McCAMEY — Veta Ruth Tompkins, 81, of McCamey, retired owner and operator of White’s Auto, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002, in Lubbock.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Eastside Baptist Church with the Rev. Murry Sauders officiating. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Hamlin East cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
She was born in Royston and moved to McCamey in 1945. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Billie Adams of Snyder and Jean Anne Dawson of Larissa, Greece; sons, George Tompkins and Jack I. Tompkins, both of Houston; brothers, Jack Phillips of Lubbock and Benson B. “Hack” Phillips of Dallas; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

MARFA — Ronald Nelson Webb, 54, of Marfa died Monday, Jan. 7, 2002, at his residence.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Daniel Armstrong officiating. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Marfa.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Cherry Webb of Alpine; sons, Lance Nelson Webb of Boulder, Colo., and Aaron Nelson Webb of Austin; daughters, Lacey Thee of Monahans and Amy Valenzuela of Alpine; sister, Darlyne Freeman of Durant, Okla.; and three grandchildren.

Dewey Williams
FORT DAVIS — Dewey G. Williams, 76, of Fort Davis, a retired rancher and assistant supervisor for Elcor Chemical Co., died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002, at an Alpine hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Hillcrest cemetery with the Revs. Don Robertson and Alan Byrd officiating. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
He was born in Brownwood. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Presbyterian.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Virginia “Ginny” Williams of Fort Davis; son, Michael Dewey Williams of Valentine; daughter, Tana Jeanne Williams Stringfellow of Jacksonville, Fla.; sisters, Daphine Dorothy Taylor of Brownwood and Sylvia Riggs of Del Rio; and four grandchildren.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Richard Dee Talley, 47, of North Carolina died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002, in Fayetteville, N.C.

ODESSA — Juan Hernandez Espinoza, 74, of Odessa, a rancher, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Floro Hinacay officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.
He was born in Coyame, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Aurora Espinoza of Odessa; and sister, Josephina Espinoza of Coyame, Chihuahua, Mexico.

Catalino Jaramillo
SEAGRAVES — Catalino Jaramillo, 85, of Seagraves, an auto mechanic, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, at Covenant Lakeside in Lubbock.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Templo Sendero De La Cruz with the Rev. Ovidio Martinez officiating. Burial will follow at Seagraves cemetery. Arrangements by Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.
He was born in Barstow. He was a member of the Sendero Assembly of God.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Domingo Jaramillo of California, Trinadad Jaramillo and Israel Jaramillo, both of Lubbock, Paul Jaramillo of Hobbs, N.M., Casar Jaramillo Jr. of Austin and Martin Rodriguez of Seagraves; daughters, Juana Ybarra of Pecos, Maria Jaramillo of Wickett, Lucy Rosales of Lubbock, Le Nora Gonzales of Seagraves and Irene Jaramillo of Post; sisters, Catalino Gonzales and Candie Jaramillo, both of Medesto, Calif., Sara Rodrigez of Lubbock and Andrea Jaramillo of El Paso; 39 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.

ANDREWS — Jack Mosley, 69, of Andrews, a retired El Paso Natural Gas employee, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, at Midland Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Barnes and Kay Lindsey officiating. Burial will be at Andrews North cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.
He was born in Alvord. He was a Marines veteran of the Korean War.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Patsy Mosley of Andrews; sons, William Mosley of McCamey, Victor Mosley of Andrews and John Mosley of Midland; daughter, Lisa Mosley Mouser of Andrews; brother, John Floyd Mosley of Alvord; sisters, Bobbyie Barkley and Jatha Huchison, both of Alvord; and eight grandchildren.

CRANE — Elizabeth “Betty” Myers, 75, of Austin, a retired Veterans Administration employee, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, at her home.

She was born in Colorado Springs, Colo.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Glyn R. Myers of Austin; son, Roger Dutton of Lake Stevens, Wash.; stepson, Billy Ray Myers of Kermit; daughters, Brenda Meng of San Jose and Nancy Waidelich of Austin; stepdaughters, Doris Tarpley of Crane and Glynda Taylor of McCamey; one grandchild; 18 step grandchildren; 44 step great-grandchildren; and one step great-great-grandchild.

TOMBALL — Robbie Melissa Pokorny, 88, of Tomball died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002.

STANTON — Jesusita Sanchez, 80, of Stanton, a homemaker, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2002, at Stanton Care Center.

She was born in Presidio and was a longtime resident of Stanton.

He was born in Fort Stockton.
