ODESSA - R.A. “Slim” Weber Jr., 74, of Gardendale, a retired heavy equipment operator, died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at Hospice House.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with the Rev. Charles Thornton officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Center City cemetery in Goldthwaite. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was born in Utopia and had been a resident of Hondo. He was an Army veteran.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Susie Marks Weber of Gardendale; daughter, Tanya Weber of Carlsbad; and sisters, Jonell Reasonover and Mary Anderson, both of San Antonio.

ODESSA - Jesusita Maria Huerta, 85, of Odessa died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services are pending with Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.

ODESSA - Debra Kirkland, 25, of Odessa died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at her residence.
Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

ODESSA - Cecil “Gene” Turner, 58, of Odessa died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.

ODESSA— Elton Ray Harber, 41, of Odessa, a truck driver, died Thursday, July 5, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Rose Hill cemetery with the Rev. Weeks Dubose officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Hobbs, N.M., moved to Odessa in 1983.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Diane Harber of Odessa; sons, Coby Ray Harber of Wyoming and Evan Ryan Harber of Odessa; daughters, Meagan Brackin and Maya Harber, both of Odessa, and Nichole Harber of Wyoming; brothers, Bob Harber of Odessa and Dale Harber of Denver.

Opal Howard
ODESSA - Opal Howard, 84, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Sunday, July 8, 2001, at Avalon Place.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Belmont Baptist Church. Arrangements by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in Willow, Okla., and moved to Odessa in 1950.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Wayne Howard of Odessa; sons, Rodney Howard and Paul Howard, both of Odessa; brother, Thurman Dobson of Levelland; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

ALPINE - Lucia Ramos Ramirez, 74, of Alpine, a homemaker, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2001, at her home.
Visitation is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Geeslin Funeral Home in Alpine. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today at the Catholic church in Alpine. Funeral mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday with Father Tony Celino officiating, with burial at the Holy Angels cemetery. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.
She was born in Knox City. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Jose Sotelo Ramirez of Alpine; sons Hector R. Ramirez, Sr. and Joe Luis Ramirez, both of Alpine; sisters, Eusebia Ramos of Reno, Nev., Paubla Munoz of Odessa, Carrie Alvidrez of Las Vegas, Nev., Ramona Parras of Alpine, Eulalia Portillo of Alpine and Manuela Cobos of Alpine; brother Juan Ramos of Alpine; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

ODESSA— Lovella Marie Teston, 70, of Odessa, a retired waitress, died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Hill cemetery with the Rev. Weeks Dubose offficiating. Arrangements by Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Electra and moved to Odessa in 1940. She was a Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Robert Teston of Odessa, Donald White of Grosebeck and Billy Rose of Austin; daughters Gracie Jones and Brenda Ally, both of Odessa; brother, Earl Israel of Dallas; 16 grandchilren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
