Lundberg Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Jacoba 'Stacey' Johnson (Troy); nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ida Kyle, Priscilla Hivner and Bethia Vujovich. HAUSLER, Gilbert Kirby, died Monday, March 23, 1998 in Phoenix. He was born in Chicago on February 1, 1915. Gil first came to Tucson in 1937 as a mechanic for American Airlines and worked for Consolidated Aircraft, Hughes Aircraft, and retired from Allied Signal in Phoenix. He was active in the American Airlines Three Diamond Society, the OX-5 Club and the Experimental Aircraft Association. He is survived by his wife, Marie; son, Gary; and two grandchildren. Burial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, at South Lawn Cemetery in Tucson.

HORWITZ, Rita, 85, passed away March 26, 1998. She was the daughter of Leo and Marion Goldmann of Milwaukee, WI, and was born on August 18, 1912. She graduated from Wellesley College in 1934, majoring in Psychology. She was married to Dr.Samuel Kohn, a pediatrician in Milwaukee, on January 10, 1935 and they made their home in Whitefish Bay, WI, until his death in 1976. She married Harry Horwitz of Tucson on August 22, 1980, and they have lived in Tucson ever since. She is survived by her husband, Harry Horwitz; her children, Richard (Jacqueline) Kohn, James (Sandra) Kohn; sister, Joan (Don) Mandel; grandchildren, Abigail and Jeffrey Kohn; stepdaughter, Roggie (Barry) Edberg; and step-grandchildren, Roggie (Bill) Elm and Julie (Jeffrey) Cooper. She will be missed by all of her family and especially by her grandchildren, Abigail and Jeffrey Kohn, who both appreciated all the love and encouragement she has given them throughout the years. They were her special joy. Rita was always warm, generous, and loving. Friends and relatives are welcome at a Memorial Service at Temple Emanu-el, 225 N. Country Club at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 1, 1998. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Handmaker Jewish Services for the Aging at 5100 E. Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ 85712.

HYDE, Anna Jane Beaton, 90, died March 28, 1998. Mother of Jean (Hank) Eichorn. Grandmother of Mike (Cheryl) Hopp of CO; Karen (Kurt) Kenagy of Tucson; Kendra (Kurt) Scmidt of TX; Kristina (John) Gentry of CO; and Kim (Dave) Stansberry of CO. Nine great-grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Hyde was Creighton University's first formal prom queen; a graduate of Duchesne College; Aksarben duchess; President of Christ the King Guild and President of Christ Child Society. Mass will be offered at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 31 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 8650 N. Shannon Rd. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska. McCORMICK, Charlene, born Chicago 4/12/45 – at peace 3/28/98 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Survived by her children, Tom, Mike, Jim, Sherry, and Tera; grandchildren, Courtney, Denise, and Devin; father, John; mother, Shirley; brother, John; and sister, Pam. BACON, Kenneth D., 71, died March 29, 1998. Survived by his wife, Elizabeth; sisters, Marguerite Bryant and Jayne Archambault; sister-in-law, Eleanore Roddie; nieces and nephews. Kenneth was a 20 year veteran of the U.S.A.F. After retiring was employed at Hughes Aircraft, and was also a barber. BARKER, Artemisa O., 69, of Tucson, passed away March 27, 1998. Survived by daughters, Stephanie Barker, Melissa (Daniel) Manriquez, Nancy Ruiz, Patricia Barker, Debra Barker; son, Richard (Virginia) Barker; sisters, Hortensia Garcia, Felicita Adkins, Amalia Kilbane, Bertha Phillips; brother, Ruperto Ortiz Jr.; also survived by 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. COOPER, Paul Herman, 86, died March 29, 1998 at F&P Group Home in Pahrump, NV. Born June 20, 1911 in Littleton, New Hampshire. He was a certified public accountant. Memberships in organizations, Masons (Lifetime Member) and an avid fisherman. Survived by daughter, Joyce B. Toney of Pahrump, NV; sisters, Esther Hepworth of Manchester, NH and Doris McClintock of Concord, NH; granddaughter, Vicki Bassett of Boston, Mass; grandson, Kevin Staggs of Peoria, AZ; and five great-grandchildren. Private Family Service will be held. Arrangements by Neptune Society of Nye County.

GALLAGHER, Frances Edith, 78, of Tucson, passed away Friday, March 27, 1998 in Tucson, AZ. She is survived by a brother, daughter, son, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Pima Salon 8/40 of the American Legion Auxiliary, Morgan McDermont, Unit #7 who will be conducting the Service. She was a docent of the Zoological Society and did volunteer work at the Ried Park Zoo and Veteran Hospital. Graveside Services, 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 1998 at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5401 S. Park Ave., Tucson, AZ. In lieu of flowers, the family ask donations to be sent to the American Legion, Morgan McDermont, Unit #7 and the Ried Park Zoo.

HARRISON, Sibyl B., age 80, of Tucson, died March 27, 1998. She is survived by three sisters and one brother; daughter, Billie; grandchildren, Ronnie, Tricia and Gary; great-grandchildren, Tasha, Shannon and Kyla; and great-great-grandchildren, Paige, Shane and Ian. Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 1998 at Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. Peggy Ward officiating. Arrangements by SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY.

