Alexis Faith Warmke
Alexis Faith Warmke, 1, of Somerville, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, November 2, 2014. She was born on August 7, 2013 in Temple, TX. Services are set for Friday, November 7, 2014 at First United Methodist Church in Somerville, Texas at 2 p.m. Visitation will be Thursday, November 6, 2014 9 a.m.-8 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville. Alexis was Dada’s “Little Catfish” and Mama’s “Little Hero.” She had an infectious smile and everyone who was in her presence was graced by this sweet little girl. Although her journey on earth is over, her memory will live on in the hearts of many and will never be forgotten. She will continue to wear big bows and tutus in heaven while working on her fishing skills. She is preceded in death by her Great-grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and numerous Cousins. Survivors include her father, Jeffery Dale Warmke, SR., mother, Teresa Gill, brothers, Jeffery Dale Warmke, JR., Justin McCoy Warmke, sisters, Angel Destiny Warmke, Payton Renee Jones, Paige ReAnn Jones, grandparents, Jenny and Warren Warmke, Lisa and Martin Mcgehee, Debbie and Wayne Gill. Almarie Beatrice (Tincy) Picone
Almarie Beatrice (Tincy) Picone, 97, of Brenham and the widow of Joe Picone, died October 26, 2014 at Kruse Village. Left to cherish her love and dedication are: son Joe Al Picone and wife Merle; daughter Jo Lynn Smith and husband Pat; grandchildren Kyle Picone, Kevin Picone and wife Stacy, Tanya Thomas and husband Jarred, and Brittni Dimitt; great-grandchildren Landry Picone, Taylor Thomas, Jace Thomas, Victoria Thomas, Wyatt Dimitt, and Parker Dimitt; sisters-in-law Nell Picone and Bette Picone; special nieces Charlesette Polk and Wanda Buntzel who did so much for her, and numerous other nieces and nephews. Visitation with the Picone family will be from 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, October 31 at Brenham Memorial Chapel. Funeral services for Almarie Beatrice (Tincy) Picone are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 1, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Brenham with Rev. David Ottsen officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Lions Clubs International Foundation, Hospice Brazos Valley, or the charity of your choice. Funeral services are in the care of Brenham Memorial Chapel, 2300 Stringer St., Brenham.

Martha Agnes Lanford
Martha Agnes Lanford, 83, of Brenham, died October 24, 2014, at her residence, surrounded by her family. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, Oct.26 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday. The funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Msgr. Benedict Zientek, celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Harold Lanford of Brenham; daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Albert Kitowski, Rebecca and Jon Cherry and Carol Lanford, all of Brenham; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and John Chovanec of Brenham; brother and sisters-in-law, Edward and Lillian Kwiatkowski, Gale Kwiatkowski and Shirley Kwiatkowski, all of Brenham; sister-in-law, Delores Dyson of Brenham; brother-in-law, Charles L. Lanford of Arlington; grandchildren, Jon Paul and wife Meghan Cherry, Albert Kitowski IV, Jessica Kitowski and Steven Cherry; great-grandchildren, Damian Cherry, Michael Cherry and soon-to-be great-granddaughter, Lily Marie Cherry. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives; special friends, Kenneth and Betty Little; and beloved pets, Jake and Scooter. Special thanks goes to caregiver, Sherry McGregor McDonald, Hospice Brazos Valley and Dr. William Loesch. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Edmond “Sonny” Bilski; brothers Pete Kwiatkowski, Jr. and Tado Kwiatkowski; sisters, Marie Kwiatkowski and Regina Kwiatkowski. Bernice Mullins
Bernice Mullins, 96, of Brenham, widow of Melburn Mullins, died on October 25, 2014 at her home. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at Hempstead Cemetery with Reverend Sam Duree officiating. Visitation with the family and friends will be on Monday, October 27 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law; Doug and Cindy Mullins of Huntsville, daughter and son-in-law; Linda and Paul Pipes of Brenham; sister Faye Mewis of Bellville; grandchildren; Dana Lynn Pipes Sweeney and Tricia Dee Pipes Bingham, great-grandchildren; Paul Edward Sweeney, Grace Catherine Sweeney, Isabella Rose Bingham and Clara Morgan Bingham. Corinne Rudloff
Corinne Rudloff passed away October 21, 2014 in Brenham. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Bonnie Rudloff of Shelby; grandchildren Rachel and Brian Kubala, Beldon and Jennifer Rudloff, and Cliff and Marissa Rudloff. Great-grandchildren Reid, Bradon, and Jake Kubala; Rylee and Colton Rudloff; and Dawson and Hailey Rudloff; sister-in-law Pearl Torrence; and numerous nieces and nephews, and her numerous good friends. She was preceeded in death by her husband, parents, sister, sister-in-laws, and brother-in-laws. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Friday Oct. 24 in St Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby, with Pastor Art Weiss officiating. Interment will follow in the Shelby Cemetery. Visitation will be at Memorial Oaks Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00pm Thursday, October 23. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.

Cervera Klingsporn
Cervera Klingsporn, 93, widow of Harold Klingsporn, died October 17, 2014 in College Station. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Pat Lehrer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Monday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Survivors include her son, William James Klingsporn and fiancé Karen Siegel of Long Point; grandchildren: Meredith Kay Klingsporn of Houston and her fiancé Grant Alan Stuart, and William August Klingsporn, M.D., of Houston; nephew Terrance (Terry) Korthauer and his children April and Kurt Roemer, and their child, Reagan; Brittany Caldwell and her child Brynn; niece Grace Korthauer of Katy; nephew and niece Fred and Janice Rau, and their children: Stacy and Trey Hardy and children, Jenna, Leah, and Luke and Dane and Melonie Rau and children Kade, Brady and Nate. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold Klingsporn, and brother, Milton Korthauer. Funeral arrangements for Cervera Klingsporn are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.

