MAARGARET VEST RUTHERFOORD
Margaret Vest Rutherfoord, 88 formerly of Radford, death by her three husbands, William C. Noblin, Edward C. Cassidy and James T. Rutherfoord. Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Noblin Schott of Chester; a brother, Buddy Vest of Radford; six grandchildren; two step daughters, Bettie Rutherfoord Crosswhite and Nancy Rutherfoord Crush. Memorial services will be held Thursday, December 4, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at The Presbyterian Church of Radford with Rev. Wendall Manuel officiating. Cemetery in Radford. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to The Presbyterian Church in Radford, 201 Fourth Street, Radford, Virginia 24141. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.

BILLY ELI BRYANT
DUBLIN - Billy Eli Bryant, 71 of Dublin, Entombment will be at 4:00 p.m. in the Mount Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Boone, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to either the Radford Church of Christ, Box 3236, Radford, Virginia 24141 or the Boone Church of Christ Building Fund, 130 Cool Woods Drive, Boone, NC 28607. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.

LORENA PHIBBS SCHRADER
PULASKI - Lorena Phibbs Schrader, age 92 of 1024 Dora Highway Born April 9, 1911 in Hillsville, Va., she was the daughter of the late Bertha Phibbs and Vauda Phibbs. She was a retired restaurant owner and food provider in many different restaurants in Pulaski. She was preceded in Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. Visiting will be anytime Wednesday after 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at seaglefuneralhome@psknet.com Arrangements by Thomas M. EDNA COX HANKS
DUBLIN - Edna Cox Hanks, of Dublin, death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Hanks, parents, J. J. and Zetta Cox, and brothers, Paul and Shirley Cox.
Surviving are: her children and their families, Bobby, Alice, Laura and Meredith Hanks, Gastonia, N. C.; Luther, Patsy Buckner, Dublin, and their son, Scott of Lynchburg, Va.; Randall, Sue and Randy Roope, Dublin; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Lucinda Cox, Arizonia; half-sister, Virgie Wright, Hillsville, Va.; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Olen “Edna” Hanks, Dublin, Mrs. Clarence “Sarah Lee” Hanks, Pulaski, Mrs. Shirley “Dovie” Cox, Allisonia, Va., Betty Swim, Princeton, W. Va.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, Dublin, with Les Pugh, Toby and Annaballe Turman (very special cousins to the family) and Rev. Steve Willis officiating. died Monday night, Dec. 1, 2003 at her home.

MONICA WALL BRUCE
PULASKI - Monica Wall Bruce, 83, of Pulaski born in Radford, on Oct. 2, 1920 and she was the daughter of the late Irene Saunders Wall and Thomas Arlington Wall. She was also preceded in Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the First United Methodist Church, Pulaski with Dr. Randy Frye officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood passed away Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003 at the Pulaski Community Hospital.

Frederick Wayne and Kathy Moye, Newbern, Mark E. and Crystal Moye, Newbern; ten grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; three sisters, Carol Wyrick, Dublin, Gladean Jessee, Ga., Kathleen Harvey, Flat Top, W. Va.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday 2 p.m. at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Clayton Sweet and Rev. Wayne Moye officiating. Cemetery, Newbern where the Pulaski VFW Post 1184 will conduct full military honors at the graveside.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski. The family will be meeting at the home of his son, Rev. Wayne Moye, Jones Point Drive (Baptist Camp Road), Newbern.
Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski is handling the arrangements for the family.

