PECOS — Martha Chavez Medrano, 37, of Pecos, a nurse, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

She was born in Pecos and was a longtime resident. She was apostolic.

SURVIVORS: Mother, Jesusita Lara Chavez of Monahans; brothers, Hector Chavez of San Angelo and Arturo Chavez of Pecos; sisters, Eva Chavez of Pecos, Gloria Chavez Holguin of San Angelo and Anita Chavez of Monahans.

Mary Kelley

SWEETWATER — Mary A. Mathews Kelley, 97, of Gunter, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, at Hilltop Haven Nursing Home in Sweetwater.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at McCoy Chapel of Memories with several family members officiating. Burial will be at Roscoe cemetery in Roscoe. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home.

She was born in Hobart, Okla., and had been a resident of Odessa. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Juanita Mathews Clayton of Del Rio, Imogene Mathews Jones of Gunter and Frances "Toots" Mathews Hynum of Phoenix; son, Billy Roy Mathews of Sweetwater; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Terry Marin

FORT DAVIS — Terry E. Marin, 50, of Korea, a physical security specialist, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, at William Beaumont Military Hospital in El Paso.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Rick Ruiz officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at the church. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.

He was born in Fort Davis. He was an Army veteran.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Steven Marin of Germany, Daniel Marin of Pennsylvania and Tommy Marin of Korea; stepdaughter, Justine Marin of Korea; mother and step-father, Gloria and Joe Dominguez of Fort Davis; and sisters, Jane Granado of New Braunfels and Sally Lauro of Gilbert, Ariz.

Teresa Olivas

PECOS — Teresa Olivas, 62, of Pecos, a homemaker, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at Reeves County Hospital.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

She was born in Pecos and was a longtime resident. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Lorenzo Olivas of Pecos; son, Johnny Olivas of Pecos; brother, Crespin Franco of Fort Stockton; sister, Petra Acosta of Fort Stockton; and four grandchildren.

Malcolm Tillotson

FORT STOCKTON — Malcolm Arnold Tillotson, 37, of Bellingham, Wash., a computer engineer, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, in Bellingham.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at East Hill cemetery with the Revs. Todd White and Skip Hill officiating. Arrangements by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.

He was born in Fort Stockton and moved to Bellingham, Wash., several months ago. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Laura Tillotson of Sulphur, La., sons, Nicholas Jim Tillotson of Bedford and Preston Tillotson of Sulphur, La.; daughter, Katherine Alica Tillotson of Sulphur, La.; mother, Elena A. Tillotson of Odessa; brothers, Jimmy Leroy Tillotson of Fort Stockton, Rickie L. Tillotson of Odessa; sister, Vivian T. Hickman of Fort Stockton; and grandmother, Gussie Arnold of Brookhaven, Miss.

ODESSA — Alice H. Palmer, 85, of Odessa died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at Avalon Place.

ODESSA — Thomas Edward Schaefer, 64, of Odessa died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000, at his residence.

Jerry Erwin

ODESSA — Jerry William Erwin, 62, of Odessa, an auto mechanic’s helper, died Thursday, March 15, 2001, in Odessa.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Robert L. Bratcher officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

He was born in Sentinel, Okla., and was a resident of Odessa for three years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Brother, Ronald Lee Erwin of Orlando, Calif.; and sister, Carolyn Skidmore of Odessa.

John Gibson

ODESSA — John Bryant Gibson, 59, of Odessa, a chef, died Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at Scenic Mountain Hospital in Big Spring.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Texas and Clements Church of Christ with Billy Lemon officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

He was born in Oakwood and was a resident of Palestine before moving to Odessa 48 years ago. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Daughter, Lisa Whitiker of Dallas; brothers, Clyde C. Gibson of Midland and Herbert Gibson of Odessa; sister, Celestine Rand of Odessa; and two grandchildren.

George Kotarski Jr.

ODESSA — George Edward Kotarski Jr., 43, of Odessa, an oilfield driller, died Monday, March 12, 2001, in Odessa.

Services will be at a later date in Casper, Wyo. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel and Bustard Funeral Home.

He was born in East Chicago, Ind. He was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Sonya Kotarski of Odessa; sons, George Edward Kotarski III and Jacob Allen Kotarski, both of Odessa; daughters, Kristen Kotarski and Sarah Kotarski, both of Texas; stepdaughter, Sherie Leann Edwards of Odessa; mother, Dolores Glaze of Aurora, Colo.; brother, Russell Glaze of Borger; and sisters, Colleen Kotarski of Casper and Kimberly Lincoln of Indio, Calif.

ODESSA — Robert W. "Bob" Creech, 65, of Odessa died Thursday, March 15, 2001, at an Odessa hospital.

He was born in near Sherwood and was a longtime resident of Midland. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Dian Wilkerson of Midland, Priscilla "Prissy" Pense of Cedar Park and Beverly Cowan of Round Rock; step-children, Sandy Driver, Les Driver and Jake Driver, all of California; eight grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Sylvia Fuentez

ODESSA — Sylvia Fuentez, 42, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

She was born in Pecos and was a lifelong resident of Odessa. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Abram Fuentez of Odessa; son, Abram Fuentez III of Odessa; daughters, Melissa Fuentez and Joanna Fuentez, both of Odessa; father, Jose Payen of Odessa; mother, Lydia Payen of Odessa; and sister, Lupe Payen of Odessa.

Emogene Griffin

CRANE — Emogene Bolles Griffin, 76, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, at Parks Methodist Retirement Village.

She was born in Chickasha, Okla. She was Baptist.

MIDLAND — M.C. "Holly" Hollinshead, 86, of Midland, retired owner of M&M Food Market, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at his residence.

He was born in Augburn.
