ODESSA - Dorothy “Dot” Etheredge, 69, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at her residence.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with Dr. H. Bailey Stone officiating. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was born in Cisco. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Darwin Etheredge of Odessa; daughter, Lane Carson of Odessa; son, Jay Etheredge of Austin; sisters, Blanche McDaniel of Odessa and Tylene Osborn of Santa Monica, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Victoria Galindo
MIDLAND - Victoria Benavides Galindo, 78, of Midland, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, at her residence.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. today at Reyes-Garcia Chapel. Burial will be at Fairview cemetery. Arrangements by Reyes-Garcia Funeral Home.
She was born in Manuel Benavides, Mexico, and moved to Midland in 1965 from Alpine. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Ruben Galindo and Efrain Galindo, both of Midland, and Armando Galindo of Irving; daughters, Vickie Navarrette and Rosa Carrasco, both of Midland, and Martha Garcia of Irving; brother, Manuel Benavides of Fort Stockton; 24 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.

Marvin Graham
GREENWOOD - Marvin “Clayte” Graham, 75, of Midland, a retired employee of Rexene Polymers/Burlington Northern in Odessa, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, at a Midland hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Greenwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Waymond Swoopes officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland. Arrangements by Pipkin Funeral Home and Chapel.
He was born in Coahoma. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Midge Graham of Midland; son, Marvin Allen Graham of Broken Arrow, Okla.; daughters, Linda Ann Welch of Odessa and Brenda Jean Chandler of Houston; brother, Roy H. Graham of Greenwood; sisters, Betty Burrow of Irving, Anna Beth Zachry of Greenwood and Joyce Lucas of Midland; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Raul Herrera
ODESSA - Raul Ramirez Herrera, 50, of Odessa, a truck driver for Salmon and Sons Trucking Co., died Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston.
Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Rodriguez officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
He was born in Coyame, Mexico. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Christina Ramirez of Odessa; sons, Antonio Herrera, Raul Herrera Jr. and Jose Herrera, all of Hobbs, N.M.; daughters, Guadalupe Herrera of Hobbs and Christina Herrera of Odessa; brothers, Abel Herrera, Juan Herrera Jr. and Alfonso Herrera, all of Odessa, Oscar Herrera of Chihuahua, Mexico, and Arturo Herrera of Houston; and sisters, Rosa Navarrete, Irma Gutierrez, Concepcion Carrillo and Socorro Herrera, all of Odessa.

U.W. Johnson
COLEMAN - U.W. “Johnny” Johnson, 90, of Coleman, a retired sales manager, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, at Coleman County Medical Center in Coleman.
Memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church of Coleman with Dr. Dean Coultas officiating. Burial will be at Talpa cemetery. Arrangements by Walker Funeral Home.
He was born in Anderson County and had been a longtime resident of Odessa. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Forrest Johnson of Coleman; son, John Johnson of El Paso; sister, Jessie Lee Brewer of Coleman; and brothers, Kelly Johnson of Albuquerque, N.M., and Hubert Johnson of San Angelo.

Kimberly Marsh
ODESSA - Kimberly S. Marsh, 24, of Dallas, a sales clerk, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, in Dallas.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Fort Hood.
SURVIVORS: Parents, James T. Marsh of Portales, N.M., and Chil Sun Marsh of Odessa; brothers, James O. Marsh of Odessa and Benjamin K. Marsh of Shreveport, La.; and sister, Crystal M. Marsh of Odessa.

Pablo Martinez
ALPINE - Pablo Flores Martinez, 80, of Alpine, a retired employee of the Texas Highway Department, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, at an Alpine nursing home.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with the Rev. Mike Alcuino officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at the church. Burial will be at Holy Angels cemetery. Arrangements by Geeslin Funeral Home.
He was born in Terlingua. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Esperanza Martinez of Alpine; daughter, Sylvia Martinez Portillo of Monahans; sons, Ruben Paul Martinez of El Paso, Joe Albert Martinez of Seminole, Ervey Martinez of San Diego and Armando Martinez of Odessa; sisters, Concha Martinez, Teresa Martinez, Lupe Vega and Josepha Hernandez, all of Alpine; brother, Elias Martinez of Odessa; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Estella Mendoza
DENVER CITY - Estella Mendoza, 43, of Denver City, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at Covenant Lakeside Hospital in Lubbock.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Williams Catholic Church with the Revs. Glen Rosendale and Jessie Esquivel officiating. Burial will follow at Denver City Memorial Park. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home.
She was born in San Antonio and moved to Denver City in 1961 from San Antonio. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Jesus Mendoza of Denver City; son, Eric Perez of Denver City; daughter, Melissa Perez of Denver City; stepson, Christian Mendoza of Denver City; parents, Odulia and Baltazar Galvan Sr. of Denver City; brothers, Baltazar Galvan Jr. and Joe Galvan, both of Denver City, Johnny Galvan of Falls City and Ricky Galvan of San Angelo; sister, Belinda Pena of Denver City; and two grandchildren.

ODESSA - Thelma L. Montgomery, 81, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Crescent Park Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Ardmore, Okla., and was a longtime resident of Odessa and Midland. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Frank Montgomery of Casper, Wyo., and Steve Montgomery of Conroe; daughters, Carolyn Thurmond of Conroe and Julia Watters of Odessa; brothers, Matthew “Sonny” Nelson and Jack Nelson, both of Odessa; sisters, Gwen Edwards of Brady and Grace Gobber of Abilene; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Manuel Porras Jr.
MONAHANS - Manuel Porras Jr., 52, of Monahans, an auto mechanic, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at Memorial Hospital and Medical Center in Midland.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Harkey Funeral Home Chapel with Michael May officiating. Burial will be at Tamarisk cemetery in Grandfalls. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.
He was born in Grandfalls and was a resident of Monahans since 1967. He was a member of the Church of God.
SURVIVORS: Brother, Jesus Porras of Monahans; and sisters, Rita Morales of Jal, N.M., Socorro Velasquez, Ramona Ochoa and Belen Porras, all of Monahans.

Ruth Shrader
MIDLAND - Ruth Shrader, 85, of Midland, a homemaker, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at a Midland hospital.
Services will be at 1 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with Dr. Gary Dyer and the Rev. Bob Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
She was born in Ralls and was a resident of Midland since the mid 1950s. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Leon Shrader of Midland; and son, Newton Shrader of Midland.

Ruby Steinhauer
ODESSA - Ruby June Steinhauer, 72, of Odessa, a retired nurse, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
No services are scheduled. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was born in Sunbright, Tenn., and moved to Odessa in 2001 from Houston.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Jerry Steinhauer and William Steinhauer, both of Odessa, Russell Steinhauer and Ben Steinhauer, both of Houston; brothers, David Freels of Odessa and Sam Houston Freels of Houston; sisters, Ernestine Adams and Betty Ramsey, both of Odessa, Joyce Laub of Midland and Marilyn Freels of Houston; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
