sexton, 76, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with the Rev. Dr. Jack Claassen officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

She was born in O’Donnell and had been a resident of Odessa since 1980. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Toni Batte of Odessa; son, Robert Charles "Rick" Sexton of Fort Worth; and four grandchildren.

AUSTIN — Alice Ball, 85, of Odessa, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, in Austin.
