ANDREWS — Bessie Welch, 75, of Andrews, a retired employee of the Andrews Senior Citizen Center, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Andrews North cemetery with the Rev. Kerry Tilley officiating. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
She was born in Denton. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
SURVIVORS: Sons, David Welch and Douglas Welch, both of Andrews; sisters, Hazel Hughes of Andrews and Ida Craddock of Elk Grove, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

LAKE DALLAS — E.C. Carter, 77, of Irvington, Ill., a retired business owner, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2001, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia, Ill.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Swisher cemetery. Arrangements by Irvin Funeral Home.
He was born in Oklahoma. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Neta Carter of Irvington; son, Ron Carter of Midland; daughter, Debi Holmes of Centralia; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Sherwin Evans
RANKIN — Sherwin Evans, 65, of Rankin, a retired employee of Halliburton Co., died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, at Rankin Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Medley officiating. Burial will follow at the Rankin cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
He was born in Brownwood and was a resident of Rankin for 36 years. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Barbara Evans of Rankin; sons, Sherwin Lynn Evans, Coy Evans and Danny Evans, all of Rankin; daughters, Carolyn Evans and Deanna Goff, both of Rankin; brother, Thomas Charlie Garrett Jr. of May; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Orville Logan
MARFA — Orville Roland Logan, 91, of El Paso, a retired employee of the United States Postal Service, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, at an El Paso hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Marfa cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Eldorado and had been a resident of Marfa. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Tokia Lee Logan of El Paso; and daughter, Vicki Pfeifer of El Paso.

Newman Quinn
DE LEON — Newman Alton Quinn, 92, of Midland, a retired service station operator, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2001, at De Leon Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Nowlin Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Skaggs and Jackie Auvenshine officiating. Burial will follow at De Leon cemetery. Arrangements by Nowlin Funeral Home.
He was born in Comanche County and moved to Midland from De Leon. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, James Quinn of De Leon; daughters, Margaret Lightfoot of Odessa and Maxine Skaggs of Midland; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Eulalio Rodriguez
ALPINE — Eulalio “Lalo” Taylor Rodriguez, 58, of Alpine, a ranch hand, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, in Odessa.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with the Rev. Rick Ruiz officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Geeslin Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at will be at Holy Angels cemetery. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.
He was born in Alpine.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Dora R. Albritton of Nacogdoches and Eulalia M. Rodriguez of Austin; sons, Gilbert M. Rodriguez of Nacogdoches and Clint M. Rodriguez of Bossier City, La.; sisters, Graciela R. Franco and Juanita R. Lujan, both of Alpine, and Frances R. Hernandez of El Paso; and brother, Enrique T. Rodriguez of Alpine.

ODESSA — Jose Chavez, 51, of Odessa died Monday, Oct. 15, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.

ODESSA — Serenity J. Alexander, an infant, was stillborn Sunday, July 22, 2001, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

ODESSA — Carol Ann Conlin Brewer, 54, of Odessa, a food service worker, died Saturday, July 21, 2001, at her residence.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Rose Hill cemetery with the Rev. Robert L. Bratcher officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Baird and moved to Odessa in 1955 from Monahans. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Son, John Dale Brewer of Kermit; mother, Carolyn Conlin of Odessa; father, John F. Conlin Sr. of Odessa; brothers, John Conlin Jr. and Jimmy M. Conlin, both of Odessa; and seven grandchildren.

Lola Fine
MONAHANS — Lola Marie Fine, 91, of Monahans, a homemaker, died Sunday, July 22, 2001, at Monahans Managed Care Center.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Monahans Memorial cemetery Pavilion with Gary Fine officiating. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.
She was born in Nottinghill, Mo., and was a resident of Monahans since 1933. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Chester Fine of Monahans and Billy Fine of Del Rio; daughter, Sharon Novian of Waco; 15 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

FORT STOCKTON — Tomas Garcia Galindo, 94, of Fort Stockton, a retired rancher and farmer, died Sunday, July 22, 2001, at Fort Stockton Nursing Center.

He was born in Manuel Benavides, Mexico.

ODESSA — Nancy Ruth Hawkins, 57, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Monday, July 23, 2001, at her residence.

She was born in Houston and moved to Odessa in 1950. She was Baptist.
