Brandyn Scott Rentschler

Brandyn Scott Rentschler was born June 2, 1984 and passed away on March 12, 2011. He was 26 years old. While gone from us too soon we are thankful for the time that we shared with him. He will be remembered for his ability to put a smile on people’s faces with his quick humor, jokes and infectious laugh. He had the most beautiful smile that could light up a room. He had a big heart for those he loved and cared for. He would gladly give the shirt off his back for anyone who needed it. Brandyn was a very private person, he loved and cared for many but only let a few select people in his heart. Brandyn had a very special relationship with his mother. Not only were they mother and son they were best friends. They shared many special times together. Brandyn always talked about his mom and how much she meant to him. He was her world and she his. Brandyn also had a very special relationship with his Grandpa and Grandma LeRoue. He always felt secure, loved and protected by them.

He always knew no matter where he went he could always come home. Their house was always home in Brandyn’s heart – his safe haven.

Brandyn was born in Yakima, WA. He lived in the Yakima Valley until he was seven. His family moved to Mountlake Terrace/ Edmonds area where he grew up. There he met his best friend, Mike Neuss. Mike and Brandyn shared a close bond. They considered themselves brothers not just friends. Mike’s family quickly became Brandyn’s family, too.

As a teenager, Brandyn and his mom moved back to Zillah. Even though Zillah was home he one day planned to return to the Edmonds area.

Brandyn loved life and had many interests and friends. He enjoyed camping, playing video games, watching movies and spending time with his family and friends. In his quiet time he enjoyed writing poetry – his way of expressing his thoughts and feelings.

Those left behind to cherish Brandyn’s memory include his mother, Barbara LeRoue of Zillah, WA; his father Scott Rentschler of Alaska; a brother Cody Rentschler and sister Dusty Rentschler of Tri-Cities, WA; his grandparents Arthur and Barbara LeRoue of Zillah, WA and John Rentschler of Toppenish, WA; numerous uncles and aunts, Art and Tammy LeRoue; Dennis LeRoue; Eddie and Donnita Janssen (in his heart Donnita was his sister – one of the few people who knew the “real” Brandyn as he would often say); Margie LeRoue; Dave and Chris (Rentschler) Traub; Mark and Bobbie Rentschler. He will also be missed by his many cousins.

He was proceeded in death by his paternal grandmother, Iris Rentschler.

He loved all of his cousins but there were a few that were especially close to him, Nathan and Nyrie LeRoue; Ashley LeRoue (his other mom as he would tell his friends);and John LeRoue.

He had several close friends that will never forget him – Dustin, Jairo, Mike, Chris, and Ichiro to name a few.

Also, missing him will be his two “boys”, Luke and Cujo his faithful and loving dogs.

Even though he will be missed terribly he would not want you to be sad. He would want you to let the memories surround you about all the times you shared with him because if you keep these memories close to you, you will never be apart.

We love you Brandyn and you will forever be missed.’

A memorial service will be held at Valley Hills Funeral home in Zillah. Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah is in care of the arrangements.
