Survived by loving wife, Patricia Ann Morris; devoted sons, Arthur Joseph Tarsha, Jody Shane Morris; grandchildren, Carli Renee Lowry, Arthur Joseph Tarsha, Jr., Alex Maximillian Tarsha and great-granddaughter, Stormi Renee Lowry. He was an avid poker player, loving husband, father and grandfather. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m.Thursday, May 28, 1998 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 8650 N. Shannon Rd. YTURRALDE, Delia U., 74, of Tucson, died Monday, May 25, 1998. She is survived by her sister, Genevieve (Arnulfo) Flores and numerous nieces and nephews in California and Arizona. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 1998 at St. Francis De Sales Church, 1375 S. Camino Seco. Private Burial will be at Holy Hope Cemetery. BOJORQUEZ, Joseph Louis, 57, of Tucson, died May 7, 1998 at U of A Medical Center. He was born in Douglas, Arizona and worked for Hughes Air Craft for 32 years. Survivors include Diane Vance of Tucson, Frances Boatner and family of Douglas, Eva and Manuel Fernandez and family of Mesa, Bill and Juanita Castillo and family of Douglas, Pete and Dora Bojorquez and family of Fresno, CA, Ricardo Bojorquez and family of Benson, Eva and Paul Hawkins and family of Bisbee, Jeanette and Jim Connell of Gilbert, Heberto and Delia Bojorquez and family of Gilbert and Ana and Louis Mallett and family of Tempe. Memorial Mass is planned for May 30, 1998 at Immaculate Conception Church in Douglas at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY.

BUGLEWICZ, Christopher M. aka 'Chris Mattews' died suddenly at his home on Saturday, May 24, 1998. Chris was 38 years old. Chris was a popular entertainer who had played piano and sang in numerous clubs and resorts in the Tucson area.Chris began his career with the Tucson Boys Chorus. He toured nationally before settling in Tucson. In addition to his singing career, Chris was active in the hotel and entertainment industry, serving as food and beverage and marketing manager for Rio Rico Resort and the Breckenridge Resort in Lake of the Ozarks, MO. He also owned and operated his own talent and booking agency. Chris gave freely of his gift for entertaining and was a frequent volunteer musician in hospitals, nursing homes and at charity functions. Chris is survived by his mother, Marie; his brothers, Joseph, Gene, Richard and Jim; his stepsons, Brett and Sean; numerous family friends and fans who will miss him greatly. A memorial will be held Friday, May 29, 1998 at 1:00 p.m. at the Tucson Meadows Trailer Park Club House, 2121 S. Pantano Rd.

CASSIDY, Marie H., age 84, of Tucson, passed away May 26, 1998. Marie was a devoted wife and loving mother who selflessly cared for her husband and son. Her loving, warm and generous hand also reaches out and touches the rest of the family. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Cassidy Sr. She is survived by one son, William Cassidy Jr.; sisters-in-law, Rita Connolly and Lenna Harrison; nephews, Paul Harrison, William Harrison, James Connolly, Hugh Connolly, Tim Connolly, Richard Connolly; nieces, Carol Harrison, Judy Harrison and Mary Sue Connolly. CURTIS, Eugene B. 'Gene' died May 26, 1998. Survived by his wife, Betty; daughters, Christina (Will) and Carol; mother, Irene Curtis and sister, Virginia Shearin; two nieces, several cousins and many friends. Gene was employed with Southern Pacific Railroad as a conductor for 38 years. Member of Palo Verde Christian School Board for 17 years, member of El Camino Baptist Church for four years, President of United Transportation Union Local #807 for 10 years and Treasurer for eight years. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m.Friday, May 29, 1998 at El Camino Baptist Church, 7777 E. Speedway, Longtime friend, Rev. Matt Heathco officiating. Stasia M. Finc, 87, passed away on Monday, May 25, 1998 in Tucson. Stasia was born on March 14, 1911 in Bayonne, N.J. She lived in the Somerset section of Franklin Township most of her life before moving to Arizona in 1977. Stasia retired from the Franklin Board of Education as a cafeteria employee. She was active in the Golden Age Club, St. Ambrose Church and Auxiliary and the Seniors Club before her illness. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Anthony; daughters, Ginger Heath of Rockepot, MO, Lucy Valdez of Tucson, AZ and Ruth Wyckoff of Somerset, N.J. and son, Kenneth Finc of Washington, N.J.; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, 1998 at St. Ambrose Church, 300 S. Tucson Blvd. Memorial Contributions may be made to Kidney Foundation, 4019 N. 44 St. Phoenix, AZ 85018. FITZGERALD, Bill, age 47, passed away May 18, 1998. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; son, Shaun; daughter, Shannon; mother, Essie; brother, Chris; sister, Nan. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday May 30 at Holy Way Presbyterian Church, 4221 W. Ajo Way. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Church Scholarship Fund.

