Theodore “Tado” Kwiatkowski
Theodore “Tado” Kwiatkowski, 71 of Brenham and the husband of Gale Kwiatkowski passed away June 1, 2014 at his home. Tado retired from Brentex Mills after 36 years of employment. He was well known for his love of music and playing with many area bands for over 64 years. Tado is survived by: his loving wife, Gale of 49 years; his loving family: daughter, Sissi Wellmann and husband Mark; sons, Chip, Matt and wife Kelly, and Lenny and wife Laura; grandchildren, Ashley and Aaron Wellmann, Kylie Dasbach, Reagan and Jacob Kwiatkowski, and Alex, Joe and Hanna Kwiatkowski; brother and sisters-in-law, Edward “Shorty” and Lillian Kwiatkowski, and Shirley Kwiatkowski; sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha and Harold Langford, and Patsy and John Chovanec; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bill and Barbara Snearly, Norma and Bill Pollizzio and Jerry and Karen Snearly; many nieces and nephews. Visitation with the Kwiatkowski family will be Wednesday, June 4th from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. prayed by Deacon Bill Januszewski in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial for Theodore “Tado” Kwiatkowski will be at Thursday, June 5th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Msgr. Benedict Zientek as celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Hospice Brazos Valley or Washington County EMS. Douglas “Boots” Lorenz
Funeral services for Douglas “Boots” Lorenz husband of Roseanna Lorenz Baker will be held at Memorial Oaks Chapel Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Grave side service will follow immediately at Prairie Lea Cemetery with Rev. Pete Heaton officiating. Visitation will be held at Memorial Oaks Chapel Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Survivors include his wife, Roseanna Lorenz Baker of Washington on the Brazos; brother, Ben and Patricia Braun of Crockett, TX; sister, Margie and John Smallwood; sister, Ima Jean and Rusty Diller all of Houston; son, Michael Lorenz of Houston; daughter, Judy and Clark May of Houston; step-son, Michael and Michelle Murray of Johnston, OH; Dawn and Derrick Smith of Katy; grandchildren, Caprice and Chase Fuller; Nathan May; Steve and Nicole Huebner; Joseph and Britney Buckley; Terrill and Bridget Murray; Travis Murray, Cory and Rachel Smith; Andrew Smith; Christian Cook; great-grandchildren, Zakary Fuller; Madison Huebner; Alyssa Murray; Landon Buckley; Kenzley Buckley; and Jessie Murray. Other survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, Roseanna’s parents, Pops and Annabell Baker and Elaine Lorenz, mother of his children. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Louis and Minnie Lorenz; mother, Irene Braun; sister, Shirley Braun; daughter, Carol Sue Lorenz; and sister Patsy Bokemeyer. Adeline Boenker
Funeral services for Adeline Boenker are scheduled for 10 a.m., Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn, with Pastor Mark Moldenhauer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel from 6 until 8 p.m. Mrs. Boenker passed away in Navasota on June 1, 2014, at the age of 93. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law David (Buggar Red) and Pat Boenker of Washington; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Albin and Debra Finke of White Hall; grandchildren: Jody Matejicek of Anderson, Jennifer Matejicek of Anderson, and special friend, David Crenshaw, and Leslie and D. L. Groce of Snook; great-grandchildren: MacKenzie Groce, Taylor Groce, and Trey Groce. Adeline is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Theo Boenker, Jr., sister, Clara Finke, and sister and brother-in-law, Erna and Edwin Boenker. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.

Nancy Freeman Hughes
Nancy Freeman Hughes, 71, wife of Henry Walter Hughes III, passed away April 5, 2014, surrounded by her family, at the home of her son. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Thursday, April 10, 2014 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, with Father David Ottsen officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Survivors include her husband, Henry Walter Hughes III of Brenham; son and daughter-in-law Henry Wright “Bubba” and Kerry Hughes of Washington; daughters and sons-in-law Judith Carolyn “Judy” and Randy Kapchinski of Brenham, and Susannah and Edd Compton of Houston; grandchildren: Whitney Ann and Zach Wagner, Henry Wade Hughes, Heather Marie Kapchinski, and Virginia Dawn Kapchinski; one great-grandchild, Sydney Claire Wagner; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Herbert and Patricia Hughes of Brenham; sister and brother-in-law Jody and Alan Richards of Horseshoe Bay, TX. Other surviving relatives include Annie Lester, Herbert Scott Hughes, Kelley and Dana Hughes, O’Brien and Lori Hughes, Mike and Renee Leifeste, Jim and Chelyne Leifeste, Lacey Leifeste, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, N. W. “Dick” and Norma Freeman, parents-in-law Henry Waters and Maude Bess Hughes, a grandchild, Rachel Renee Hughes, and nephew, Patrick Spann Greenwood. Funeral arrangements for Nancy Freeman Hughes are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.

Anna Louise Williams
(October 14, 1923 - April 16, 2012)
Funeral services for Anna Williams, 88, of Lexington, Texas are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Lexington United Methodist Church in Lexington with Rev. Lance Richards officiating. A graveside service will be held Friday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. at Garden Park Cemetery in Conroe, Texas. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. The family will be present for visitation Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Mrs. Williams passed away the morning of Monday, April 16, 2012 at her home in Lexington.
Anna was born on October 14, 1923 in Houston, Texas to Howard Myron & Mary Ester (McGar) Kilmer. A graduate of Angleton High School, she was united in marriage to Gilbert Williams on November 3, 1943 in Houston. Anna was employed by the Red Rock Bottling Company, Margone Textile Company, did the accounting for the family farm, and was a loving and devoted homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, music, and reading.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two daughters, Patricia Webb and Cassandra Davidson; granddaughter, Cassandra "AnnaJeannette" Davidson; sister, Joyce Hoke and brother, Charles Kilmer.
She is survived by her children, Ann & Jerry Gundy of College Station, Gil & Margaret Williams of Patagonia, AZ, Ron Webb of Lubbock, Beckie & Carl Tanner of Houston, Ben Williams of Angleton and Jeanette Williams of Lexington; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, David Kilmer, and many nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Anna's grandsons.
The family wishes to express their thanks to Odyssey Hospice and to Josh Williams, her grandson and care giver.
Memorials may be made to the Lexington United Methodist Church Capital Fund or the charity of one's choice.

