Norma (Daphan) Baker, the daughter of Charles Norman Massey and Ima Faye (Burdan) Massey, was death by her parents, one brother, Charles A. Horvath, and a daughter, Michelle Hensley.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Baker, Cabool; one daughter, Ronda M. Baker, Houston; three stepsons and spouses, Ronnie and Crystal Baker, Cameron, Rodney and Shelley Baker, Excelsior Springs, and Randy and Kathryn Baker, Lawson; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Dianna Riley, Holt; one brother, Jeff Massey, Dora; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava. Love offerings may be made to the family.

Mary Ellen Nash, the daughter of Clarence Trowbridge and Bernice (Thompson) Trowbridge, was death by her parents and her husband.
She is survived by her companion, Mickey Wharton, of Ava; two sons, Randy Nash and wife, Jayne, Escondido, Calif., and Dondi Nash, Ava; two stepchildren, Debbie Kotelnicki, Scottsville, Ky., and Dale Nash, St. Charles, Ill.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Trowbridge, Quincy, Ill., and Richard Trowbridge, Warner Robins, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with Elder Dale Wharton and Elder David Kelsey officiating. Cemetery. Visitation will be today (Thursday) 6 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks, 330 N. Jefferson, Springfield, MO 65806 or at the funeral.

William Eutah Lakey was death by his parents and one sister, Hester Narramore.
His survivors include his wife, Violet, of the home, Ava; two daughters and their spouses, Glyndora Oeltjen and Tim, Carthage, and Marilyn Aldridge and Charles, Sparta; six grandchildren, Valerie, Melanie, David, Brad, Kyle and Erin; four great-grandchildren, Austin, Will, Cheyanne, and Hannah; two brothers, Larry Clell Lakey, of Aldrich, and Gary Lakey, Mtn. Grove; one sister, Leota Blakey, Mission Viejo, Calif.; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be Friday, Sept. 21, at 10 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Revs. Keith Lafferty and Michael Peebles officiating. Cemetery. Visitation will be today (Thursday) 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
Paul Henley, 78

Paul Henley, passed away Aug. 28 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Surviving are his wife, Sue; four children; 10 grandchildren; two stepchildren; two step-grandchildren; and a sister, Laverne Nelson, of Kennewick, Wash.
He earned his bachelor's degree in education from Central Washington College and his masters degree from Whitworth College. He served with the U.S. Marine Corps and coached for 30 years, also serving as athletic director from 1959 to 1968, and central administration student activities coordinator from 1973 to 1982. He was presented the state's athletic director of the year award in 1979, retiring from the school district in 1982.
In 1993, he was inducted into the WSSAAA Hall of Fame.
Paul worked 19 years as a registered representative for Interpacific Investors Services.
He was the son of Paul Henley and Bernice Slate Henley, both deceased. He has cousins in this area including Vivian (Krider) Floyd, of Rogersville, Lonnie Krider, Norwood, and Donald and Harley Krider, of Peoria, Ill.
Memorial services were held in Seattle, Wash., and Sun City, Ariz.
Perna T. Hailey, 84

She was married Robert T. Hailey Aug. 8, 1939 in Ava. She had been a resident of Clovis, N.M., since 1995, moving from Lubbock, Texas.
She had been a longtime resident of the Tulsa area. She and her husband owned the Daylight Donut Shops in Tulsa and Broken Arrow, Okla. She was a member of the 16th and Pile Church of Christ in Clovis, N.M.
She was preceded in born July 25, 1925, to Alvah L. and Violet Mae (Stafford) Pruett in the Dogwood community of western Douglas County.
He death in 2005.
He retired from Southwest Missouri State University in 1987 where he was supervisor of the maintenance department.
He was preceded in Cemetery, Springfield.

Jack M. Richards was death by his parents, a daughter, Paula Ryan, two brothers, Bill and Marshall Richards, and one sister, Pauline Jenkins.
He is survived by his wife, Irene, of the home Ava; a son, Tony Richards and wife, Lisa, Ava; four grandchildren, Cody and Amanda Richards, Springfield, Rhonda and Tony Hollingsworth, O'Fallon, Rustin and Tina Ryan, Florissant, and Charley Hampton, Ava; great-grandchildren, Braxton Richards, Bryce and Grayson Atchison, Makenzie, Madison and Jacob Hollingsworth, Tyler and Ashley Ryan, and Jacob Nannie; one brother, Francis and Pauline Richards, Ava; a sister, Helen Dobbins, Ava; a son-in-law Ronald Ryan, of Arkansas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today (Thursday, Feb. 7) at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. Vernon Fuller officiating. Cemetery. A visitation was held Wednesday, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
