Lorine Rudloff Eckermann
Lorine Rudloff Eckermann passed on August 9, 2015 at the age of 86 years, 3 months. She was a lifetime resident of western Austin County from birth on May 9, 1929. After more than 84 years of near excellent health and viability, she passed from age-related complications in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan, Texas. Lorine was a member of the Methodist Church. This faith affiliation was the constant center of her life. It began in Haw Creek from birth, and continued in Industry until now. She participated actively in nearly every role of this church at one time or another. All her children were baptized and confirmed there. Lorine taught religious education for many years, and attended the women’s group events with many friends; including the annual “Secret Friend”. In addition to rearing a large family, Lorine contributed strongly to the founding of Eckermann’s Meat Market in circa 1960; and performed substantial contributions to the operations of this business for more than 50 years. With a heavy work schedule being normal, she always found time for family and friends. She lived in a strong German culture and spoke German and English fluently. Lorine was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Eckermann, Sr. after marriage of 44 years; her parents Monroe and Toni Rudloff; brother Harold Rudloff and wife Bernice; orphan brother Elwood Schmidt; step son Lee Fred Eckermann and wife Deloris; and granddaughter Debra Budnik. She is survived by Joyce Mae and husband Carl Bridges; Allen Gene and wife Berta Eckermann; Daniel Charles and wife Karen Eckermann; Lawrence Dale and wife Marsha Eckermann; Buck Eckermann and wife Sue; and Arlie Bruce and wife Jennifer Eckermann. Also, she is survived by thirteen grandchildren, and one brother Oliver Rudloff and wife Waldine. The funeral will be Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the Industry United Methodist Church. Visitation will be at the same site on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Pallbearers are her grandsons. Christine Flentge Bentke
Christine Flentge Bentke, widow of Melvin Bentke, passed away peacefully in her home on August 6, 2015, at the age of 80. She is survived by her son, Bobby Bentke, and wife, Susi Bentke of Houston, son, Roger Bentke, and special friend, Patt Bartlett of Washington, daughter, Brenda Meadows, and husband Michael Meadows of Brenham and son, Mark Bentke, and wife, Sherri Bentke of Washington. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Richard Bentke and wife Min Sun Kim, Melanie Honeycutt and husband Chris McHone, Ryan Bentke and special friend, Heather Fife, Casey Rogers and husband, Billy Rogers, Sean Meadows and special friend, Stacy Iardella, Corey Bentke and fiance Sarah Peevler, and Colleen Bentke, and great-grandchildren Austin and Aaden Honeycutt and Madison and Bailey Rogers. Also surviving are brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Alma Place, Raymond and Verna Mae Bentke, Ervin and Jo Schultz, Rosie Bentke, Donna Bentke, and Dorothy Bentke, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Christine is preceded in death by her husband, her biological parents, her adopted parents, her daughter-in-law, Shelby Bentke, her sister and brother-in-law Ramona and James Bohannon, brothers Harold Flentge, Edmond Flentge, and Albert Flentge, Jr., and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Alvin and Leona Flentge and Willie and Laverna Flentge.; Brothers-in-law Alfred Bentke, Glenn Bentke, Bill Bentke, Herman Bentke; sisters-in-law Ida Kaechler and Lois Ruemke; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Herman Sr. and Emma Bentke. Funeral services for Christine Bentke are scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, August 10, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Prairie Hill, with Pastor Jim Abbott officiating. Burial will take place in Prairie Hill Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 7 p.m. Sunday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Funeral arrangements for Christine Bentke are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.

Ruby Puckett
Ruby Puckett, age 76 of Hempstead passed away on August 5, 2015. Visitation will be Sunday, August 9th, from 5:00 - 8:00pm. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 10th at 10:00am at Chappell Hill United Methodist Church with Pastor Dan Danheim officiating. Interment will be at 2:00pm Woodlawn Cemetery in Houston. Lillian Maria Schneider
(April 9, 1926 - April 7, 2012)
Funeral services for Lillian Schneider, 85 of Dime Box, Texas are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Old Dime Box, Texas with Rev. David G. Loeffler officiating. Burial will follow in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Dime Box. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, April 11, 2012 from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. The Schneider family will be present for visitation Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Lily "Lillian" Maria Leitko Schneider was born on April 9, 1926 in Dime Box, Texas to Robert & Esther (Moerbe) Leitko. She married George Schneider on January 9, 1947. Lillian worked with George at the Houston Astrodome for 20 years before retiring and moving back to Dime Box. She was a loving and devoted homemaker who enjoyed sewing, making homemade noodles, baking and cooking. Lillian was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she had been a member of the Ladies Aid.
Lillian passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2012 in Bryan, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 60 years, George; daughter, Regina Frith and twelve brothers and sisters.
Lillian is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stanley & Rita Schneider of Brenham; son-in-law, Ronald Frith of Austin; four grandsons, Joel Frith, Jeffrey Schneider, Kevin Schneider and Brandon Rankin; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Andrew Leitko of Bellville and Daniel & Joyce Leiko of Houston as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Schneider, Kenneth Pampell, Donald Leitko, Barry Leitko, Scott Leiko and Brian Leitko. Honorary pallbearer will be Newman Rankin.