Lydia Warmke Winkelmann
Lydia Warmke Winkelmann, 96 of Brenham and the widow of Fred A. Winkelmann, passed away Monday, April 7, 2014 at Gazebo Terrace Convalescent Center. Her loving family includes: sons, Darrell Winkelmann, Fred L. Winkelmann and wife Bonnie all of Brenham. She was “Granny Winks” to grandchildren, Jeff Winkelmann of Brenham, Sara and Beth Winkelmann of Richmond, Ryan and Stephanie Winkelmann of Brenham, Laura and Ryon Jones of Uvalde, John Winkelmann and special friend Geneva Aguilar of Brenham; great-grandchildren, Dalton and Mallory Winkelmann and Ely Jones. Also surviving are numerous nephews and nieces. Visitation with the Winkelmann family will be Wednesday, April 9th from 5-7 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Funeral services for Lydia Warmke Winkelmann will be Thursday, April 10th at 10 a.m. at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Salem with Pastors Charles Parnell and Toby Burk officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be given to Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church. Patricia Ann Ehlert Schroeder
Patricia Ann Ehlert Schroeder, widow of Dennis Schroeder, passed away April 5, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill with Pastor David Hansen officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Leigh Anne and Jerome Cavner of Brenham; granddaughter, Samantha “Star” Cavner of Brenham; sister and brother-in-law Esther “Sue” and Dr. Robert Wernecke of Austin; mother-in-law Adela Schroeder, and numerous friends and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis, her parents, and a brother, Albert “Sonny” Ehlert III. Funeral arrangements for Patricia Ann Schroeder are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Esther Emma (Koehler) Schulz
Esther Emma (Koehler) Schulz, age 95+ years of Bleiblerville and the widow of Alvin R. Schulz Sr., passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2014 at Argent Court Assisted Living in Brenham. She is survived by her loving family, son and daughter-in-law, Alvin R. Schulz, Jr. and wife Judy of Bleiblerville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Vernell Lois and Allen Schubert of Industry, Diana Kay Krause-Lampe and Donald W. Lampe and Sandra Louise and Douglas Borchardt all of Brenham; grandchildren, Gregg and Candy Schubert, Scottie and Rachel Schubert, Rodney and Diana Schubert, Gina and Lee Miles, Dwayne and Kerry Schulz, Danny and Candace Schulz, Darrel and Lillian Schulz, Randy and Kami Krause, Kim Krause and special friend, Farrell Luedke, Kelly and Alan Hodde, Alison Borchardt, Justin and Kathleen Borchardt ; step-grandchildren Shannon and Keith Bullin and Matt and Michelle Lampe; great-grandchildren Angie and Nathan Grawunder, Brady and Jamie Schubert, Hunter Schubert and friend Devon, Lauren and Brady Lee, Lindsey Schubert, Jared Schubert, Clayton Schubert, Kinch Schubert, Glenn Miles, Jake Miles, Sean Schulz, Britani Schulz, Walker Schulz, Caroline Schulz, Aiden Schulz, Nicholas Krause, Kamryn Krause, Avery Hodde, Karter Hodde and Crosby Borchardt; step-great-grandchildren Bailey and Brad Bullin, Megan and Mason Lampe; Conner and Riley Hanley; great-great-grandchildren Jenna Lee, Layne Grawunder, Kailyn Schubert, Ava Lee and Whitley Grawunder; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Reverend Leslie and Margaret Schulz and sister-in-law Laverne Kalbow along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. William R. Felscher Jr. of Brenham passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014 in Houston, Texas. William Felscher Jr. is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Diana Lynn and Richard L. Folse of Dickinson, Texas, Cheryl Ann and J. Steven Williford of Houston, Texas; Grandson William R. Folse and wife Jennifer of Hitchcock, Texas; Granddaughters Jennifer Suzanne Folse of Dickinson and Kimberly Ann and Jessica Lynn Williford of Houston, Texas; Great-Granddaughter Della Grace Folse; Brother Woodville Felscher; Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Milton and LaRuth Flentge, Mary Tockhorn, Joyleen Felscher, and Helen Daunhaus, all of Brenham, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. Clara Fahrenkamp Benker, 94, passed from this life to be with the Lord on March 26, 2014 at Gazebo Terrace Rehabilitation Center in Brenham. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Friedens United Church of Christ in Washington, with Pastor Greg Felder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 until 7 p.m. Friday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Mrs. Benker was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and six sisters. Survivors included her two sons and daughters-in-laws: Gene and Janice Benker of Georgetown, and Larry and Rose Benker of Brenham; daughter, LaNell Langford of Washington; grandchildren: David Benker of Brenham, Chad and Melanie Benker of Brenham, Michael and Candice Langford of College Station, Chad and Tiffany Sanford of Round Rock, and Ralph and Christin Gonzales of Cedar Park; 13 great-grandchildren: Blake and Madeline Benker, Brock, Harley and Bailey Benker, Hunter Avila, Barrett and Elliot Langford, Sage and Skyler Sanford, and Aiden, Gavin, and Brooklyn Gonzales.
