H.C. McElyea, age 90, of Floydada, passed away, Sunday, March 22, 2015 in Lubbock. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Floyd County Memorial Park in Floydada with Pastor Henry Russell officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Moore Rose Funeral Home Floydada.

Bobby J. St. Clair
May 18, 1940 - December 27, 2014

Bobby J. St. Clair, age 74, passed away, Saturday, December 27, 2014 in Lubbock. Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Experience Life Church in Lubbock. Arrangements are under the care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.

Cynthia Nell Younger
March 12, 1952 - December 11, 2014
Odessa, Texas

Cynthia Nell Younger, age 62, passed away, Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Silverton with Reverend Rance Young officiating. Interment icon will follow at the Silverton cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home.

She was born March 12, 1952 to Billy Mack and Mavis Joyce (Ware) Rackley in Lubbock. She married Roger Wayne Younger on July 25, 1980 in Lubbock and was the owner of the Malt Shop. She graduated from Wolfforth High School in 1969 and attended Lubbock Community College. In 2005, she graduated from Clarendon College in Clarendon with a nursing degree.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Younger, parents, sister, Rhonda L. Rackley, two brothers, Wayne R. and Glendon V. Rackley, and a grandson, Connor James Page.

She is survived by her son, Martin Younger of San Antonio; daughter, Tyra Page and husband Casey of Odessa, sister, Brenda J. Rackley of Lebanon, MO and granddaughter, Ashlynn Faith Page.

Donaleta Garrison
December 6, 1923 - January 30, 2015
Silverton, Texas

Donaleta Mae Seaney Garrison was healed from Alzheimer's disease on Friday, January 30, 2015 when she passed from this life at Hospice of the Southwest in Amarillo, Texas. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 1, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Silverton with Pastor G. J. Walton officiating. Burial will follow in the Silverton cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Moore-Rose Funeral Home.

Donny was born on December 6, 1923 in Beckham County Oklahoma to George and Agnes Seaney. She traveled with them in a covered wagon in December 1924 to the Silverton, Texas area. She attended both Alexander and North Ward country schools before transferring to Silverton School in 1937 and graduating in 1941. After attending Draughan's Business School in Lubbock, she married Pascal Garrison in Spur, Texas on May 23, 1942. They made their home in Silverton until Pascal was called to serve in the US Amy. With his being stationed stateside, Donny and their baby daughter were able to live near him for the time he served. Returning to Silverton, they were in partnership with her parents in the hardware business for a year before beginning to farm and ranch. Donny was a very able homemaker and also helped Pascal in any way she could with his work. She was a great cook, graceful dancer, talented quilter, kept a beautiful yard and was a faithful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family is grateful for the many favorable traits she taught them. Many will remember her for her sweet smile and personality. She was an active member of First Baptist Church for more than 70 years. She and Pascal celebrated 69 years of life together in Silverton before moving to Amarillo for health care in February of 2012. The family celebrated their 70th anniversary with them that May at the care facility where they lived at the time. Later that year health issues necessitated their being in separate facilities. Pascal passed away on March 2, 2014.

Donaleta was also preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Cecil Seaney and her son-in-law, Gordon Lowrey.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Lowrey of Silverton and her son, Max Garrison and Kay of Amarillo; five grandchildren: Angie Smith and Joe Kirk of Shallowater, Shavonne George and Jeff of Tulia, Walt Garrison and Jennifer of Canyon, Frank Lowrey and Crystal of Canyon, and Cody Garrison and Reagan of Granbury; eight great-grandchildren: Dakota Smith of Lubbock, Brennen and Gentry George of Tulia, Brayden Welch, Braxton Lowrey and Greg Garrison of Canyon, and Molly and Graham Garrison of Granbury. Included in the family is foreign exchange student and special son, Johann Bull-Njaa, from Oslo, Norway who lived with them in 1964-65.

The family wants to express extreme appreciation to the wonderful care givers at The Cottages, Ussery-Roan Texas Veteran's Care Center, and Ware Memorial Care Center as well as those from Hospice of the Southwest.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to Garrison-Elrod Scholarship, c/o First Baptist Church, PO Box 600, Silverton TX 7925; Silverton cemetery Association, PO Box 795, Silverton TX 79257 or the charity of your choice.

Carolyn Belle Williams
January 25, 1941 - March 16, 2015
Floydada, Texas

Carolyn Belle Williams, age 74, of Petersburg, passed from this life on Monday, March 16, 2015 after a short illness. Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the First United Methodist in Floydada with Ken Peterson officiating. A family gathering will happen after the service at the church. Arrangements are under the care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.

Carolyn was a long time resident of Harmony Community, Carloyn found the love of her life when she met and married Leon Williams in 1989, which resulted in 26 years of happiness, laughter and love. She loved family gatherings, trips with Leon, the occasional penny slot gambling spree (which she invariably lost at but had a good time feeding the beasts anyway; she couldn't figure out how it was that Leon always won), the grandkids, Goober the family dog, and indulged Leon's passion for collecting classic cars. Carolyn worked for 6 years at the Petersburg Coop before becoming office manager/accountant at Petersburg Gin where she worked until her retirement in 2008. She will always be remembered as a lady with a ready smile and huge heart, and those who knew and loved her will miss her sorely but we know that we will meet up with her again.