Nelda Lanford
Nelda Lanford, 92, widow of Alvin Lanford, died August 4, 2015 in Katy, Texas. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with burial to follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Rev. Troy Key will officiate. Visitation will be prior to the service, from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Survivors include her children: Ruth Thomas, Evelyn Blakely, and Al and Tracey Lanford. Grandchildren: Karen and Randy Beard, Cathy and Keith LeJeune, Sherry and Steven Key, Brock and Trisha Thomas, Scott Lanford, and Elissa Boer; great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, Kendall, and Camden Beard, Joshua Blakely and Brittney and Brandon Higgins, Eiley Rowan Key, Ryan and Zachary Thomas, and Solomon Lanford; brother, Ted Duesterhoft, and wife Cheryl, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Nelda was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Doris Mae Duesterhoft; brother and sister-in-law, Gilbert and Annie Mae Duesterhoft, an infant granddaughter, Terri Jo Thomas, and great-granddaughter, Emma Claire Key. Funeral arrangements for Nelda Lanford are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.

James C. “J.C.” Mondrofsky
James C. “J.C.” Mondrofsky age 79 passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Scott & White Hospital-Brenham. J.C. is survived by his loving family-wife of 53 years Gladys, three daughters Lisa Wellmann and fiancé Ron Kuecker, Lori Winkelmann and husband Darrell, LaDonna Knode and husband Rodney; seven grandchildren-Jessica Wellmann and fiancé Brandon Bozon, Jon-Erik Coonse, Kristen Winkelmann and special friend Henry Porter, Jillian Scanlin and husband Garrett, Jay Winkelmann and special friend Ashley Nichols, Jacob Knode, and Wyatt Wellmann and his special Yorkie, Gretchen. Also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Deloris Mikeska, Edna Petzolt, Doris Siptak, Annie Mae Buerger, Floreen Schulze, Carolyn and Antone Kubeczka, Elois and Johnnie Eickenhorst; brothers-in-law Leroy Klump and William Peters as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation with the Mondrofsky family will be from 4-6 p.m., Sunday, August 3 in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial for J.C. Mondrofsky will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 4 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Brenham with Father Ernesto Elizondo as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Sarah Zimmermann
Sarah Zimmermann, 54, of Burton, Texas, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. Sarah Zimmermann is survived by sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and James Schulenberg of Burton, brother and sister-in-law Mark and Marsha Zimmermann of Bellaire, nieces and nephews Stephanie, Steven and James Jarvis of Austin, Susan and Jim Kiel of Burton, Samantha Schulenberg of Austin, Jason and Kyle Zimmermann of Bellaire, goddaughter Amy Jo Mutchler of Tomball, and beloved uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Visitation with the Zimmermann family will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Brenham Memorial Chapel. A celebration of life service for Sarah Zimmermann will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg. Pastor Denise Seymour will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul of Rehburg, Adam’s Angels, the American Diabetes Association or Hospice Brazos Valley. James Hart
(January 4, 1976 - February 3, 2012)
James Marshall Hart, born January 4, 1976 passed away February 3, 2012 at the age of 36. James met an unfortunate fate on December 31, 2011. The day started out to be a wonderful day and James was on top of the world when he set out on a motorcycle ride with his family. He went off the road and hit a pole, and was unable to overcome his injuries. He fought a courageous fight. Mother Ruby Laverne, brother Andrew Jacob and son Nathan Andrew welcomed him into the arms of Jesus. James was the second son of William Marshall “Mike” Hart and Ruby Laverne Moon; brother to Mark, Mikel, Andrew, Joe, Justin, and Brandi. James was married to Audrey Amanda Irle on January 15, 2000. James is the proud father of Nathan Andrew, James Benjamin, and Brandi Lee. He made his home in Edna Texas with Audrey, Ben, and Brandi. He was formerly of Giddings where he has family and friends. James was a proud father, brother and friend. He was a dedicated worker. His working career started as a young child, working with his father and brothers, mowing lawns, selling melons, and being a captain of a shrimp boat at age 12. James found his Passion in life at the age of 15 when he started heavy equipment operating. In his 21 year career in operating he worked his way up to Superintendent for L&P; Pipeline and Construction a company of Holloman Corporation of Ganado Texas. James was loved and will be dearly missed by many. His memory will live on in our hearts forever. We will celebrate his entry into the Kingdom of GOD on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Lions Den on Farm to Market Road 141 in Giddings, Texas. Memorials have been requested to be given to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.

Martha Lee (Lauter) Rodenbeck
Martha Lee (Lauter) Rodenbeck, 75, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 31, 2014 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church of Gay Hill, with Pastor Alan Kethan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Friday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Marlene Rodenbeck; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Mike Brau; grandchildren: Cullen Rodenbeck, Brooke Rodenbeck, Matt McLendon, Dillon McLendon, and Abby Brau; great-grandchildren: Mack Schwarze and Emma McLendon. Also surviving is a sister and brother-in-law, Mildred (DeeDee) and Don Smith, and a brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Karen Lauter; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Charlie and Bernice Rodenbeck, brother-in-law Elton (Pete) Rodenbeck, well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Sadie Lauter; parents-in-law Charlie and Lydia Rodenbeck; husband, Melvin Rodenbeck, and a son, Reggie Rodenbeck. Funeral arrangements for Martha Lee Rodenbeck are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
