MCMILLAN, Donald, 25, of Tucson, died July 14, 1997. He will be missed by his beloved mother, Verna McMillan; two brothers, Robin Luke of Tucson and Brian Lazenby of Dillsboro, IN; aunts, Kathy Allred of Ruskin, FL, Dorothy Plemons and Donna Beckman of Liberty, IN and Joy Boone of Tucson; uncles, Dow Burch of St. Simons IS, GA., Danny Burch of Brunswick, GA, Alvin Burch of Brookville, IN and Lee Burch of Orange, Texas, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at HEATHER MORTUARY, 1040 N. Columbus Blvd., on Friday, July 18, 1997. Cremation will follow. Arrangements by HEATHER MORTUARY.

PETERSON, Dorothy Taylor, age 86, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 4, 1997, while visiting her daughters in Wisconsin. Dorothy was born on April 2, 1911 in Elkhorn, WI to Ora P. and Erma Taylor. She graduated from the Elkhorn school system and attended Ripon College. She served as a Wave during World War II. She married Marx E. Peterson on April 29, 1944 and lived in Elkhorn until moving to Tucson, AZ in 1978. Survivors include her three daughters, Mary of Phoenix, Peggy Peterson (David Barbian) of Mount Horeb and Betty Peterson (James Scurlock) of Poynette and two sisters, Ernestine Bumsted of Janesville and Margaret (Ralph) Ranney of Waukesha. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marx on July 4, 1979. Memorial Service, 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 18, 1997 at Casas Adobes Congregational Church.

POLIVCHAK, Mildred M., 81, of Tucson, AZ, died July 12, 1997. Mildred went to be with the Lord peacefully on Saturday. She is survived by her loving children, Diane Whaley (James), Joseph Polivchak, Nancy Polivchak, Mary Franklin (James) and Michael Polivchak (Gay); grandchildren, Patty and Mike Whaley, Cory, Casey and Katelyn Polivchak, Chris and Deanna Franklin; sister, Evelyn Stanivs. She is preceded in death by Joseph Polivchak and also many relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 17, 1997 at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave., from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held Friday, at 9:00 a.m. at South Lawn Memorial Park, 5401 S. Park Ave. Remembrances may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice.

Jennie Lucille Rheinhart, 82, died July 14, 1997. Wife of Bob Rheinhart of Tucson; mother of Randall Rheinhart of Dayton, OH and Don Rheinhart of Bettendorf, IA, Linda Albee and Terry Gootz, both of Tucson; sister of Luther Prater of Muncie, IN, Cecil Prater, Gene Prater and Nina McCormack, all of McMinnville, TN; 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren also survive. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Memorial Service 1:00 p.m, Wednesday, July 16, 1997 at Ina Rd. Church of Christ, 2425 W. Ina Rd., with Elder Lefter Pritchett officiating. Arrangements by BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

SHULMAN, Sarah, 91, of Tucson, died July 15, 1997. Survivors include her daughter, Shari (Daniel) Goldstein of Scottsdale; her son, Joel (Madeleine) Shulman of Tucson; grandchildren, Jay (Gretchen) Goldstein, Karen (Ryan) Goldstein, Jodi (Peter) Schroeder, Kim (Jay) Crone and Paul Shulman; great-grandchildren, Corey, Shane, Megan, Jaci and Lauren. Memorial Service will be held at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd., Wednesday, July 16, 1997 at 2:00 p.m.

Elizario Noe B. Camacho, age 63, born on January 22, 1934 in Navajoa, Sonora Mexico passed away on July 12, 1997. He is survived by Maria Luisa, his beloved wife of 41 years; sons, Jesus Miguel (Evelyn), Javier (Tina), Rene (Sabrina); and daughter, Edna (Gary Duran); seven grandchildren, Christiana, Javier, Abraham, Noel, Gary, Joshua and Briana; brothers, Narciso, Jesus and Leopoldo; sisters, Amanda Bedoya and Beatriz Perez. Elizario retired from the City of Tucson. He was loved and respected by his family and friends. He will be missed by all. May our prayers and the Lord’s blessings be with him. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 1997 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO’S TUCSON MORTUARY, South Chapel, 204 S. Stone, with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Thursday, July 17 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s Evangelist Church, 602 W. Ajo Way. Interment following mass at Holy Hope Cemetery.

CASTILLO, Rito R., 48, of Tucson, passed away July 11, 1997. Survived by parents, Francisco and Hophalia Castillo; daughter, Cynthia (Osvaldo); sons, Tommy, Richard (Marissa); sisters, Victoria (Mario), Rosemary; brothers, Henry (Belinda), Raul (Susan), Louis (Lorraine), Daniel, Frank (Diane). Also survived by grandchildren, Richard, Katrina, and Mercedes. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 1997, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO’S TUCSON MORTUARY, (North Chapel), 204 S. Stone Ave. with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at Santa Cruz Church, 1220 S. 6th Ave. Interment to follow at Southlawn Cemetery. Arrangements by CARRILLO’S TUCSON MORTUARY INC.

DESPLINTER, Charles F., 85, formerly of Annawan, IL, died Friday, June 27, 1997 at the Life Care Center in Sierra Vista, AZ. Memorial Services are pending. He was born on March 23, 1912 in Bureau County, IL and raised in the Annawan area. He owned and operated a food and drink establishment known as Charlie’s Place on Main Street in Annawan for several years. He also worked for Quaife Farm Store before moving to Geneseo, IL and then to Arizona. He is survived by two sons, Ted DeSplinter of Sierra Vista and Ronald DeSplinter of St. Charles, MO; a sister, Margaret Williams of Annawan; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his wife, Ruth (Williams) DeSplinter, five brothers and his parents.