Mary Lou Harvey, Age 75, passed away May 24, 1998 of cancer. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, David S. Harvey and son, Dr. Lee A. Harvey. Another son, Kent L. Harvey, DDS, preceded her in death in 1990. Other survivors include sisters, Lutie L. Higley (Mrs. Tom S. Higley) and Ruth Hopper of Oregon; sister and brother-in-law, Reverend Wade and Dorothy Parker; many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Mary Lou was born in Phoenix in 1922, youngest child of Ethel Lee and John B. White. She attended Emerson and Kenilworth Elementary Schools, Phoenix Union High School and Phoenix Junior College where she was awarded a scholarship to Mills College. She graduated with a major in Social Work in 1945 and upon retiring to Phoenix, she was employed by the American Red Cross for five years. The family moved to Tucson in 1958. She began her professional teaching career at Corbett School with special attention to reading. Her next focus was on teacher supervision for the T.U.S.D., later extending to Special Education. She was awarded the M. Ed. Degree by the University of Arizona in Special Education in 1975. After several years in this specialty at Ford Elementary, her goal became Administration. Further graduate work at the University led to a Master's Degree. Mary Lou served as Principal of Menlo Park Elementary from 1977 until 1980. For the rest of her career, until her retirement in 1989, she was the principal of Blenman School. In 1987 Blenman was chosen as one of the ten top school in the state by the A+ School Recognition Program, sponsored by the Arizona Department of Education and others. In this award, as in many others, she gave all credit to her teachers, children and the parents of the community. Throughout her productive career she participated in many professional associations, as a working member. In retirement she devoted much time and effort to the AIDS Project. Mary Lou was a master of communication on all levels and to all ages. She expressed herself openly and honestly and with conviction. We are all fortunate to have come within her sphere. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kent L. Harvey Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of the University of Arizona in memory of Mrs. Harvey. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 1998 at the Catalina American Baptist Church, 1900 N. Country Club Rd. Arrangements by family owned ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway).

LEYVA, Ramona Garcia, 64 years old, died Monday, May 25, 1998 in Tucson. Survived by Miguel Leyva; children, Amanda (Manny) Quiroz, Lourdes (Rudy Molina) Leyva, Lupita (Luz) Almazan, Mike (Lisa) Leyva Jr., Brenda (Michael) May; sister, Lydia Garcia; four granddaughters, Alexis Quiroz, Tiffany Molina, Vanessa Leyva, Iliana May. Mass will be said at 10:00 a.m. Friday at St.Monica's Church, 212 W. Medina with burial to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, 5225 E. Speedway where Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m.

Nellie Martinez, 85, of Tucson, passed away May 23, 1998. Survived by husband, Jesus P. Martinez; daughter, Rosie (Armando T.) Estrada; son, Tony (Patricia) Martinez; sisters, Sally Muneton, Sara Tellez, Martha Sanchez; brothers, Andres Lopez, Alfredo Lopez, Aldolfo Lopez and Johnny Nunez. Also survived by six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28, 1998 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at CARRILLO'S TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave.with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered Friday at 9:00 a.m. at Santa Cruz Church, 1220 S. 6th Ave. Interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. METZ, Laura Mae, 76, died May 25, 1998. Mother of Sandra Jean (Charles) Nitzschke, Donald Alfred Metz, Jr., both of Michigan, Deloris Darlene Hilliard and DeWayne Raymond Metz both of Tucson; son-in-law, Jeff Hilliard of Rankin, Michigan; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive. Memorial Service, 4:00 p.m.Friday, May 29, 1998 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway with Rev. Edward Vernon officiating. Burialto be in Flint, Michigan.

MITCHELL, Thomas Glenn, 75, passed away peacefully during the morning hours of May 24, 1998 in Tucson, Arizona where he lived with his beloved wife, Mary for nearly 37 years. Born on October 18, 1922 in Owasso, Michigan. He is survived by his sons, Thomas and Gary of Tucson. In Michigan he is survived by sons, James, Raymond, Steven, Gary, Brian Mitchell and their families; daughters, Nadine Alice Perkins, Linda Marie Roy, Connie Michaud, Linda Strange, Vicki Thompson and their families and daughter, Debra, husband, Ron and grandson, Kenny Don Norton also of Tucson. Services will be held on Thursday, May 28th at Faith Lutheran Church located at 3925 E. 5th Street (just east of Alvernon) at 6:00 p.m.

