Porfirio Alequin

Porfirio Alequin, 70, of Clarksville died Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, at his home.
He was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and was a member of Spadra Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Marlow Alequin; four daughters, Julia Alequin of Pennsylvania, Julie Alequin of Florida, and Patricia Dale and Violet Alequin, both of Clarksville; two sons, Porfirio Alequin Jr. of Delaware and Jamie Alequin of Pennsylvania; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bob Oden officiating. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.

Ronnie D. Hatchett

Ronnie Dean Hatchett, 55, of Clarksville died Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, at Clarksville Convalescent Home.
He was born at Fayetteville, son of the late Burl and Christene Buchanan Hatchett, retired truck driver and factory employee and was preceded in death by one daughter, Kina Deann.
Survivors include one daughter, Angelia Jacobs of Owasso, Okla.; two sisters, Mary Pizzotti and Joan Rigsby, both of Clarksville; two brothers, David Hatchett and Gary Don Hatchett, both of Clarksville; and two grandchildren, Dylan Jacobs and Drew Jacobs, both of Owasso, Okla.
Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, at the Mt. Vernon cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Roy Denver Willis

Roy Denver Willis, 85, of Oark died Friday, Oct. 27, 2006, at Oark.
He was a member of Mountain Top Assembly of God Church, a Disabled American Veteran, native of the Harmony Community, son of the late Felix and Nancy Brison Willis, and was preceded in death by one brother, William (Buster) Willis; one sister, Annis Melson; infant brother and sister, Ruben and Eunice Willis; and twin great-grandsons.
Survivors include his wife, Violet Willis; one daughter, Tressa Ann Keith and husband, Allen, of Hartman; three sons, Roy Dean Willis and wife, Ethel, and George Willis and wife, Jeannett, all of Oark, and Tom Willis and wife, Patty, of Russellville; three sisters, Ollie Collins of Fort Smith, Melvina Martin of Stilwell, Okla., and Sylvia Norman of Chandler, Okla.; three brothers, Dennis Willis of Oark, Ed Willis of Knoxville, and Levi Willis of Clarksville; 17 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Rev. Larry Willis officiating. Burial was at the Sherrellville cemetery in the Batson Community.
Active pallbearers were Greg Willis, Robert Willis, Jason Willis, Travis Willis, Johnny Willis, and T. A. Willis.
Honorary pallbearers were Phillip Willis, Kenneth Rogers, Carl Rogers, Jimmy Rogers, Billy Rogers, and Boyd Rogers.

Bryce A. Johnson

Bryce Allen Johnson, 4, of Aurora, Ill., grandson of Tom and Rita Ferris of London, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006, in Chicago, Ill.
Other survivors include his parents, Anthony Johnson and Tina Ferris; two brothers, Brendon McDonald and Kyle Ferris; grandparents, Vicki and Tom Nagy of Plano, Ill., and Linda and Scott Johnson of Aurora, Ill.; great-grandparents, Gearldine Wilde of Wheaton, Ill., and William and Mari Johnson of Wisconsin; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton, Ill.
Burial was in Lincoln Memorial Park.

Edna M. Cotton

Edna Marie Cotton, 69, of Clarksville died Monday, Oct. 23, 2006, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
She was a native of Dardanelle, daughter of the late Talmadge and Sophia Ingram Perry, member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, graduate of Morrilton High School, and was preceded in death by one brother, Clendon Perry; and one step-great-grandchild, Jermaine.
Survivors include her husband, Leroy Cotton; five sons, Eddie Cotton, Mike Cotton, Roy Cotton, Jimmy Cotton, and Donald Cotton, all of Clarksville; one stepdaughter, Laura Lee Alston of Fort Smith; two sisters, Betty Sue Monroe and Yvonne Perry, both of Kansas City, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Brandon Cotton, LaTeasha Cotton, Tylee Cotton, LaKeshia Pelts, LakeLyn Cotton, Jordon Cotton, and China Cotton; four step-grandchildren; and 18 step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. William Hickman officiating. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Patrick Baker, Thomas Perry, Jeffrey West, Bill Brockman, Andy May, and William Cotton.
Honorary pallbearers will be Virgil Willis, Chuck Ludgood, and Clifford May.

Keith H. King

Keith Hughie King, 66, of Lamar died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006, at St. Edward Advance Care Hospital.
A native of Clarksville, he was a son of the late Hughie and Violet Hinson King, graduate of Clarksville High School and the University of the Ozarks, and was preceded in death by one sister, Rebecca Talley.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Peden King; two sons, Keith Damon King of Mills Springs, Mo., and Jason King of Arnold, Mo.; two stepsons, Tommy Sherwood of Las Vegas, Nev., and Robert Sherwood of Roseville, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Ruth Ann Lawshe of Roseville, Calif., and Janell Williams of Lincoln, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Stillwell Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Goodman officiating.
Burial will be in Stillwell cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Robert King, Hank Sparks, Louie Don Leeds, Gene Leeds, Tommy Sexton, and Fred Soard.

Leah Williams

Leah Williams, 50, of Ozark, mother of Keith Williams of Clarksville, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2006, at UAMS in Little Rock.
She was a native of McKinney, Texas, daughter of the late Jimmy D. and Marquita Moats Childress, and Methodist.
Survivors include her husband, Eddie Williams; two daughters, Tabatha and Charity Williams, both of Ozark; one other son, Brian Williams of Seattle, Wash.; one sister, Rebecca Hopper of Blue Ridge, Texas; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Rev. Kim Gowins officiating. Burial was at Mt. View cemetery north of Ozark.
Pallbearers were Kevin Davis, David Molton, David Molton Jr., Jade Ivy, David Norris and Derrick Taber.

Olen E. Freeman

Olen E. Freeman, 76, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006, at his home.
A native of Lurton, he was a son of the late Clifford and Sarah Mae Pruitt Freeman, Baptist, Navy veteran of the Korean War, sawmill operator for several years, aircraft mechanic, and was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Murl; one daughter, Kimberly Callahan; and one son, Roland Freeman.
Survivors include two sons, Harley Freeman and wife, Brenda, of the Low Gap Community and George Freeman and wife, Robin, of the Lone Pine Community; one sister, Lenna Hughes and husband, Nolan, of the Lone Pine Community; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Michael Minniear officiating. Burial was in the Lone Pine cemetery.
Active pallbearers were George Freeman, Harley Freeman, Gary Hughes, Jim Hughes, Everett McAlister and Jeffery Calahan.
Honorary pallbearers were Timmy Freeman, Charlie Stepp, Roger Williams, Fred Freeman, Jody Arrowood, John Wood and Albert Arrowood.