She is survived by her husband, Leon Williams; 2 daughters, Carrie Alexander and Stacy Alexander; a son, Craig Alexander; 3 step children, whom loved her as a mother; Brent Williams and wife Tammie, and daughters, Daralyn Jiron and husband Mark and Kimber Williams, Theal and husband James, grandchildren, Kendra, Kyla and Kolton Jiron, and Justin and Jason Williams.

Mildred Juanita Keaton
December 17, 1927 - April 8, 2015
Lockney, Texas

Mildred Juanita (Williams) Keaton, 87, of Lockney, went to her Heavenly rest on Wednesday, April 8, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 11 at the West College and Third Church of Christ with Earle McDonough officiating. Interment icon will follow at Resthaven cemetery in Lubbock at 3:30 P.M. Arrangements are under the care of Moore Rose Funeral Home of Lockney.

Mildred was the daughter of William R. "Tab" Williams and Irene (Putman) Williams. She was born Dec. 17, 1927 in Dickens County and graduated from Patton Springs High School in 1945 then attended Texas Technological College in the spring of 1946. She married the love of her life, Claude C. Keaton, April 20, 1946. They spent some time in California but settled in Lubbock in 1948. She worked for Farm Pac and Sears but most of her work was as a housewife, mother and grandmother. She was one of the founding members of the Women's Auxiliary for the Lubbock Police Department in the 1950s. Mildred was also involved in the PTA and as a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. Mildred and Claude enjoyed traveling with their trailer and attending arts and crafts shows. Mildred was a member of the West College and Third Church of Christ since moving to Lockney in 2007. While in Lubbock, she was a member of the Kings Ridge Church of Christ and the Third and Temple Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude; her parents; a sister, Francell; and a nephew, Glenn.

She is survived by one son, Charles and wife, Donna Keaton of Lockney; three grandchildren, Charissa and husband, Cory Golden of Littlefield, Rusty Keaton of Lewisville and Kami and husband, Tim Miller of Seagraves.; four great grandchildren, Taryn, Rhealee and Graceson Golden of Littlefield and Taytem Miller of Slidell, LA; one nephew, Scott and wife, Debbie Young of Hot Springs, AR., one niece-in-law, Betsy Young of Carrollton and a host of cousins and friends.

The family suggests memorials to the Lockney Senior Citizens Center, PO Box 82, Lockney, TX 79241.

Dennis Ray Gallington
December 4, 1952 - September 25, 2014
Silverton, Texas

Dennis Ray Gallington, age 61, of Silverton, passed away, Thursday, September 25, 2014. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Silverton with Johnny Black III officiating. Interment icon will follow at the Silverton cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Quitaque.

Dennis Ray (Catman) Gallington was born to the late Joe and Elzora Gallington on December 4, 1952 in Silverton, Tx. He attended school in Silverton, Tx where he was active in baseball and basketball. After a courageous battle with cancer at Covenant Hospital (palliative care) in Lubbock. Dennis was called home on September 25, 2014. Living in Dallas most of his life, he worked various jobs and was a very dedicated worker. It was here where he became a member of Holy Spirit Baptist Church. In April 2013 Dennis moved back home to Silverton.

Two brothers preceded him in death; Coy and Ira (Skip) Gallington.

He leaves to cherish his memories three daughters; Leticia and Mateka Crosslin of Ft. Worth, Tx, Deequita Howard of Plainview, Tx, and ten grandchildren. Dennis is survived by six sisters; Irene Adams of Kansas City, Mo, Zeola Taylor and Bertha Gallington of Quitaque, Tx, Viola Black and Edna Nelms (Napoleon) of Dallas, Tx, Virginia Clardy of Plainview, Tx, one brother; Carl Dean Gallington of Dallas, Tx, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Cynthia Dianne Gardner
January 3, 1957 - August 24, 2015
Floydada, Texas

Cynthia Dianne Gardner, age 58, passed away, Monday, August 24, 2015. Memorial Service will be 4:00 p.m., Friday, August 28, 2015 at Primera Iglesia Bautista with Pastor Toby Gonzales officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.

Christina Aleman
December 5, 1944 - January 8, 2015
Lubbock, Texas

Christina Samora Aleman, age 70, passed away, Thursday, January 8, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Floydada with Father Ike Temporaza officiating. Interment icon will follow at the Floydada cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Floydada.

Christina was born on December 5, 1944 in Luling, Texas to Martin and Benita (Hernandez) Samora. Christina enjoyed watching TV and shopping. She loved to be in the kitchen and cook. What she loved the most was spending time with her friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Martin and Benita Samora, Abel Aleman, Sr. and 3 brothers.

Christina is survived by 2 sons; Abel Aleman and wife Martha of Lubbock, Adan Aleman and wife Cindy of Amarillo, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