DAVID SAMUEL (SAM) REESE
PULASKI - David Samuel (Sam) Reese, 52, of Pulaski, went to join the Lord Sunday morning, Nov. 30, 2003. He was death by his mother and father, David W. and Barbara F. Reese, and brother-in-law, William Steele. Surviving are wife of 33 years, Carolyn Reese; son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Melissa Reese; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda R. and Fred Mitchell; two grandchildren, Casey and Samantha Reese; his sister, Katherine Steele; mother and father-in-law, John and Betty Gillespie; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Angie Gillespie; sister-in-law, Wanda Cress; eight nephews and one niece. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Thornspring United Methodist Church with Rev. Darlene Marshall. Burial will be at Thornspring United Methodist Church passed away Sunday morning Nov. 30, 2003 at the Pulaski Community Hospital. death. He was employed in the furniture industry for 43 years.
Surviving are: his sons, Charles Alan East, Dublin, Robin East, Dublin; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Jeanine and Ralph Christian, Draper; companion of 31 years, Elizabeth A. Martin, Draper; brothers, Garnie L. East, Sr. and wife Evelyn, Grahams Forge, James R. Burcham, Jr. and Enola Burcham, Dublin; sisters, Mary S. and Clarence Chinault, Dublin, Bessie C. and Jimmy Tickle, Draper, Gerri and Sam Collins, Wytheville; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with the Rev. Garnie East, Jr. officiating. Cemetery, Draper. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bobwhite Blvd. Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski is handling the arrangements. The family will be meeting at the daughter’s home (3504 Pine Run Road, Draper.)

CARLOS FRED MELTON
MAX MEADOWS - Carlos Fred Melton, 76, of Max Meadows, the Gunton Park Community, born in Wythe County May 8, 1927, son of the late William E. and Minnie Felts Melton. He was retired from the Radford Army Ammunition Plant, a Wythe County farmer for 50 years and a United States Navy veteran of World War II. He was preceded in Interment will be private. The family suggest that those who prefer may make memorial donations to Hospice of Southwest Va., 600 W. Ridge Road, Wytheville.
Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville, Va. is in charge of arrangements.

BEULAH POTTS CAMPBELL
BEAR, DEL. - Beulah Potts Campbell of Bear, Del., formerly of Dublin, left her loved ones on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003. death by her husband, George Campbell, two sisters, Lorraine Stanley and Margaret Moore, and by two brothers, Frank Potts and Odell Potts.
Leaving behind to cherish her memory are: her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Maxine Campbell, Townsend, Del.; sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Tommy Quesenberry, Dublin; two grandchildren, Amanda and Brian Campbell, Townsend, Del.; many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James Dunn and the Rev. Charles Farmer officiating. died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004 at Skyland Manor Nursing Center, Floyd, Va. She was preceded in passed away, Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at Pulaski Community Hospital. Shirley was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses since 1978. Her genuine love of people, enduring sense of humor, and passion for music and creation will keep her memory alive. Survivors include her loving husband of 51 years, Robert S. Clouser of Pulaski; two sons, Lee R. of Blandon, PA, and Lawrence W. of Pulaski; one sister, Barbara Reese of Reading, PA; two grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Sunday, February 1, 2004 at 3:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Pulaski with Curtis Coes officiating. Arrangements by Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.

ARNOLD DENNIS WINDLE, SR.
BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Arnold Dennis Windle, Sr. of Brooklyn, New York and formerly of Draper, Born June 6, 1938 in Wythe County, Va. he was the son of the late William F. Windle and Mary Gladys Cole Windle. His wife, Mary Desmond Windle, his two sisters, Thelma Windle Adams and Ellen Windle Horton and one brother, Andrew Ray Windle also preceded him in Interment will follow at Draper Pentecostal Church passed away Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004 in the Wythe County Community Hospital. He was employed by Morton and attended Flatwoods Church of God.
Surviving are: his wife, Helen DeHart Dalton and daughter, Dreama Diane Dalton both of the home; his parents, Herman G., Sr. and Sue Dalton of Max Meadows; one brother, James Dalton, Max Meadows; two sisters, Sheila Larue and Priscilla “Cricket” Jones both of Max Meadows.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 30, at 2 p.m. in the Reese Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Stuart and the Rev. Wayne Burnett officiating. Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Reese Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday or at his residence at any time.
Reese Funeral Home, Austinville, is in charge of the arrangements.