John P. Holbrook, age 71, died March 26, 1998. He was born on July 12, 1926 in San Francisco, CA and moved to Tucson in 1928. He is preceded in death by his father, Dr. Wm. Paul Holbrook; his mother, Margaret Bressler Holbrook; and his sister, Elizabeth Holbrook Whidden. He is survived by his wife, Jane Wraith Holbrook; his children, Margaret Holbrook, Elizabeth (Tom Holycross) Holbrook, Paul (Marsha) Holbrook, Bruce (Anna) Holbrook, Charity Holbrook, Catherine (David) Boscacci, James Weed; and grandchildren, Alexander ('Hondo') Holbrook, Anthony ('A.Z.') Holbrook, William ('Will') Holbrook, Johanna Holbrook, Henry Holbrook, Bill Boscacci and Christopher Boscacci. He is also survived by his brother, Bruce Holbrook and seven nieces and nephews. He attended Sam Hughes Elementary School, Mansfield Junior High School, Tucson High School and Virginia Polytechnic Military Academy. In 1949, he received his B.A. from the University of Arizona. In 1953 he received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Boston University. Having joined the Air Force, he took his internship and residency programs at Letterman's General Hospital in San Francisco. From 1957 to 1959, he was stationed at Francis E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne Wyoming, where he was Chief of Medicine. From 1959 until 1963, he was stationed at Lakenheath Hospital in England and as Director of Hospital Services and Chief of Medicine, he started and was founding President of the Anglo-American Medical Society. He received the Commendation Medal from the Air Force for his work with the Society. From 1963 until 1965, he was Chief of Medical Services at Fairfield Air Force Base in Spokane, WA. He retired from the Air Force in 1965 and returned to Tucson, where he joined the Holbrook-Hill Medical group. He went into private practice in 1979. After his retirement in 1992, he divided his time between residences in Tucson and Bigfork, MT. Memorial Services will be held at St. Phillips in the Hills at 11:30 on April 4. Friends are invited to join the family at the Tucson Country Club following the services. The family requests that Memorial gifts may be made to the TMC Foundation Cancer Fund for Patient Support Services in Tucson or the Quick Rescue and Response in Bigfork. LAGUNA, Carmen Rios, 79, of Tucson, passed away March 28, 1998. Preceded in death by daughter, Emily Riedeman Harris. Survived by husband, Pablo C. Laguna; daughters, Mary N. (David, Sr.) Moreno and Dolores (Ralph) Sanchez of Tucson; son, Frank R. Robles of Texas; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; also survived by many nieces and nephews. RUELAS, Rita C., 82, died Friday, March 27, 1998 in Tucson. Born July 27, 1914 in Tucson. Rita was a devoted mother and grandmother. Survived by three sons, Denny (Angelita) Sanchez, Frank (Maria Elena) Ruelas and Ignacio (Dorothy) Ruelas, all of Tucson; one daughter, Nellie Ybarra of Tucson; two sisters, Beatrice Grijalva of Tucson and Erlinda Argon of San Jose, CA; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Mass for Rita will be Wednesday, April 1, 1998, 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret's Church, 801 N. Grande. Friends may call from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, 1998 at WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, where Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. Burial will follow after Mass at Holy Hope Cemetery. Arrangements by WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, 5225 E. Speedway, 881-0338.

SHELTON, James E., 75. Jim went home to The Lord on March 28, 1998. Jim was born in Afton, OK, joined the Air Force, met and married Shirley 52 years ago and moved to Tucson. He retired from the Air Force, went to work for The City of Tucson and retired again in 1985. Jim is survived by his wife, Shirley; children, Tom (Judy), Kathy (Ron), John (Debbie), and Vicki (Ken); 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at First Evangelical Free Church, 4700 N. Swan Road on Thursday, April 2, at 2:00 p.m. The family asks that donations be made to The Arizona Cancer Center or the Free Church Mission.

STANSIFER, Martha Lois Stocking, died February 2, 1998 in Albuquerque, NM. Born March 23, 1929 in Augusta, KS. Survived by four children, Steven, Maribeth, Gary, Rebecca; two granddaughters, Nicole and Lindsay; and her special cousin, Martha Elaine. She has left this world to join her husband of 43 years, Philip; and her sisters and parents. A Private Memorial Service was held in the skies of Albuquerque in a hot air balloon.

Joseph C. Testa - He was taken from us on March 29, 1998. Born in Providence, RI on October 18, 1928. He is survived by Sonya, a long time companion; two children, Michael; and daughter-in-law, Alice; daughter, Barbara; four grandchildren; a sister; and brother living in Rhode Island. Joe was in the U.S. Air Force 1951-1970. He served in Korea and Viet Nam as an Air Refueler. Soon after retiring from the service he joined the American Legion. He was a past commander of American Legion Post 7 and Chef de Gare Passe of Voiture 73 of the 40 et 8.. Joe volunteered at the V.A. Medical Center for 18 years, first volunteering in the pharmacy, then as an Assistant State Service Officer fro the American Legion. A Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 1, 1998 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5401 S. Park Ave. Funeral Service 1:00 p.m. Thursday, at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY. American Legion Chaplain Harry Wineinger officiating.