John Alvin Schmidt
(June 30, 1929 - February 2, 2012)
Funeral services for John Schmidt, 82 of Giddings, Texas, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin, Texas with Rev. John Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, 2012 from 11:00 a.m until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. The family will be present for visitation Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Mr. Schmidt passed away during the early morning hours of Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Country Care Plex in Giddings.
John Alvin Schmidt was born on June 30, 1929 in Serbin, Texas to Bernhardt & Emma (Jurk) Schmidt. He was baptized on July 7, 1929 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin by Rev. Herman Schmidt and confirmed by Rev. Herman Schmidt on April 18, 1943 also at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin. John was united in marriage to Anna Schulze on November 8, 1953 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fedor, Texas by Rev. Theodore Schmidt. John was a retired carpenter and had volunteered with the Lutheran Braille Center for over 20 years. He enjoyed woodworking, refinishing furniture and playing dominoes.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anna Schmidt; sisters, Erna Mersiovsky, Alice Schmidt, Ruth Lehmann and Clara Schmidt and brothers, Rudolph Schmidt, Theodore Schmidt, Carl Schmidt and Martin Schmidt.
John is survived by his son, James & Brandy Schmidt of Dayton; daughter, Nancy Schmidt of Austin; four grandchildren, Taylor Diaz, Sidney Diaz, Adriana Diaz and Alen Diaz all of Dayton; great grandson, Lieum Aungiano of Dayton; sister, Renata Mersiovsky of Temple; brother, Edwin & Gertrude Schmidt Sr. of Northrup; sister-in-law, Gertrude Schmidt of College Station as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Edwin Schmidt Jr., Kenny Mersiovsky, Dwayne Schulze, David Schmidt, Jack Montgomery and Alen Diaz.
Memorials may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church Restoration Fund, 1572 CR 211, Giddings, Texas 78942.

James Harold Yarber
James Harold Yarber, 81, husband of Barbara (Bains) Yarber, died October 9, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m., Sunday, October 12, 2014 at First Baptist Church, 504 E. Strauss St., Bellville, Tx., with burial to take place in the National Cemetery in Nelsonville. Rev. Mike Criner and Rev. Ronnie Yarber will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Survivors include his wife of 60 years Barbara of Bellville; daughters Belinda Ozuna of Taylor; Theresa Schulz and husband Randy of College Station, and Debra Makowsky and husband Kennneth of Brenham; grandchildren Chris Ozuna and wife Lisa, and Sarah Ozuna; great-grandchilden: Atreyu Daniel Ozuna, and Madison Gonzalez; sister Ruth Ann Saladiner of Houston, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ross Yarber, and a sister, Mary Zell Skinner. Funeral arrangements for James Harold Yarber are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.

Lorene Jeanette Hegar
Lorene Jeanette Hegar, 89, of Hockley, mothers of Peggy Jones and Patsy Barrett, passed away October 5, 2014 in Brenham. Lorene is survived by her daughters Peggy Jones (Isaac) Barrett of Bellville, and Jamie Jones of Dallas; great grandson Derrick Jones of Lubbock; sister-in-law, Gloria Pfeffer of Bellville and brother-in-law Alfred “Boots” Hegar of Hockley, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Tuesday, October 7, 5:00-8:00pm at the Schmidt Funeral Home in Bellville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, October 8, at St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville with Pastor Andrew Bell officiating. Interment will follow in the Roberts Cemetery in Hockley, TX., Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the St. John Lutheran Retreat Center, 520 North Holland, Bellville, TX 77418 or to the Bellville VFD, 106 South Holland, Bellville, TX 77418. Lillian Marie Rose (Worchesik) Konieczny
Lillian Marie Rose (Worchesik) Konieczny, 65, of Brenham, widow of Clement Konieczny, died Oct. 3, 2014, at Scott and White Hospital in Brenham. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, the rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. with a vigil to follow. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brenham with Msgr. Benedict Zientek, celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Brenham. Survivors include her sons, Donald Konieczny and wife Shelly of Houston and Daniel Konieczny and special friend Allison Farrington and her son Curt of Brenham; daughter, Doris Konieczny of Brenham; grandchildren, Evan Konieczny and Anna Konieczny; brothers, Felix and Thelma Worchesik of Houston, Sylvester and Lillian Worchesik of Houston and Dominic Worchesik of Hempstead; sisters, Theresa Bilski and special friend Billy Dean Koerth of Burton, Hedwig Konieczny and husband Raymond of Hempstead, Frances Majewski and husband David of Brenham, Dorothy Meleski and husband Benard of Cypress and Florence Browne and husband Malcolm of Houston; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Leonard and Clarice Konieczny; and sister-in-law, Adelene Konieczny. Alfred “Freddie” Herrmann
Alfred “Freddie” Herrmann, 73, of Cypress, TX, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Houston, TX. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nina Herrmann; sons, Tim, Gary and Tracy; daughters-in-law, Lisa, Jackie and Jill; grandchildren, Ryan, Garrett, Luke, Landon and Logan; his sisters and brothers-in-law: Allyne Weiss, Lillie Watkins, Evelyn Maurer, and Alton Sommerfield, and Karl and Sue Hoff; sisters-in-law, Kathy Carroll, Margie Mertz, and Virginia Herrmann; and countless nieces and nephews and their families, and many wonderful friends. Visitation for Alfred Herrmann will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, October 3 at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham, TX, and the funeral service will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, October 4 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Cypress, TX with Rev.
