Simone Williams
FORT DAVIS — Simone Williams, 75, of Fort Davis, a homemaker, died Thursday, May 16, 2002, at a private care center in Fort Davis.
Mass will be celebrated at noon today at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Rick Ruiz officiating. Burial will follow at the Fort Davis Community Church cemetery. Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home.
She was born in New York City and moved to Fort Davis in 1987. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Denise Hancock of Spring, Marie Jefferson of Fort Stockton, Teresa Faulkenberry and Carolyn McCollom, both of Midland, and Christine Thompson of Sabinal; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Mickey Bailey
ODESSA — Mickey Bailey, 53, of Odessa died Friday, May 17, 2002, at the Hospice House.
Services are pending with Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Jaime Rodriguez
LUBBOCK — Jaime Rodriguez, 38, of Pecos died Thursday, May 16, 2002, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
Services are pending with Pecos Funeral Home.

Ruth Elizabeth Rose
ODESSA — Ruth Elizabeth Rose, 77, passed away, Friday, May 24, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital.
She was born Aug. 25, 1924 in Ranger, Texas. She later married Robert Odell Rose in Ranger, Texas, in March of 1940.
She was a dental assistant for Dr. Clark for many years. She was a member of Church of Christ in Odessa.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Odell Rose of Odessa; two sons, Richard Rose and wife Janis of Midland, and Jimmie Lee Rose and wife Vie of Fort Davis; one daughter, Patsy Rose of Munster, Texas; one brother, Joe Kirk Dorsey; and one grandchild, Allison Rose.
Services are schedule for Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at 10 a.m. at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Lynn Money will officiate.Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Josh Crawford
ODESSA — Josh Crawford, 81, of Odessa, passed away Friday, May 24, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital. He was born Feb. 11, 1921, in Electra, Texas. He married Rosemary Bougher Aug. 5, 1987, in Odessa.
Mr. Crawford moved to Odessa in 1957. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked as a repairman of oilfield equipment for Whipco Service & Repair and retired this year from Kelly Tool Works after 10 years of service. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion. He was a Methodist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Hazel Crawford in 1981 and sister, Elaine Boatright.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Crawford of Odessa; son, Sandy Crawford of Katy, Texas; stepson, Robert E. Thiry of Chadron, Neb.; stepdaughter Rosemary Nussey of Chadron, Neb.; sister, Charlene Sexton of Wichita Falls; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 27, 2002, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel. A military graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2002, at Rose Hill cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
Services entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Dennis Russel
ODESSA — Dennis went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at the age of 41. He came into this world June 20, 1960, in Englewood, Calif. His parents are Beulah (Vi) Mae Mixon and Richard Franklin Russell.
He married Juanita Russell on April 27, 1982. They celebrated their 20th anniversary this year. To that union there were three daughters born, Tasha, Samantha “Sammi” and Shelby, all of Odessa.
In all his years, he never met a stranger. He entertained many with his love, kindness and friendship.
In his passing he left behind five brothers, Ricky of California, Glen of Louisiana, Ronald Jo of Arizona, Todd of Texas and Shaun of Arkansas.
He spent most of his life pulling mobile homes. He spent some time in the Marines. All his time was devoted to being a daddy, a husband and a great friend to many.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at Faith Tabernacle Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow at the Ector County cemetery, Rose Hill section.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dennis Russell Fund No. 234342 at Complex Community Federal Credit Union.
Services have been entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

John Booty
ODESSA — John Bernard Booty, 76, died Friday, May 10, 2002, in Odessa.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors Chapel. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was born in Nacogdoches.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Ana Booty of Odessa; sons, John Booty Jr., Wallie Booty and Geroge Villacorta, all of Odessa, and Robinson Villacorta of Virginia; daughters, Phyllis Lucas of Oklahoma, Lucy Gray of California and Natalia Villacorta; and four grandchildren.

Amalia D. Gonzales
AUSTIN — Amalia D. Gonzales, 80, of Austin, died Wednesday, May 8, 2002 in Austin.
Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Burial will be at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park. Arrangements by Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Funeral Home of Austin.
She was born in Big Spring.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Louis P. Gonzales of Austin; daughters, Marcella Keller and Suzanne Williams, both of Austin; sons, Louise Gonzales Jr. and Randy Gonzales, both of Austin; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Hubert Lampkin
MONAHANS — Hubert Lampkin, 79, of Monahans, a construction laborer, died Saturday, May 11, 2002, at his residence.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Light Church of God in Christ. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Family Funeral Services of Monahans.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Leatrice Jewell Brown and Patsy R. Edmunds, both of Big Spring; and one grandchild.

Vicente Palma
SHEFFIELD — Vicente Palma, 19, of Sheffield, a carpet cleaner, died Sunday, May 12, 2002, in Pecos County.
Mass will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with the Rev. Henry Laenen officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Sheffield. Burial will follow in the Sheffield cemetery. Arrangements by Shaffer-Nichols Funeral Home.
He was born in Iraan. He was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Parents, Christino and Andrea Palma of Sheffield; grandparents, Faustino and Belia Rodriguez of Sheffield and Augustine Palma of Presidio; sisters, Rosa Esela Palma of San Angelo, Christina Palma of Dallas and Maria Elena Palma of Wylie; brothers, Lorenzo Palma and Omero Palma, both of Sheffield.

Elijia Zuniga
PECOS — Elijia Melendez Zuniga, 91, of Pecos, a homemaker, died Saturday, May 11, 2002, at her residence.
Mass will be celebrated at 12 p.m. today at Santa Rosa Catholic Church with the Rev. Ben Flores officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood cemetery. Arrangements by Peaceful Garden Funeral Home.
She was born in Ruidosa. She was Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Son, Eutiquio Zuniga of Pecos; daughters, Ausencia Fuentes of Pecos, Maria Cantu of Kermit and Candelaria Chavez of Austin; 21 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Monte Arledge
MONAHANS — Monte Arledge, 61, of Monahans, a waste water operator, died Friday, May 10, 2002, in Monahans.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Stephen Swisher officiating. There will be no burial. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.
He was born in Del Rio and was a resident of Monahans since 1980. He was Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Henrietta Arledge of Monahans; son, Shane Arledge of Guymon, Okla.; daughters, Shawn Hughes of Laurens, S.C., and DeAnne Arledge of Austin; mother, Will Arledge of San Angelo; and five grandchildren.
