Susana L. Aguirre
ODESSA - Susana L. Aguirre, 73, of Odessa died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital. She was born May 24, 1928, in Candelaria, Texas, to Susano and Librada Lopez. After her father’s death, she was raised by her mother and stepfather, Braulio Corrales.
Rosaries will be said Sunday and Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors and a funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. with Father Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Pallbearers will be Joseph and Jeremy Marquez, C.J., Lucas, Robert and Eric Aguirre.
She grew up in Marfa, where she met and on May 24, 1948, married
Carlos S. Aguirre Jr. She was a homemaker and rancher’s wife. They moved to Odessa in 1959. They made Odessa and a ranch near Van Horn their home since then. Mrs. Aguirre was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Odessa and Our Lady of Fatima Church in Van Horn. She was also a member of La Guadalupana Society.
Mrs. Aguirre was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Delfin and Pablo Lopez. She is survived by husband Carlos S. Aguirre, Jr. sons, Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Aguirre, Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Aguirre III, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Aguirre, and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Aguirre, all of Odessa; and by daughters Mary Lou and husband, Louis Pasillas of Pecos, Mary Hilda Aguirre Santiago of El Paso, and Rosemary Aguirre Santiago of Odessa; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Baudelio Martinez Hernandez
MIDLAND - Baudelio Martinez Hernandez was born Feb. 11, 1923, in Providencia, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Quirino Hernandez and Estefana Martinez Hernandez. He married
Trinidad Loera on Dec. 21, 1946, in Mexico.
Mr. Hernandez was preceded in death by his parents, his children, Sgt. Jesus L. Hernandez, Graciela Hernandez and Imelda Hernandez and a sister, Maria Figueroa of Hereford, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Trinidad Hernandez of Midland; his children, Gloria Malacara and her husband Roberto, Antonio Hernandez, Rose Suchil and her husband Santiago, Marta Hernandez, Julie Chavez and her husband Rene, and William Hernandez and his wife Kathleen; brothers, Rosalio Hernandez of Odessa, Jose Hernandez and Juan Hernandez of Dallas; Gustavo Hernandez, Reynaldo Hernandez and Efrain Hernandez of Midland; sisters, Manuela Hererra of Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Ofelia Silva, Guadalupe Rodriguez and Felisitas Ramos of Chihuahua, Chihuahua.
Mr. Hernandez passed away Saturday, March 16, 2002, in a Midland Retirement Home.
A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2002, in Ellis Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2002, in San Juan Catholic Church with Reverend Nelson Pinzon officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview cemetery under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Javier Malacara, Jose Malacara, Mario Quintela, Jr., Marcus Quintela, Jose Primera, Justin Primera, Daniel Suchil, Gerardo Suchil and Jesus Hernandez.
Mrs. Ida Mae Biehler
KERRVILLE - Mrs. Ida Mae Biehler, 91, of Kerrville passed away Sunday, March 10, 2002, at a Kerrville nursing center. A lifetime resident of Kerr County, she was born Dec. 15, 1910, in Hunt to the late Christopher Columbus “Lum” Alexander and Minnie Mae Lock Alexander. She was a retired restaurant cook.
Ida Mae was a charter member of Motley Hills Baptist Church. She was a devoted Christian, a teacher of Sunday school and a living example of her faith. She was a loving and lasting wife and mother and will be remembered as “Aunt Sissy” to her nieces, nephews and others who loved her so well. Ida Mae was a guide, a comfort and gracious friend to all who were fortunate enough to know her, visit her house and sit at her table.
Survivors include a daughter, Millie Bell of Kerrville; sister, Ilene Van Kirk of Ingram; brother, Elmer Lee Alexander of Arcata, Calif.; two grandchildren, Thomas Lee Bell of Santa Ana and John William Bell of Orange County; four great-grandchildren, Jason Thomas Bell, Jessica Rae Bell and Tessa Raeann Bell and Anna Leigh Bell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Biehler in 1984.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 13, 2002, at Grimes Funeral Chapels with the Rev. Al Shults officiating. Interment was followed at Garden of Memories cemetery.
Memorial remembrances may be made to Motley Hills Baptist Church, 2001, Singing Wind Drive, Kerrville, Texas, 78028, or to the charity of one’s choice.
Loy B. "Spud" Minica
ODESSA - Loy B. “Spud” Minica, age 77, of Odessa died Friday, March 15, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born Dec. 6, 1924, in Mullin.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today, March 17, 2002, in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with the Rev. Dr. Jimmy Braswell officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Loy served in the Navy on the USS Enterprise from 1943 to 1946. He married
Lucille Urbantke on July 17, 1946. They moved to Odessa, and he worked for Electric Service and Construction for 25 years. He then opened his own company, Dynamo Electric, and operated it until his retirement in the early 1980s. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Loy loved football and watching his grandchildren in their sports and accomplishments and going to coffee with friends and VFW members. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille; and brothers, Albert Minica and Jack Phillips.