JOHNSON, Robert R., 41, died July 12, 1997 in Tucson. Robert is a native of Arizona. He is survived by wife, Patricia Johnson of Tucson; one daughter, Lani Kirina 'Kira' Johnson of Tucson; parents, Evan and Grace Johnson of Duncan, AZ; one brother, Donald Evan Johnson of Tucson; one sister, Kerry Lynn Elam of Sahuarita, AZ; three nieces, Monica Christiansen, Mindy Elam, Melynda Elam and one nephew, Troy Elam. Visitation for Mr. Johnson will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 1997 at WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, 5225 E. Speedway. Burial will be private at Desert Vista Cemetery. Arrangements by WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL.

KRUCKMEYER, Adrienne Grace (Demski), 70, passed on July 12, 1997 after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s. She is survived by her four sons, Korey, Kirby (Pat), Kerry and Damian (aka Kevin); as well as six grandchildren, Uschi, Anja, Nadia, Nicole, Raisha and Austin; niece, Anne; grandnephew, Brandon; and sister-in-law, Irma. As per her wishes there will be no traditional funeral services. Instead there will be a celebration of her life at Kerry’s house, 5552 E. Water St., on Friday, July 18 at 6:00 p.m. At 7:00 p.m. a few words will be spoken in her behalf. Party, food and drinks provided. Dress casual. All who knew her are welcome, but come happy and enjoy yourself.

LAZARUS, Dorothy C., 93, died July 12, 1997. Aunt of Leo Thomas Gallagher of Tucson; also survived by other relatives living out of state. Rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m, Wednesday, July 16 at BRING’S MEMORIAL CHAPEL. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Somers, NY. Friends may call from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 16 at BRING’S MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 236 S. Scott.

LEE, Georgia L., 95, died July 11, 1997 in Tucson. Mrs. Lee is a native of Arizona. She was born June 6, 1902. Survived by one daughter, Doris L. Brown of Tucson; one sister, Maurine Doheny of Portal, AZ and one granddaughter, Madeleine (Andrew) Kemmerer of St. Petersburg, FL; two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren. Memorial Service for Mrs. Lee will be Wednesday, July 16, 1997 at 7:00 p.m. at WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, 5225 E. Speedway.

LOCKETT, Bette M., 82, died July 10, 1997. Graveside Service 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 16, 1997 at Holy Hope Cemetery. Friends may call from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

MATTHEWS, George Albert, 63, a lifelong resident of Tucson, died July 13, 1997. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara Matthews of Tucson; four daughters, Sharon (John) Victors of Alaska, Sue (Sam) Reeves of Tucson, Sandra (Steve) Farris of Alaska and Shirley (Steve) Callahan of Tucson; brothers and sisters, Shirley Gallmann, Donald (DeDe) Matthews, Marilynn (Robert) Sommers, John (Kay) Matthews, Jim Matthews, Theresa Weiss and Bill (Janett) Matthews. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Michael and Ian Victors, Jennifer, Jessica and Jacki Reeves, Matthew, Stefanie and Travis Farris and Stephen and Nicole Callahan. Mr. Matthews retired from Magma Copper Co. after 35 years. He was devoted to his family and lived to spend his summers at his home in Nutrioso, Arizona. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOME, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway), Wednesday, July 16, 1997 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorial Services will be held at St. James United Methodist Church, 3255 N. Campbell, Thursday, July 17, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, following the reception at the church. Pastor Gary Roper will be officiating. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Carondelet Hospice, 1802 W. St. Mary’s Rd., Tucson, AZ 85745 in the memory of George A. Matthews. WALLIS, James Clarence, 73, passed away July 3, 1997. Preceded in death by son, James C. Wallis; wife, Betty Wallis. Survived by his children, Peggy Crawford of Anchorage, AK; Julia Smegal and Joseph Wallis, both of Albuquerque, NM; Page Wallis of Rio Rancho, NM; grandchildren, Penny Booher of Peter’s Creek, AK; Stephen Crawford of Anchorage, AK; Emma Faye Smegal of Albuquerque, NM; Desarae, Nicole and Brittany Wallis, Rio Rancho, NM; brothers, Jerry Wallis; Bud Wallis; sister, Phyllis Hill. Memorial Service at Builder Lodge, 450 N. Pantano, Wednesday, July 16 at 7:00 p.m. Private family interment.

BARKDOLL, Anne B., 85, of Tucson since 1940, died July 12, 1997. A graduate of the University of Arizona. Born in Colorado. Survived by daughter-in-law, Susannah Johnson of Mesa, AZ; sisters Miriam Robinson of Dunsmuir, CA, and Helen Bollweg of Douglas, AZ; two grandchildren, Ivan Barkdoll of Tempe, AZ and Florence Swanson of Chandler, AZ; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial Service 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, St. Phillip’s in the Hills Episcopal Church, 4440 N. Campbell Ave., at River Rd. BECTOR, Milton C., 47, died July 9, 1997 in Tucson. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 15, 1997 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, 5225 E. Speedway. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, July 16 at WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, with burial to follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
