HOPE, Ark. — Elbert N. May Jr., 82, of Hope, Ark., a retired oilfield mechanic, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, in Hope.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Herndon Funeral Home Chapel with Delvas Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Shover Springs cemetery. Arrangements by Herndon Funeral Home.

He was born in Bodcaw, Ark. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Judy G. Gordon May of Hope; son, Jack G. May of Odessa; daughter, Carol May Hanson of Hope; brother, Mack May of Mexia; sister, Margarite Chowski of Castle Rock, Colo.; and two grandchildren.

Frederick Earl Stroade

BALMORHEA — Frederick Earl Stroade, 85, of San Angelo, a retired ranch supply store owner, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2000, at his home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Evergreen cemetery.

He was born in Roswell, N.M. He had lived in San Angelo since 1987. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Mildred Stroade of San Angelo; daughter, Carolyn Stroade of Balmorhea; brother, Kenneth Stroade of Buffalo; sisters, Lucille Ross of Scottsdale, Ariz., Anna Mae Reynolds and Jane Dean, both of Lubbock.

Irene McCoy

SEMINOLE — Irene Stark McCoy, 79, of Oklahoma City, a homemaker, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, at her residence.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Gaines County cemetery South with the Rev. Derrel Evins officiating. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.

She was born in Seminole. She was Methodist.

SURVIVORS: Son, Terry G. McCoy of San Antonio; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Wyneta Nunley

JACKSBORO — Wyneta Nunley, 93, of Ruidoso, N.M., a retired nurse’s aid, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, in Ruidoso.

Graveside services were at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, at the Oakwood cemetery with Joe Williams officiating. Arrangements by LaGrone Funeral Chapel.

She was born in Jacksboro and had been a longtime resident of Odessa. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Son, L. Ray Nunley of Ruidoso; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Randall Pinn

HOUSTON — Randall Pinn, 43, of Houston died Monday, Dec. 5, 2000, in Houston.

Services are pending with Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

Eunice Ansley

ODESSA — Eunice P. Ansley, 78, of Odessa died Sunday, July 2, 2000, at her residence.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. Mountain Standard Time today at Twin Oaks Memorial Park in Artesia, N.M. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Gardens.

She was born in Duncan, Ariz.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Jack Ansley of Odessa and Jim Ansley of Katy; brother, Dee Nunn of Alabama; and seven grandchildren.

Jesus Carrasco Jr.

PECOS — Jesus D. Carrasco Jr., 85, of Pecos died Tuesday, July 4, 2000, at Reeves County Hospital.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Mount Evergreen cemetery. Arrangements by Pecos Funeral Home.

He was born in Pecos and was a lifelong resident. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Brother, Canuto Carrasco of Midland.

John Davidson

CRANE — John Fred Davidson, 86, of Midland, a retired field mechanic, died Sunday, July 2, 2000, at his residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. K.C. Blackketter officiating. Burial will be at Crane County cemetery. Arrangements by Richard W. Box Funeral Home.

He was born in Simsboro, La. He was Baptist. He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Kathy Davidson of Midland; brothers, Marvin Davidson and Clint Davidson, both of Dubach, La., and Paul Davidson of Crane; sisters, Narvis Dowling of Bruston, La., and Fran Bledsoe of Shreveport, La.

Paula Lambert

SEMINOLE — Paula W. Lambert, 78, of Seagraves died Monday, July 3, 2000, at Yoakum County Hospital in Denver City.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with Rick Smith officiating. Burial will be at Gaines County South cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.

She was born in McKinney and had been a resident of Seagraves for 52 years. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Donna Brown of Seminole; sisters, Mary Ella Fisher of Rowlett and Peggy Bishop of Dallas; brother, Ray Bolton of New Milford, Conn.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

ODESSA — Lillian Mae Pettigrew, 80, of Odessa died Sunday, July 2, 2000, at Heartland Nursing Home in Bedford.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Johnny Young officiating. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Gardens.

She was born in Rome, Ga., and had been a resident of Odessa for 46 years. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Son, LaMarr Hartman of Fort Worth; daughter, Nancy Lewis of LaPorte; sister, Christine Douglas of Odessa; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Vidala Segura

MARFA — Vidala G. Segura, 85, of Marfa, a homemaker, died Thursday, June 29, 2000, in El Paso.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Rick Ruiz officiating. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home of Marfa and Harding-Orr-McDaniel Funeral Home of El Paso.

She was born in Marfa and had been a longtime resident of Marfa.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Irma S. Morales of Marfa and Valerie S. Olivas of El Paso; son, Roque Segura of El Paso; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

OJINAGA, Mexico — Fernanda P. Sotelo, 77, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Monday, July 3, 2000, at Medical Center Hospital.

She was born in Ojinaga. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Alicia Urias, Carmela Sotelo and Refugia Morales, all of Ojinaga, Maria Gomez of Odessa, Isidra Sotelo and Fernanda Ochoa, both of Chihuahua, Mexico; sons, Efrain Sotelo and Jesus Sotelo, both of Phoenix, and Cuco Sotelo of Houston; sisters, Anita Montes and Manuela Valenzuela, both of Odessa, Antonia Samaniego of Monahans and Margarita Bustamante of Ojinaga; brothers, Gabriel Perez, Genovevo Rodriguez and Albert Rodriguez, all of Odessa, and Mauricio Rodriguez and Enrique Rodriguez, both of Ojinaga; 45 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was born in Mart. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Son, J.D. "Barney" Springfield of Odessa; daughters, Joyce Orr of Big Spring, Dean Blankenship of Snyder and Dawn Springfield of Lewisville; sister, Marie Rasberry of Lubbock; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.

MIDLAND — Kayo Wolff, 56, of Odessa died Monday, July 3, 2000, at a local hospital.

Services are pending with Ellis Funeral Home.

Frank Dale Lucas

GOLDTHWAITE — Frank Dale Lucas, 70, of Brownwood, a retired mail carrier, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2000, at his home.

Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Stacy-Wilkins Chapel. Burial will follow at the Mt. Olive cemetery in Mills County.

Lucas was born Aug. 14, 1930, in Sand Springs, Okla. He was an Army veteran.

He moved to Brownwood from Odessa in 1988. He was a member of the First Church of Nazarene.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Jo Ann Lucas of Brownwood; son, Lonnie Dale Lucas of Odessa; daughter, Sherry Carrell of Oklahoma; stepdaughters, Gayla Brantley of Lamesa, Helen Pendland and Bonita Wingfield, both of Odessa; brothers, Kenneth Lucas of Ramona, Okla. and Jim Lucas of Denton; sister, June Dyer of Tulsa, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
