ODESSA - Lois French, 68, a homemaker, died Monday, Nov. 3, 1997, at her residence.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Westover Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Wright officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.

She was born in Menco, Okla., and was a resident of Odessa.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Roy French of Odessa; sons, David French of Granbury and Randy French and Carrol French, both of Abilene; daughters, Joann French of Odessa, Linda Thorp of Junction, Charon Fisher of Azle and Charlotte Flora of Cleveland, Texas; 25 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Donald Hargitt

MEADE, Kan. - Donald Lee Hargitt, 67, a retired electrical lineman and construction worker, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 1997, at his residence in Meade.

Services were held Monday at the United Methodist Church in Meade with the Rev. Jim Bush officiating. Burial was at the Graceland cemetery. Arrangements by Fidler-Orme Mortuary.

He was born in Gove County, Kan., and was a resident of Odessa before moving to Meade, Kan., two years ago. He was a Navy veteran.

SURVIVORS: Sons, Donald Lee Hargitt Jr. and Darrell Ray Hargitt, both of Wichita, Kan., and Michael Wayne Hargitt of Meade, Kan.; daughters, Vickie Lynn Gregg of Gilmer and Dawn Hargitt and Misty Hargitt, both of Meade, Kan.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Patricia Hargitt

MEADE, Kan. - Patricia Ann Hargitt, 58, a homemaker, died Friday, Oct. 31, 1997, at the Meade District Hospital in Meade.

Services were held Monday at the United Methodist Church in Meade with the Rev. Jim Bush officiating. Burial was at the Graceland cemetery. Arrangements by Fidler-Orme Mortuary.

She was born in Ingalls, Kan., and was a resident of Odessa before moving to Meade, Kan. two years ago. She was a Methodist.

Manuel Hernandez

MONAHANS - Manuel C. Hernandez, 71, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.

Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Harkey Funeral Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Catholic Church in Monahans. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.

He was born in Presidio and had been a resident of Barstow since 1944. He was a Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Son, Manuel Hernandez Jr. of Dallas; daughters, Delma Diaz of Odessa and Elfida Ramirez of Monahans; brothers, Julian Hernandez of Monahans and Antonio Hernandez of Pecos; sisters, Amelia Morales of Andrews and Maria Jesus Madrid of Monahans; and five grandchildren.

Francis Johnson

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Francis L. 'Swede' Johnson, 93, a retired electrician, died Friday, Oct. 31, 1997, in Odessa.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Sunset Memorial Park with the Rev. Randy Walquist officiating. Arrangements by French Mortuary.

He was born in Ogden, Iowa, and had been a resident of Odessa for five years. He was a Methodist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Harriet Johnson of Odessa; daughter, Lorrayne Reynolds of Albuquerque, N.M.; stepson, Rowland Tessier of Comfort; stepdaughter, Sandra Mock of Odessa; brother, Morris Johnson of Sigourney, Iowa; sister, Harriet McCarl of Lakeland, Fla.; three grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild.

Marshall Simmons

LAS VEGAS - Marshall Lynn Simmons, 58, a self-employed janitor, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 1997, at Sunrise Mountain View Hospital in Las Vegas.

Private services will be held. Arrangements by Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society.

He was born in Vivian, La. He was a former resident of Odessa and a 20-year resident of Las Vegas. He was a Jehovah's Witness.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Barbara Simmons of Las Vegas; sons, Frandel Simmons, Michael Simmons, Andrel Simmons and Shardick Simmons, all of Odessa; daughter, Dianna White; mother, Eileen DeJulio of Odessa; brother, Leonard Simmons of Odessa; and 11 grandchildren.

Bernice Sutton

ODESSA - Bernice Sutton, 82, a homemaker, died Friday, Oct. 31, 1997, at New Horizon Nursing Center.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Revs. A.L. Patrick and H.A. Bowens officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.

She was born in Carthage and was a resident of Odessa for 52 years. She was a Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Rev. Roscoe Sutton of Odessa; sons, Eskee Lee Sutton and Lee Edward Sutton, both of Odessa; and daughters, Bobbie Jean Sutton of Longview and Shirley Deboskie of Dallas.

Corene Daniels

ODESSA - Corene Daniels, 94, of Odessa died Sunday, Nov. 2, 1997, at New Horizon Nursing Center.

Funeral arrangements are pending with Odessa Funeral Home Angeles Memorial Chapel.

Ida Clough

RANGER - Ida Deeon Clough, 69, a homemaker, died Monday, Nov. 3, 1997, in Ranger.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sherry Ellinger officiating. Burial will be at Merriman cemetery.

She was born in Wink and had been a resident of Ranger since 1984. She was a member of the Assembly of God.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Harold Lloyd Clough of Ranger; son, Eric Deen Clough of Dallas; daughters, Carol Ann Lance and Regina Lynn Chance, both of Odessa; and three grandchildren.

Maria Gonzales

ANDREWS - Maria Gonzales, 84, a homemaker, died Monday, Nov. 3, 1997, at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with the Rev. Bernard Gulley officiating. Burial will be at Andrews West cemetery. Arrangements by McNett Funeral Home.

She was born in Sanderson and moved to Andrews in 1952. She was Catholic.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Estela Galvan of Fort Stockton, Maria Galvan of Sanderson, Lucia Langford of Graham, Elizabeth Garcia of Andrews and Sylvia Gonzalez of Houston; sister, Juanita Alvarez of Sanderson; 20 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

H.K. Henniger

LUBBOCK - H.K. Henniger, 68, director of training of SPAG Law Enforcement Academy, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 1997, at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Sunset Church of Christ in Lubbock with Revs. Cline Paden and Tommy Allison officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements by Resthaven Funeral Home.

He was born in Winters and was a resident of Lubbock. He was an Army veteran.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Dora Henniger of Lubbock; daughters, Ginger Henniger and Joy Plank, both of Lubbock, and Julie Blair of Dallas; sister, Maydell Burrous of Crane; and four grandchildren.

Evadne Lewis

ODESSA - Evadne June Hatawey Gordon Lewis, 92, a homemaker, died Monday, Nov. 3, 1997, at her daughter's residence.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Lincoln Towers with the Rev. Frank Lasater officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial Park. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

She was born in Magnet, Neb., and moved to Odessa in 1981 from Grandfalls.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, Rose Raschke and Johnnie Maxey, both of Odessa; sister, Sybil Hoover of Stockton, Calif.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
