DUBLIN – Harry Duane (Snooky/Shorty) Dunford, 64, of Dublin, Va. born on Sept. 4, 1940 in Wythe County and was the son of the late Dewitt Dunford and Mary Dunford Poling. He was a veteran and served in the United States Marine Corps.
Surviving are: his wife, Maxine Dunford, Dublin; children and spouses, Nova and Todd Boothe, Pulaski, Sandra and Tommy Lane, Radford, Debbie and Leroy Stone, Max Meadows, Eddie Dunford, Max Meadows, John and Jennifer Dunford, Pulaski, Allen and Erin Dunford, Dublin; grandchildren, Amanda Stone, Chevella Boothe, Santana Wheeling, Joey Dunford, Keith Lane, Tyler Dunford, Katie Dunford, Eric Trail, Brent Trail, Regan Dunford, Chase Dunford, Kenzie Dunford; brothers and sisters and spouses, Sambo Claude Dunford, Wytheville, Evelyn and Robert Mabe, Petersburg, Va., Shirley and B. J. Jones, Petersburg, Va., Lucille Hazel Watkins, Petersburg, Va., James and Janet Dunford, Radford, Va., Sharon Dunford, Petersburg, Va., Karen Dunford, Petersburg, Va.; a large number of step-brothers and step-sisters.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Mountain View passed away Monday, June 13, 2005 at the New River Valley Medical Center.

Cox, Hillsville, Howard “Mac” Cox and wife Carolyn Cox, Reva, Va., Gerry Wayne Cox, Dublin, Gordon W. Cox, Pulaski, Victor Dane Cox, Dublin; sisters, Peggy Wilson, Radford, Ethelene Wilson, Santa Anna, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday 2 p.m. at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Neil Wood officiating. Cemetery, Snowville. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski.

ATHENE ELIZABETH PATTERSON
PULASKI – Athene Elizabeth Patterson age 64 of 1307 Randolph Avenue, Pulaski, Va. departed this life on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Va. Funeral arrangements are pending at Penn’s Funeral Home.

ARNOLD WARDEN
PULASKI – Arnold Warden of Pulaski, Va. died Tuesday June 14, 2005 in Avante Nursing Center in Roanoke. death by her husband, Basil Lynwood Jones, 3 sisters and 1 brother. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law: Judith J. Bruce and her husband Wallace of Dublin, Barbara J. Wheeler and her husband Thomas of Floyd Co., and Billie Abshire of Roanoke: 1 sister; Betty Martin Wise of Grottoes. Also survived by 6 grandchildren: Todd Bruce and his wife Tracie of Pulaski, Adam Bruce and his wife Amy of Franklin Co., Karen Dickerson McGrath and her husband John of Barboursville, Va., Mark A. Dickerson of Dublin, Philip Wheeler and his wife Gayle of Wytheville, and Christie Abshire of Roanoke. Also survived by 9 great grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday June 17, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in West View cemetery, and at the home of Wallace and Judy Bruce 5126 Southern Drive in Dublin. Flowers will be accepted, but for those who wish they may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. DUBLIN - Roy Henderson Viars, 87, Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin where members of VFW Post #1184 will conduct military graveside rites. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.

WILLIAM LEEROY BURTON, SR.
PULASKI - William Leeroy Burton, Sr. 77, of Pulaski Born November 4, 1927 in Pulaski, he was the son of the late Ila Jenkins Burton and Early Roy Burton. Mr. Burton was retired from the A.T.&T. Plant, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin where the VFW Post 776 will conduct military honors. MARY TRAIL SOUTHERN
PULASKI - Mary Trail Southern, 74, of Pulaski Born on March 12, 1931 in Pulaski County she was the daughter of the late Samuel Preston Trail and Maude Tabor Trail. Mrs. Southern was also preceded in Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A reception will be held after the graveside service from the Bob White Blvd. Church Family Life Center.

PULASKI - Elda Lee Hudson Cox, age 60, of Pulaski, Va. death by her husbands, Michael Rufus Cook, Bobby Kennedy and Kenneth Cox. She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Gail Cook of Pulaski; two sons, Michael Lee Cook of Pulaski, Curtis Dean Cook of Snowsville, Va; one step-daughter,Tammy Lynn O'Brien of Snowsville, Va; her parents, Ernest and Laura Crowder Hudson of Pulaski; two granddaughters; one great-grandson; four step-grandchildren, one sister, Mary Rogers of Midlothian, Va. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. in the Reese Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. David Allen officiating. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Bethany died on Monday, June 13, 2005 at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton. She was death by her husband, George C. Ratcliffe, a brother and two sisters. She was a member of Amissville United Methodist Church and was well loved and will be truly missed. Mrs. Ratcliffe is survived by four children, Richard C. Ratcliffe of Amissville, Linda Cook of Fredericksburg, Kathy Frazier of Amissville and Barry R. Ratcliffe of Madison; a sister, Opal Ritter, and a brother, Ralph Mills, both of Radford; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 16, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rockford United Methodist Church passed away Saturday, June 11, 2005 in the Wythe County Community Hospital. He was death by two sisters and three brothers.
Surviving are: his loving wife of 42 years, Wanda Hagy Tibbs; children, Jeffery Tibbs of Atlanta, Ga., Mark Tibbs, Melanie Tibbs both of Wytheville; two grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Kennedy, Oakie Mae Martin both of Pulaski; many special friends and nieces and nephews survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 15, at 2 p.m. in the Barnett Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Hagy and the Rev. Dennis Whitter officiating. Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday or at the residence at anytime.

DORIS NELL RING
RADFORD - Doris Nell Ring, 63 of Radford, death by her parents, Leo and Katheryn Ring and a sister, Barbara Ring Morton. Survivors include two sisters, Frances LeFrancois of Garner, NC and Beverly Ring Wesley of Narrows; two brothers, Winston Ring of Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin and Jessee Ring of Fremont, CA; and 10 nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Monday, June 13, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at the Fairlawn Presbyterian Church with Rev. Terry Woodard officiating. In lieu of flowers family requests that contributions be made to the Fairlawn Presbyterian Church. Arrangements by Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.

DANIEL LEE MCPEAK
HIWASSEE - Daniel Lee McPeak, 72, of 5888 Clapboard Hollow Road, Hiwassee born on March 9, 1932 in Carroll County and was the son of the late Elihugh McPeak and Bertha Lester McPeak. He was also preceded in funeral service was held Saturday at 7 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mike Coleman officiating. Visiting was held Saturday from 5 p.m. until the service hour at the funeral home.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday from the Hedge Family died Thursday, March 11 at Roanoke Community Hospital.
Private graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Hunter’s died Wednesday, Mar. 10, 2004 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was death by one sister, Melanie Davis.
Surviving are: his wife, Betty Davis, Pulaski; parents, Ranold and Mildred L. Davis, Newbern; two children, Joel Alvin Davis, Jr. and Jevonna Davis; sister and brother-in-law, Janie and Brick Marunich; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rodney and Ann Davis, Steve Davis, Sheldon and Dreama Davis; one grandchild; special nephew, Justin Davis; several other nieces and nephews.
Mr. Davis will be cremated.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Goshen cemetery.
