BIG SPRING - Consuelo "Connie" Prado, 71, of Lomax, a homemaker, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, at her residence.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Jeremiah McCarthy officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park. Arrangements by Myers and Smith Funeral Home.

She was born in La Feria and was a resident of Lomax for 35 years. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Manuel Prado of Lomax; sons, Mario M. Prado Jr. of La Feria, Mario O. Prado of Corpus Christi, Jorge Humberto Prado of Lomax and Carlos Prado of Odessa; daughter, Martha Noyola of Snyder; brothers, Alfredo Fernandez of La Feria, Samuel Fernandez of Houston, Santiago Fernandez of Harlingen, Roberto Fernandez of Austin and Rodolfo Fernandez of Solena Beach, Calif.; sisters, Carmen Lozano of Round Rock, Berta Alvarez of Austin, Beatrice Archibeque of Bryan, Celia Escobedo of Rockport, Margarita Dominquez of Taylor and Josephina Castillo of Copperas Cove; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Lidia Soto

SAN JUAN DE GUADALUPE, Mexico - Lidia Soto, 73, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at San Juan de Guadalupe Cementerio Municipal. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

She was born in San Juan de Guadalupe, Mexico.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Aniceto Soto of Odessa; sons, Manuel Soto, Pedro Soto and Martin Soto, all of Odessa, and Jose Luis Soto of Hickory, N.C.; daughters, Carmen Elena Guerrero of Odessa, Adriana Castaneda of Memphis, Tenn., Juana Maria Zamora and Claudia Bernal, both of Dallas; brothers, Antonio Adame of Torreon, Mexico, and Pedro Adame of San Antonio; sisters, Bertha Torres of Odessa and Felipa Adame of Juarez, Mexico; 24 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Wanda Swartz

ANDREWS - Wanda Swartz, 71, of Andrews, a homemaker, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, at her residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Church of God with the Rev. Timothy G. Chenault officiating. Burial will be at the Andrews North cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.

She was born in Cushing, Okla. She was a member of the Church of God.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Herbert Swartz of Andrews; daughters, Linda Askins and Rita Ferguson, both of Fort Smith, Ark.; son, Bill Hooper of Andrews; mother, Helen Weemes of Andrews; brothers, Merle Willey of Brownwood and Bobby Willey of Midland; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Christine Butler

WACO - Christine P. Butler, 92, of Arvada, Colo., a retired Odessa school teacher, died Saturday, April 7, 2001, in Lakewood, Colo.

Graveside services were Friday at Waco Memorial Park. Arrangements by Olinger Wadsworth Mortuary.

She was born in Evant.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Howard Young Butler of Wheat Ridge, Colo., and Paton Butler of Austin; daughter, Linda Brew of Bemidji, Minn.; sister, Marie White of Austin; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Wade Hash

DICKENS - Wade William Hash, 97, of Odessa, a retired cotton farmer, died Monday, April 16, 2001, in Odessa.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Dickens cemetery with T.A. Cowan officiating. Arrangements by Campbell’s Funeral Home.

He was born in Park Springs and was a resident of Odessa since 1993.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Frances Hash of Odessa; son, Burl Wade Hash of Framingham, Mass.; daughters, Barbara Thompson of Lake Como, Fla., Margaret Green and Kathryn Boone, both of Odessa; sister, Gladys Dillard of Decatur; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Felicita Huertas

MONAHANS - Felicita Huertas, 72, of Monahans, a homemaker, died Wednesday, April 18, 2001, at her residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.

She was born in Pecos and was a resident of Monahans since 1957. She was Pentecostal.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Pascual Gomez, Abel Huertas, Manuel Huertas, Osvaldo Huertas, Arturo Huertas, Eddie Huertas and Sammy Huertas, all of Monahans; daughters, Mary Valenzuela and Sally Whitfield, both of Monahans, Ofelia Pacheco of Amarillo, Elia Jones of Jonesboro, Lydia Rodriguez and Amelia Sanchez, both of Crane; brother, Cipriano Gomez of Pecos; sisters, Ramona Salcido and Flavia Salazar, both of Pecos, Anna Lerma, Felipa Carrillo, Connie Aguilar, Gracie Gomez, Ofelia Garcia, Vicki Gomez and Sylvia Reynolds, all of Odessa; 36 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Patsy Marshall

NEW ORLEANS - Patsy Jane Marshall, 60, of New Orleans, a homemaker, died Saturday, March 31, 2001, at Doctors’ Hospital in New Orleans.

Memorial services were April 3 at First Christian Church. Arrangements by United Funeral Home.

She was born in Fort Stockton and had been a longtime resident of Odessa. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Sisters, Betty Jones of New Orleans, Diana Marshall of Odessa, Sonja Roy of Lawton, Okla., and Kim Dunn of Fort Worth; and brother, Lewis Marshall of Odessa.

Antolina Paredez

BIG SPRING - Antolina Paredez, 94, of Big Spring, a homemaker, died Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at a local hospital.

Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. James Plagens officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Nalley-Pickle and Welch Rosewood Chapel. Burial will be at Mount Olive Memorial Park. Arrangements by Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home.

She was born in Chihuahua, Mexico. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Son, Guadalupe Paredez of Big Spring; daughter, Carmen Lara of Goldsmith; 28 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Rose Raschke

CARLSBAD, N.M. - Rose Gordon Iness Raschke, 70, of Carlsbad, N.M., a retired grocery store owner, died Sunday, April 15, 2001, at her residence.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Denton-Funchess Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brad Reimers officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park. Arrangements by Denton-Funchess Funeral Home.

She was born in Pioneer and had been a resident of Odessa. She was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Son, Cary Iness of Odessa; daughter, Rose Boatman of Carlsbad; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Ysidra Sais

MONAHANS - Ysidra "Nana" Acosta Sais, 80, of Monahans, a homemaker, died Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at Ward Memorial Hospital in Monahans.

Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John’s Catholic Church with the Rev. John Lucido officiating. Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. today at Harkey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at the Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.

She was born in Balmorhea and was a resident of Monahans since 1944. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Son, Ricardo Sais of Monahans; daughter, Gloria Sais Sanchez of Monahans; brother, Santiago "Jimmy" Sais of Pecos; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Robert Smith

HOUSTON - Robert Benny "Black Jack" Smith, 53, of Houston, a laborer, died Monday, April 9, 2001, at LBJ Hospital in Houston.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Harris County cemetery. Arrangements by Santana Funeral Home.

He had been a resident of Odessa.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Eric Bennett of Granbury, Robert Morris of New Mexico and Leonard Martin of Odessa; sisters, Michelle Jones Eaglin of Houston and Ella Mae Jones of San Antonio; brothers, Milton Jones of Huntsville, Laner "Spudnick" Jones of Childress and Melvin Jones of Odessa.

Rene Thompson

DENVER CITY - Rene G. Thompson, 64, of Denver City, a homemaker, died Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at Lakeside Covenant Hospital in Lubbock.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Denver City Church of Christ with Skip Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow at the Plains cemetery in Plains. Arrangements by Ratliff Funeral Home.

She was born in Seagraves. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Son, Terry Thompson of Yantis; daughters, LaGaytha Fitzgerald of Ransom Canyon and LaFonda Trantham of Anton; brother, James Stewart of Lubbock; sisters, Laura Fitzgerald of Wolfforth, Leta Georgioupoulos of Albany, N.Y., and Jean Murray of Kerrville; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