SCHULL, Bessie E., of Tucson died May 23, 1998 on her 49th wedding anniversary. Born March 27, 1919 in Washington, D.C. She was the daughter of Colonel and Mrs. Eugene Ely. Survived by her devoted husband, Edson Schull, Colonel U.S. Army (Ret.); their grown sons, Derek E., Stephen E. and Rodney E.; granddaughters, Valerie C., Caitlyn E. and Victoria L; sisters, Mrs. Jean Banning (a twin), and Mrs. Dorothy Walker. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 3 at the Fort Huachuca Post Cemetery, followed by a reception at the on-post Lake Side Club. All friends are welcome. Be at the Widow Support Center near the Main Gate (not East Gate) of Ft. Huachuca by 10:30 a.m. and you will be escorted to the cemetery; otherwise you are on your own.

She is survived by daughters, Karen Nelson and Kathy (Lee) Barnhart; 'son', Jerry Nelson; grandchildren, Bryan, Chris, Chelsey and April; brothers, Clifford, Wes and Walt (Joanne) Jewell; sister, Winnie (Joe) Mocyk. ADKINS, Hattie L., 73, of Tucson, died May 26, 1998. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Kay Bell; grandchildren, Duane A. Chapman and Benjamin R. Chapman; sister, Leatha Lyons. Mrs. Adkins was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Kenneth Dale Adkins and a granddaughter, Amber R. Chapman. Services and burial will be in Huntington, West Virginia. BARBER, Elsie L. (nee York), died May 25, 1998 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Beloved wife of the late Oliver Bert Barber; loving mother of Cress (Amanda) Barber of Cincinnati, Ohio; dear grandmother of Melissa Barber of Baltimore, Maryland and Matthew Barber of Cincinnati, Ohio; sister of Jack York, Mary Marshall, Fannie Dusek, Bill Gibson and Dorothy Davis all of Tyler, Texas. She was preceded in death by Lawrence and Coble York. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. and the Victoria Gem Club. Frances Maybelle Cassady Barringer
Known to friends and family as 'Fran', 'Cass' or 'Lady' passed peacefully through the veil on May 26, 1998 after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her sister, Betty Jane Cassady Heily and her parents, Henry Welborne Cassady and Helon Morrow Cassady. Survived by her loving husband, John Lovell Barringer; sons, John Lovell (Theora Litt) Barringer, Jr. and Thomas Morrow Barringer; granddaughter, Deborah Jo Barringer (Paul) Gilbert and great-grandson, John Michael Gilbert. Born on October 12, 1916 in Bainbridge Georgia she moved to Tucson as an infant and was a resident until her death. Her father was Chief Dispatcher for the Southern Pacific Railroad in Tucson. Her husband is retired from his position as Director of Health, Physical Education and Recreation for Tucson Unified School District #1. She was retired from her position as Customer Service Representative for the Southern Arizona Bank and Trust Co., and later First Interstate Bank. She was active in service to her friends and community. She was a 'Gray Lady' in Tucson during WW II, a past member of the Women's Club, a former President at the Toast Mistress Club, a swimming official for the YMCA and served in a variety of positions on the Tucson High School Badger Foundation. She attended Roosevelt and Roskruge Elementary Schools and was a member of the first graduating class of Mansfield Jr. High School and graduated from Tucson High School in 1934. She attended the University of Arizona for two years where she studied business and music before marrying and starting her family. Devoted to her family and friends, she truly loving and loved. She will be sorely missed. An open house for her friends will be held at the family home on Sunday, May 31st from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Barringer Student Assistance Fund of Tucson High School Badger Foundation, 400 N. Second Ave., Tucson, AZ 85705. Arrangements by family owned ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES.

CHILDRESS, Dwight David, age 49, died Thursday, May 21, 1998. He is survived by two sons, Michael of Benson, AZ and Daniel of Alexandria, VA; one half-sister, Shirley Matney of Abbingdon, VA.; one grandson, Zachary of Tucson, AZ. Mr. Childress was born and raised in Virginia. He was a veteran of the Viet Nam Conflict. For the past several years he had developed a love for Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, and had pursued this through his vocation as a motorcycle mechanic. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, 1998 at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway). with Rev. David Ray officiating. It was Dwight's wishes that he be cremated and his remains be 'scattered to the wind.' Arrangements by family owned ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES.
