HEADLEY, Rossie Lee, 79, a resident of Prattville, AL, died on Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at a Montgomery hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. from the Boones Chapel Church, with Reverend Mike Truil and Reverend Rodney Culpepper officiating. Burial will follow at Boones Chapel Cemetery, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Headley was preceded in death by her husband Horace Gaston Headley. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, W. Diane and Neil Peacock, Millbrook, AL; one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Shirley Headley, Prattville, AL; two grandchildren, Scott (Shawana) Peacock and Jennifer Headley; three great-grandchildren, Danielle Peacock, Taylor Watson, and McKenzie Peacock; three brothers, J.W. Chavers, Shelby (Patricia) Chavers both of Wetumpka, AL, Leon (Cheryl) Chavers, Titus, AL; two sisters, Dot (Rodger) Justiss, Wetumpka, AL, and Dean Sanders, Albuquerque, NM; three sisters in-law, Helen Hollon, Naomi Brown, and Yvonne Mitchell; one brother-in-law, Joe Headley. Active pallbearers will be Ken Hollon, Rodger Justiss, Leon Chavers, Scott Peacock, J.J. Boyd, and Earl Edmondson. Honorary pallbearers will be Stan Hollon, Tommy Edmondson, J.W. Chavers, and Gene Hollon. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Marrion Davis

Davis, Marrion Rose, 74, a resident of Millbrook, AL, died peacefully at a Montgomery hospital on Wednesday, October 6, 2004. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2004, at 11:00 a.m., from Prattville Memorial Chapel with Reverend Wayne Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Rocky Hill Cemetery in Autaugaville, AL with Prattville Memorial directing. Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband, Clarence Davis of Millbrook, AL; two daughters, Edith (Ron) Garrett of Havana, FL and Mary ( Darrell) of Deatsville, AL; two sons, Kenneth (Jackie) Respess of Equality, AL and Bill (Joan) Respess of Millbroook, AL; one sister, Ottolene Motley of Prattville, AL; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Keith Joiner, Kevin Joiner, Wally Garrett, Myles Johnson, Ken Respess and Jeff Rogers. Honorary Pallbearer will be Paul Stearnes. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Renee Land

LAND, Renee Frederick, 54, a resident of Montgomery, AL, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 7, 2007, after an extended illness. A memorial service will be held on Saturday November 10, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Land was preceded in death by her husband, Alan Land; her father, Arlie Frederick; and one brother Michael Frederick. She is survived by her son, Shawn Land; her mother, Sarah Sargent; two brothers, Ronald (Angela) Sargent and Ray Sargent; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Montgomery Humane Society, 1150 John Overton Dr., Montgomery, AL 36110.

Sadie Davidson

DAVIDSON, Sadie Margaret, 84, a resident of Montgomery, AL, died peacefully on Saturday, May 24, 2008, at a Montgomery hospital. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at 4:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home in Crestview, FL, with Pastor Henry Lewis Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Cotton Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Davidson was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who devoted her life to caring for her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Aster Davidson. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Shirley Henry, Prattville, AL; one granddaughter, Jennifer Cooke, and her spouse Keith Cooke, Birmingham, AL; one great-grandson, Jackson Henry Cooke, Birmingham, AL; one sister and brother-in-law, Rosie and Roddy Steel, Baker, FL; and one brother and sister-in-law, Armol and Myra Davidson, Lucedale, MS. The family will receive friends at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home one hour prior to her service from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Harold Fales

Fales, Harold L., 62, a resident of Elmore, AL, died on Saturday, April 1, 2006. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 3, 2006, at 1:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Ro Eubanks officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Fales is survived by one son, Kenneth Cruz, Long Beach, CA; two sisters, Dorothy Ritchie, Prattville, AL, and Bernice (Darrell) Eldridge, Ramona, CA; three brothers, Junior Fales, Napa, CA, Bud (Amber) Fales, Sun Valley, CA, and Harry (Kay) Handley, Aberdeen, WA; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Fales; one brother-in-law, Dreigo Hernandez; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Robert Fales, Ryan Fales, Jonathan Fales, Billy McAllister, Josh McAllister, Terry Ritchie, and George Toole. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial on Sunday afternoon from 2:30 p.m. until 4:30.

Michael "Garrett" Garrett

GARRETT, Jr., Michael Dean, a resident of Prattville, AL, who was affectionately known and loved as “Garrett” and “Mikey,” died unexpectedly at the age of 19, on Tuesday, May 9, 2006, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2006, at 2:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Pastor Greg Melvin officiating. Entombment will follow in the Memorial Mausoleum at Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Garrett loved life and loved his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all. He is survived by his father, Michael Dean (Anita) Garrett, Sr., his mother, Peggy Hyatt (Cary) Buchanan; two sisters, Krystie Meek and Raquel Buchanan; four brothers, Blake Cartwright, Cary Buchanan, Matthew Buchanan, and Shane Hunt; paternal grandparents, Bill and Glenda Garrett; maternal grandparents, Johanna and Danny Hyatt; great-grandmother, Doris Hyatt; two aunts, Melinda Garrett and Michelle Hyatt; three uncles, Phillip Garrett, David Hyatt, and Donald Hyatt; and a host of cousins and friends. Pallbearers will be Ryan Baker, Brandon Amos, Justin Williamson, Robbie Amos, Matt Mitchell, Brandon Caruthers, Alan Evans, Spencer Young, Alex Baker, Leon Williamson, and Igor Bartenob. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

James Hollon

HOLLON, James Herschel, 59, a resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Friday, January 6, 2006, at a Montgomery hospital. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2006, at 2:00 p.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Rodney Culpepper officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mr. Hollon was preceded in death by his father, Huie Hollon, and one son, Alan Hollon. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jo Hollon; one daughter, Donna (Dave) Bromley; two grandchildren, Dakota Bromley and Jessica Bromley; his mother, Mae Hollon; four sisters, Nell Graham, Vivian (Ricky) Gulledge, Teresa (Robin) Stewart, and Sylvia (Gary) Pullen; and two brothers, Gene Hollon and Charles (Vickie) Hollon. Pallbearers will be Steven Nicholson, Jimmy Oates, Travis Oates, Ricky Oates, Todd Stephens and Robert Browder. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Saturday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

Thelma Esco

ESCO, Thelma Gray, 85, a former resident of Prattville, AL, died peacefully on Saturday, July 3, 2006, in Pensacola, FL. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 6, 2006, at 10:00 a.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend Wayne Smith and Reverend Gordon Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Esco was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alvin Esco, and one son, Gary Esco. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Haynes Barrington, Pensacola, FL; five grandchildren, Kyle (Cindy) Barrington, Keesha (Tom) Keiser, Kim Seldon, Hillary Esco, and Megan Esco; four great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Betty Gray, Montgomery, AL, and one daughter-in-law, Paulette Esco, Smyrna, GA. The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