Mr. Minica is survived by a son, Milton Minica of Long Beach, Calif.; daughter, Deborah Payne and husband Gary of Odessa; grandsons, Gary Payne and wife Stacy of Arlington and Chad Payne and wife Tracy of Odessa; granddaughter, Melissa Payne of Killeen; great-grandchildren, Britni, Micailie, Hannah, Brayden and Brooke Payne; brother, R.Z. Minica and wife Jerry of Andrews; sister-in-law, Ruby Phillips of Odessa; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers will be Chad Payne, Gary Payne, Mitchell Phillips, Dickie Payne, Gary Payne and Gayl Payne.

Evelyn M. Gaddy
KERMIT - Evelyn M. Gaddy, 79, of Kermit, passed away Friday, March 15, 2002, in Odessa. She was born March 4, 1923, in Temple, Texas.
Memorial services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2002, at Westminster Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Bob Sams and Cheryl Homsher officiating. Family interment services will be held in Kermit, Texas under the direction of Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gaddy was a former bookkeeper for the Odessa Chamber of Commerce and secretary to the Odessa Chuck Wagon Gang, a homemaker and member of the First Presbyterian Church in Kermit. Mrs. Gaddy enjoyed fishing, golf and traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Howard Gaddy of Kermit, two daughters, J’Nevelyn Melton and her husband, Larry, of Odessa and Cindy Pass of Dallas; one son, J.T. Pass and his wife, Carolyn, of Aledo, Texas; one stepson, Phil (Chuck) Gaddy and his wife, Maurine, of Indianapolis, Ind.; one step-daughter, Leigh Brendel and her husband, Bill, of Victoria, Texas; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Jo Anne Maddox, her caregiver.

Nola Bigham
LOVINGTON, N.M. - Nola E. Bigham, 98, of Odessa, a retired teacher, died Monday, March 18, 2002, at Parks Methodist Retirement Village.
Services will be at 1 p.m. MST Friday at Smith-Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Smith officiating. Burial will be at Antioch cemetery. Arrangements by Smith-Rogers Funeral Home.
She was born in Oklahoma. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Frankie Skinner of Odessa; brother, David Stanbro of San Angelo; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Bill Crowder
OZONA - Bill Crowder, 70, of Ozona, a retired employee of Shell Oil Co., died Monday, March 18, 2002, at a San Angelo hospital.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Ozona Church of Christ. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today at the McCamey cemetery. Arrangements by Preddy Funeral Home.
He was born in Garland, Ark., and had been a resident of McCamey. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Daughter, Beth Ann Crowder of Ozona; son, John Daniel Crowder of Ozona; sister, Bitsie Burns of Mansfield, La.; brothers, Elvis Baker of Texarkana, Ark., and Tim Smith of Haughton, La.; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson.
Jose Fuentes
PECOS - Jose Orona Fuentes, 91, of Pecos, a retired employee of the Texas Department of Transportation, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002, at his residence.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with the Rev. Ben Flores officiating. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery. Arrangements by Peaceful Garden Funeral Home.
He was born in Toyahvale and was a lifelong resident of Pecos. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Martha Maynez Fuentes of Pecos; sons, Juan Ray Fuentes of Bakersfield, Calif., Pedro “Pete” Fuentes of El Dorado, Calif., and Cesar Fuentes of Fort Steward, Ga.; daughters, Linda Rodriguez and Barbara “May” Landers, both of Vallejo, Calif., and Enedina “Dina” Tarango of Denver; brother, Antonio Fuentes of Loving, N.M.; sister, Felipa Garcia of Muleshoe; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Henry Goulet
MIDLAND - Henry Edward Goulet, 80, of Midland, retired owner of Goulet Refinishing Co., died Sunday, March 17, 2002, at a Midland hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with the Rev. T.J. Murphy officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
He was born in Fall River, Mass. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Son, Edward “Skipper” Goulet of Odessa; and stepson, John M. Webb of Borger.
Durwood Hudson
ODESSA - Durwood Cook Hudson, 76, of Odessa, a retired self-employed barber, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Kyle Rodgers officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Abilene and moved to Odessa in 1948 from McCamey. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Claudine Hudson of Odessa; daughters, Claudia Anderson of Bastrop and Cathy Thomason of Odessa; sister, Tommie Dean of Lufkin; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Jim James
ODESSA - Jim A. James, 65, of Odessa, retired owner of JSM Drilling Co., died Monday, March 18, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Griffin Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Spur and moved to Odessa in 1963. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Nell “Nana” James of Odessa; sons, Danny James and Lann James, both of Odessa; daughter, Sabrina Jones of Odessa; brothers, Bill James of Mansfield and Joe James of Brownwood; sisters, Odell Howton of Duncan, Okla., and Marciel McAlpin of Abilene; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
